وَقَهَرَand subduedجَسَماًa body
And subdued a body.
فَيَكُونُSo it isمَعْنَىthe meaningاسْتَوَىof 'ascended'بَشَرٍa humanعَلَىuponالْعِرَاقِ؛Iraq;يَعْنِيmeans::عَلَاto riseعُلُوّhighnessغَلَبَةٌdominance
So the meaning of 'ascended' for a human upon Iraq means: to rise with a dominance.
وَأَمَّاAnd as forقَوْلُكُمْ:your statement:إِنَّهُIndeed, itيَلْزَمُfollowsمِنْfromتَفْسِيرِthe interpretationالِاسْتِوَاءِof 'ascension'
And as for your statement: that it follows from the interpretation of 'ascension' that God
فَجَوَابُهُIts answerكُلُّeverythingشَيْءٍthingيَلْزَمُfollowsمِنْfromكِتَابِthe Bookاللَّهِof Godوَسُنَّةِand the Sunnahرَسُولِهِ؛of His Messenger;فَهُوَit isحَقٌّ،the truth,وَيَجِبُand it is obligatoryعَلَيْنَاupon usأَنْtoنَلْتَزِمَadhereبِهِto it.
Its answer is: everything that follows from the Book of God and the Sunnah of His Messenger; it is the truth, and it is obligatory upon us to adhere to it.
وَلَكِنَّButالشَّأْنُthe matterكُلُّallالشَّأْنُthe matterأَنْthatيَكُونَit isهَذَاthisمِنْfromلَازِمٍthe necessaryكَلامِspeechاللَّهِof Godوَرَسُولِهِ؛and His Messenger;
But the matter, all the matter is that this is from the necessary speech of God and His Messenger;
لَأَنَّهُbecause itقَدْmayيَمْنَعُpreventأَنْthatيَكُونَit isلَازِمًا؛necessary;فَإِذَاSo ifثَبَتَit is establishedأَنَّهُthat itلَازِمٌ؛is necessary;فَلْيَكُنْlet it beوَلَاAnd thereحَرَجٌno difficultyعَلَيْنَاupon usإِذَاifقُلْنَاwe sayبِهِ.it.
because it may prevent that it is necessary; so if it is established that it is necessary; let it be; and there is no difficulty upon us if we say it.
ثُمَّThenنَقُولُwe say:مَاذَاWhatتَعْنُونَdo you meanبِالْجَسَدِby bodyالْمُمْتَنِع؟that is impossible?
Then we say: What do you mean by the impossible body?
إِنْIfأَرَدْتُمْyou intendبِهِby itأَنَّهُthat itلَيْسَis notلِلَّهِfor Godذَاتٌa selfتَتَّصِفُdescribedبِالْصِّفَاتِwith the attributesاللَّازِمَةِthe necessaryلَهَاfor it.
If you intend by it that it is not for God a self described with the necessary attributes for it.
فَقَوْلُكُمْThen your statementبَاطِلٌ؛is false;لَأَنَّbecauseلِلَّهِfor Godذَاتًاa true selfحَقِيقِيَّةًrealمُتَّصِفَةٌdescribedبِالْصِّفَاتِ،with the attributes,وَأَنَّand thatلَهُfor Himوَجْهًاa face,وَيْدًاand a hand,وَعَيْنًا ،and an eye,وَقَدَمًاand a shin;وَقُولُواAnd sayمَاwhatشِئْتُمْyou wishمِنْofاللَّوَازِمِthe necessitiesالَّتِيthat areهِيَareلَازِمَةٌnecessaryحَقٌّ .truth.
Then your statement is false; because for God it is a true self described with attributes, and that He has a face, and a hand, and an eye, and a shin; and say what you wish of the necessities that are necessary truth.
وَإِنْAnd ifأَرَدْتُمْyou intendبِالْجَسَدِby the bodyالَّذِيthatقُلْتُمْyou saidيَمْتَنِعُis impossibleأَنْthatيَكُونَit isاللَّهُGodجَسَدًا:a body:الْجَسَدُthe bodyالْمُرَكَّبُcomposedمِنَofالْعِظَامِbonesوَاللَّحْمِand fleshوَالدَّمِand bloodوَمَاand whatأَشْبَهَresemblesذَلِكَ؛that;
And if you intend by the body that you said is impossible that God is a body: the body composed of bones, flesh, blood, and whatever resembles that;
فَهَذَاthen thisمُمْتَنِعٌis impossibleعَلَىonاللَّهِGodوَلَيْسَand is notبِلَازِمٍnecessaryمِنَfromالْقَوْلِsayingبِأَنَّthatاسْتِوَاءَthe ascensionاللَّهِGodعَلَىuponالْعَرْشِthe Throne
Then this is impossible for God and it is not necessary from the saying that the ascension of God is upon the Throne.
وَأَمَّاAnd as forقَوْلُهُمْtheir statementإِنَّهُthat itيَلْزَمُfollowsأَنْthatيَكُونَit isمَحْدُوداً.limited.
And as for their statement that it follows that it is limited.
فَجَوَابُهُIts answerأَنْthatنَقُولُwe say:بِالتَّفْصِيلِ:in detail:مَاذَاWhatتَعْنُونَdo you meanبِالْحَدِّ؟by limitation?
Its answer is that we say: in detail: What do you mean by limitation?
