فَالْحَاصِلُSo the resultأَنْis thatكَوْنُthe existenceاللَّهِof Allahفِيinالسَّمَاءِthe skyأَمْرٌis a matterمَعْلُومٌknownبِالْفِطْرَةِby instinct

So the result is that the existence of Allah in the sky is a matter known by instinct.

وَاللَّهُAnd Allah؛;لَوْلَاif notفَسَادُthe corruptionفِطْرَةِof instinctهَؤُلَاءِof theseالْمُنْكِرِينَdeniersلِذَٰلِكof that؛;لَعَلِمُواthey would have knownأَنْthatاللَّهَAllahفِيinالسَّمَاءِthe skyبِدُونِwithoutأَنْthatيُطَالِعُواthey reviewأَيّanyكِتَابٍbook؛;لِأَنَّbecauseالأَمْرَthe matterالَّذِيthatتَدُلُّindicatesعَلَيْهِitالْفِطْرَةُthe instinctلَاdoes notيَحْتَاجُneedإِلَىtoمُرَاجَعَةٍthe reviewكُتُبٍof books

And if not for the corruption of the instincts of these deniers of that, they would have known that Allah is in the sky without having to review any book, because the matter indicated by instinct does not require the review of books.

وَالَّذِينَAnd those whoأَنْكَرُواdeniedعُلُوَّthe elevationاللَّهِof Allahعَزَّ وَجَلَّthe Almighty and Exaltedبِذَاتِهِin His essenceيَقُولُونَsayلَوْIfكَانَwasفِيinالْعُلُوِّthe elevationبِذَاتِهِby Himself؛;كَانَit would beفِيinجِهَةٍa direction،,وَإِذاand ifكَانَit wasفِيinجِهَةٍdirection؛;كَانَit would beمَحْدُودًاlimitedوَجِسْمًاand a body،,وَهَذَاand thisمُمْتَنِعٌis impossible

And those who denied the elevation of Allah the Almighty and Exalted in His essence say: If He was in the elevation by Himself, it would be in a direction, and if it was in a direction, it would be limited and a body, and this is impossible!

نَقُولُWe say؛;وَالْجَوَابَand the answerعَنْtoقَوْلِهِمtheir sayingإِنَّهُis that itيَلْزَمُnecessitatesأَنْthatيَكُونَit beمَحْدُودًاlimitedوَجِسْمًاand a body؛;أَوَّلًاFirst::لَاnotيَجُوزُit is permissibleإِبْطَالُto invalidateدَلَالَةَthe indicationsالنُّصُوصِof the textsبِمِثْلِby suchهَذِهِthisالتَّعْلِيلَاتِreasoning،,وَلَوْeven ifجَازَit is permittedهَذَاthis؛;لَأَمْكَنَit would be possibleكُلُّeveryشَخْصٍpersonلَاnotيُرِيدُwantingمَاwhatيَقْتَضِيْهِis necessitated by itالنَّصُّthe textأَنْthatيُعَلِّلُهُhe justifies itبِمِثْلِby suchهَذِهِthisالْعِلَلِweak reasonsالْعَلِيلَةِdiseased

We say: and the answer to their saying that it necessitates that it be limited and a body is that first, it is not permissible to invalidate the indications of the texts by such reasoning; even if it were permissible, it would allow every person who does not want what the text necessitates to justify it with such weak reasons.

فَإِذَاSo ifكَانَit wasاللَّهُAllahأَثْبَتَprovesلِنَفْسِهِfor Himselfالْعُلُوَّthe elevation،,وَرَسُولَهُand His Messengerأَثْبَتَprovesلَهُfor himالْعُلُوَّthe elevation،,وَالسَّلَفُand the pious predecessorsالصَّاحِحِينَthe righteousأَثْبَتُواhave provenلَهُfor himالْعُلُوَّelevation؛soفَلَاthen do notيُقْبَلُacceptأَنْthatيَأْتِيَa person comesشَخْصٌa personوَيَقُولُand saysلَاnotيُمْكِنُpossibleأَنْthatيَكُونَit beعُلُوٌّelevationذَاتٌof essence؛;لِأَنَّهُbecauseلَوْifكَانَit wasعُلُوٌّelevationذَاتٌof essence؛;لَكَانَit would beكَذَاthusوَكَذَاand thus؛;ثَانِيًاSecondly::نَقُولُWe sayإِنَّthatكَانَisمَاwhatذَكَرْتُمْyou mentionedلَازِمًاbindingلِإِثْبَاتِto proveالْعُلُوِّthe elevationلُزُومًاnecessityصَحِيحًاcorrectly؛:فَلْنَقُلْthen let us sayبِهِby it؛;لِأَنَّbecauseلَازِمٌthe necessaryكَلَامٌthe wordsاللَّهِof Allahوَرَسُولِهِand His Messengerحَقٌّis true؛;إِنَّindeedاللَّهَAllahتَعَالَىthe Most Highيَعْلَمُknowsمَاwhatيَلْزَمُis necessitatedمِنَfromكَلَامِهِHis words؛;فَلَوْso ifكَانَتْthey wereنُصُوصُthe textsالْعُلُوِّof the elevationتَسْتَلْزِمُrequireفَاسِدًاcorruptionمَعْنًىthe meaningفَاسِدًاof corruption؛;لَبَّيِّنَهُHe would clarify it،,وَلَكِنَّهَاbut theyلَاnotتَسْتَلْزِمُrequire

So if Allah established for Himself the elevation, and His Messenger proved it for Him, and the righteous predecessors proved it for Him, then it cannot be accepted that a person comes and says: 'It cannot be that there is elevation of essence; because if it were the elevation of essence, it would be this and that.' Secondly, we say: if what you mentioned is necessarily required in order to prove the elevation correctly, then let us take it; because the necessary words of Allah and His Messenger are true; indeed, Allah the Most High knows what is necessitated from His words; if the texts of the elevation were to necessitate a meaning that is corrupt, He would have clarified it, but they do not necessitate such a meaning.
