عَمَلِيَmy workفِيinالْكِتَابِthe book
My work in the book:
خَرَجْتُI have derivedالأَحَادِيثَthe hadithsوَالْآثَارَand the narrationsالَّتِيthatأَمْكَنَنِيI couldالْوُقُوفَto standعَلَيْهَاupon themبِقَدْرِto the extentاسْتَطَاعَتِيof my ability
I have derived the hadiths and narrations that I could stand upon to the extent of my ability,
فَإِنْifكَانَit isفِيinالصَّحِيحَيْنِthe two authentic onesأَوْorفِيinأَحَدِهُمَاone of themفَإِنَّنِيthen Iأَكْتَفِيsufficeبِهُمَاwith both of them
if it is in the two authentic ones or one of them, then I suffice with them,
وَإِنْand ifكَانَit isفِيinغَيْرِهِمَاothersعَزَوْتُهُI have attributed itإِلَىtoأَهَمِّthe most importantمَصَادِرِهِsources of itتَفَادِيًاavoidingلِلْتَّطْوِيلِto prolongation
and if it is in others, I have attributed it to its most important sources to avoid prolongation,
وَذَكَرْنَاand we mentionedمَاwhatقِيلَwas saidعَنْهُabout itمِنْofصِحَّةِauthenticityوَضَعْفٍand weaknessمُسْتَرْشِدًاguidedبِأَقْوَالِby the sayingsالْعُلَمَاءِof scholarsالْمُعْتَبَرِينَthe respectedفِيinهَذَاthisالْفَنِّfield
and we mentioned what was said about it regarding authenticity and weakness, guided by the sayings of the respected scholars in this field,
دُونَwithoutأَنْthatيَكُونَit isلَنَاfor usزِيَادَةًadditionعَلَىonذَلِكَthat
without it being an addition to that.
قُمْتُI have madeبِعَمَلٍa workفَهَارِسَindexesلِأَحَادِيثِfor the hadithsالْمَتْنِof the textوَالشَّرْحِand the explanationوَفَهْرَسٍand an indexآخَرَanotherلِمَوَاضِيعِfor the topicsالْكِتَابِof the book
I have made indexes for the hadiths of the text and the explanation, and another index for the topics of the book.
آثَرْتُI preferredعَدَمَnot toذِكْرَmentionتَرْجَمَةًthe translationشَيْخِof SheikhالإِسْلامِIslamابْنِIbnتَيْمِيَّةَTamiyahمُكَتَّفِيًاsufficingبِالتَّرَاجِمِwith the translationsالَّتِيthatخَرَجْتُI have derivedلَهُfor himرَحِمَهُmay mercy be upon himوَهِيَand they areكَثِيرَةٌvery manyجِدًّاindeed
I preferred not to mention the translation of Sheikh Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, sufficing with the translations that I have derived for him, which are indeed very many.
كَمَاAsأَنَّنَاwe haveذَكَرْنَاmentionedتَرْجَمَةًthe translationمُوجَزَةًbriefلِلشَّيْخِof the SheikhمُحَمَّدٍMuhammadبْنِibnعُثَيْمِينِUthaymeenقَامَwho wroteبِكِتَابَتِهَاitالأَخِthe brotherالْفَاضِلِthe virtuousوَلِيدٍWalidبْنِbinأَحْمَدَAhmedالْحُسَيْنِAl-Hussein
As we have mentioned a brief translation for Sheikh Muhammad ibn Uthaymeen, who wrote it, the virtuous brother Walid ibn Ahmed Al-Hussein.
هَذَاthisهُوَisجُهْدٌeffortالمُقَلِّof the humbleوَأَنَاand Iأَعْلَمُknowبِأَنَّthatهُنَاكَthere areمِنْsomeطُلاَّبِstudentsالعِلْمِof knowledgeمَنْwho are more deservingهُوَthan meأُولَىthis workبِهَذَاwith thisالْعَمَلِwork
This is the effort of the humble, and I know that there are some students of knowledge who are more deserving of this work than me,
فَأَسْأَلُso I askاللَّهَAllahتَعَالَىthe Exaltedالْعَفْوَforgivenessوَالْمَغْفِرَةَand forgivenessوَأَنْand thatيُوَفِّقَنَاHe guides usلِمَاto whatفِيهِthere isالْخَيْرَgoodnessوَالصَّوَابَand correctness
so I ask Allah the Exalted for forgiveness and mercy, and that He guides us to what is good and correct.
كَمَاasأَرَىI seeلَازِمًاit is necessaryعَلَيَّupon meأَنْtoأَتَوَجَّهَI directبِالشُّكْرِwith gratitudeلِلَّهِto Allahعَزَّ وَجَلَّthe Almightyأَوَّلًاfirstثُمَّthenلِفَضِيلَةِfor the virtueالشَّيْخِof SheikhمُحَمَّدٍMuhammadبْنِibnعُثَيْمِينِUthaymeenنَفَعَwho has benefitedاللَّهَAllahبِعُلُومِهwith his knowledge
As I see it is necessary upon me to direct gratitude to Allah, the Almighty, first, then to the virtue of Sheikh Muhammad ibn Uthaymeen - may Allah benefit with his knowledge -
الَّذِيwhoأَوْلَانَاbestowed upon usمَثَلَexamplesالْعُقُودِthe contractsالدُّرِّيَّةِthe shiningلِابْنِof IbnعَبْدِAbdالْهَادِيAl-Hadiوَكَوَاكِبَand the starsالدُّرِّيَّةِthe shiningلِلشَّيْخِof SheikhمَرْعِيٍّMereiالْكَرْمِيِّthe Karmiالْحَنْبَلِيِّthe Hanbaliوَالرَّدِّand the rebuttalالْوَافِرِthe ampleلِابْنِof IbnنَاصِرِNasirالدِّينِthe religionالْدِّمَشْقِيِّthe Damasceneوَالْأَعْلَامِand the signsالْعَلِيَّةِthe highلِلْبَزَّارِof Al-Bazarوَغَيْرِهَاand othersكَثِيرٌmany
who has bestowed upon us like examples: "The shining contracts of Ibn Abd al-Hadi, the shining stars of Sheikh Merei Al-Karmi the Hanbali, the ample rebuttal of Ibn Nasir al-Din Al-Damascene, and the high signs of Al-Bazar, and many others."
