مَاذَاWhatعَمِلْتَdid you doلِيَوْمِfor the dayالنَّقْلَةِ؟of the transition?
What did you do for the day of the transition?
وَمَاذَاAnd whatعَمِلْتَdid you doلِيَوْمِfor the dayالْلِّقَاءِ؟of the meeting?
And what did you do for the day of the meeting?
فَإِنَّFor indeedأَكْثَرَmostالنَّاسَpeopleالْيَوْمَtodayيَنْظُرُونَare lookingمَاذَاwhatعَمِلُواthey have doneلِلْدُّنْيَا ؛for the world;مَعَwhileالْعِلْمِknowingبِأَنَّthatهَذِهِthisالدُّنْيَاworldالَّتِيthatعَمِلُواthey workedلَهَاfor itلَاnotيَدْرُونَknowهَلwhetherيُدْرِكُونَهَاthey can attain itأَمorلَا؟not?
For indeed, most people today are looking at what they have done for the world; while knowing that this world for which they have worked, they do not know whether they will attain it or not?
قَدMayيُخَطِّطُplanالْإِنْسَانُa personلِعَمَلٍfor workدُنْيَوِيٍّworldlyيَفْعَلُهُhe doesغَدًاtomorrowأَوorبَعْدَthe day afterغَدٍ،tomorrow,وَلَكِنَّهُbut heلَاdoes notيُدْرِكُrealizeغَدًاtomorrowوَلَاnorبَعْدَafterغَدٍ،tomorrow,وَلَكِنَّbutالشَّيْءَthe thingالْمُتَيَقِّنِcertainأَنَّthatأَكْثَرَmostالنَّاسَpeopleفِيinغَفْلَةٍheedlessnessمِنْfromهَذَا؛this;
May a person plan for a worldly work that he will do tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, but he does not realize tomorrow nor after tomorrow, but the certain thing is that most people are heedless of this;
قَالَGod saidاللَّهُGodتَعَالَى:Most High:﴿﴿بَلْNayقُلُوبُهُمْtheir heartsفِيare inغَمْرَةٍheedlessnessمِنْfromهَذَا﴾this﴾
God said: "Nay, their hearts are in heedlessness of this."
وَأَعْمَالُAnd the deedsالدُّنْيَاof the worldيَقُولُ:He says:﴿﴿وَهُمْAnd theyأَعْمَلُونَare busyمِنْfromدُونِother thanذَلِكَthatهُمْtheyلَهَاfor itعَامِلُونَ﴾are working﴾
He says: "And they are busy with other than that, they are working for it."
فَأَتَىHe cameبِالْجُمْلَةِwith the statementالْإِسْمِيَّةِnominalالْمُفِيدَةِbeneficialلِلثُّبُوتِfor permanenceوَالِاسْتِمْرَارِand continuity:﴿﴿هُمْtheyلَهَاfor itعَامِلُونَ﴾are working﴾
He came with the nominal statement that is beneficial for permanence and continuity: “they are working for it.”
وَقَالَAnd He saidتَعَالَى:Most High:﴿﴿لَقَدْIndeedكُنتَyou wereفِيinغَفْلَةٍheedlessnessمِّنْfromهَذَا﴾this﴾
And He said: "Indeed, you were in heedlessness of this."
يَعْنِي:Meaning:يَوْمَthe Dayالْقِيَامَةِ.of Resurrection.
Meaning: the Day of Resurrection.
وAndفَكَشَفْنَاWe liftedعَنكَfrom youغِطَاءًthe coverكَyou areفَبَصَرُكَand your sightالْيَوْمَtodayحَدِيدٌ [is sharp [ق :Q :۲۲]22]
And We lifted the cover from you; so today your sight is sharp.
هَذَاThisالْبَعْثُresurrectionالَّذِيthatاتَّفَقَتْagreedعَلَيْهِupon itالْأَدْيَانُthe religionsالسَّمَاوِيَّةُheavenlyوَكُلُّAnd everyمُتَدَيِّنٍreligiousبَدِينٍbelieverهُوَisأَحَدٌone ofأَرْكَانِthe pillarsالْإِيمَانِof faithالسِّتَّةِsixوَهُوَand it isمِنْfromمَعَتَقَدَاتِthe beliefsأَهْلِof the peopleالسُّنَّةِof the Sunnahوَالْجَمَاعَةِ،and the community,وَلَاand noيُنْكِرُهَاone denies itأَحَدٌanyoneمِمَّنْfrom whomيَنْتَسِبُone belongsإِلَىtoمِلَّةٍa creedأَبَدًا.ever.
This resurrection which the heavenly religions agreed upon, and every religious believer is one of the six pillars of faith, and it is from the beliefs of the people of the Sunnah and the community, and no one who belongs to a creed ever denies it.
وَالإِيمَانُAnd faithبِالْقَدَرِin predestinationخَيْرِهِits goodوَشَرِّهِ»and its evil"هَذَاThisالْرُّكْنُpillarالسَّادِسُ:sixth:الإِيمَانُthe faithبِالْقَدَرِin predestinationخَيْرٍgoodوَشَرِّهِ.and evil.
And faith in predestination, its good and its evil" This is the sixth pillar of faith.
الْقَدَرُ:Predestination:هُوَIt isتَقْدِيرُthe decreeاللَّهِof Allahعَزَّ وَجَلَّthe Almightyلِلْأَشْيَاءِ .for things.
Predestination: It is the decree of Allah, the Almighty, for things.
وَقَدْAnd it hasكَتَبَrecordedاللَّهُAllahمَقَادِيرَthe decreesكُلِّof everyشَيْءٍthingقَبْلَbeforeأَنْthatيَخْلُقَHe createdالسَّمَاوَاتِthe heavensوَالْأَرْضَand the earthبِخَمْسِينَwith fiftyأَلْفَthousandsسَنَةً (١)؛years (1);كَمَاasقَالَsaidاللَّهُAllahتَعَالَى:the Exalted:﴿﴿أَلَمْDid notتَعْلَمْyou knowأَنَّthatالْكِتَابِيَّthe one who has the booksمَقْدَارَthe amountكُلِّof everyشَيْءٍthingقَبْلَbeforeأَنْthatيَخْلُقَAllah createdالسَّمَاوَاتَthe heavens
And it has recorded Allah the decrees of every thing before He created the heavens and the earth fifty thousand years ago; as Allah the Exalted said: "Did not you know that
كَتَبَrecordedاللَّهُAllahمَقَادِيرَthe decreesالْخَلَائِقِof the creaturesقَبْلَbeforeأَنْthatيَخْلُقَHe createdالسَّمَاوَاتِthe heavensوَالْأَرْضَand the earthبِخَمْسِينَwith fiftyأَلْفَthousandسَنَةٍyears(١)؛(1);
Allah recorded the decrees of the creatures before He created the heavens and the earth, fifty thousand years ago;
