In the palace of "Gonril".

The fury of the king "Lear" calmed down.

And he considers her an example of disloyalty (not fulfilling her duty towards her father).

والْغَدْرِand treacheryوالكِبْرَآء.and arrogance.

And treachery and arrogance.

وَذَهَبَAnd the king wentالمَلِكُthe kingعَلَىimmediately toالْفَوْرِat onceإلىtoقَصْرِthe palaceبِنتِهِof his daughter«جُنْرِيلَ»"Gonril".

And the king went at once to the palace of his daughter "Gonril".

وَلَكِنَّهُBut heمَا عَتَّمَdid not delay(مَا لَبِثَ)(did not last)أَنْuntilأَدْرَكَhe realizedحَقَائِقَthe factsالأَشْيَاءِof thingsالَّتِيwhichكَانَwereالرِّيَاءُthe hypocrisyوَالنِّفَاقُand hypocrisyيَسْتُرَانِهَاwere concealing itعَنْfromنَاظِرَيْهِ،his eyes,وَيَحْجُبَانِهَاand were blocking itعَنْfromعَيْنَيْهِ.his eyes.

But he did not delay until he realized the facts of things that were being concealed from his eyes by hypocrisy and deceit.

وَعَرَفَAnd he knewأَنَّthatالأَلْفَاظَthe sweet wordsالمَعْسُولَة،the flattery,وَالْمَدَائِحَand the praisesالمُنَمَّقَةَornately crafted(المُزَخْرَفَةَ)(embellished)الزَّائِفَةَ،the false,لا تُغْنِيdo not benefitعَنِagainstالْحَقِّthe truthشَيْئًا.anything.

And he knew that sweet words, the embellished praises, do not benefit against the truth at all.

لَقَدْIndeed,تَمَلَّكَتِshe took possession ofالْبِلَادَthe land— بَعْدَ— afterأَبِيهَا —her father —وَظَفِرَتْand she triumphed(فَازَتْ)(won)بِكُلِّwith allمَا مَنَحَهَاthat he granted herإِيَّاهُfromمِنْpowerسُلْطَانٍand authority,وَقُوَّةٍ،and strength,وَاسْتَتَبَّand established(اِسْتَقَرَّ)(stabilized)

Indeed, she took possession of the land — after her father — and triumphed with all he granted her of power and strength, and established her rule;

So her first concern became to disguise herself against those who had done good to her, and to reward him for his praised deed with the worst reward, recompensing him wrongdoing with kindness, and disobedience with good, and betrayal with loyalty.
