And entering into the saying about Allah without knowledge is a distortion of the texts of the Book and the Sunnah regarding the attributes and others, for when a person distorts the texts of the attributes; like when he says: 'what is meant by the two hands is the blessing,' he has spoken about Allah what he does not know from two aspects:

الْوَجْهُThe aspectالأَوَّلُthe firstأَنَّهُthat heنَفَىnegatedالظَّاهِرَthe apparentبِلاَwithoutعِلْمٍknowledge

the first aspect: that he negated the apparent without knowledge.

وَالثَّانِيAnd the secondأَثْبَتَestablishedلِلَّهِfor Allahخِلَافَهُcontrary to itبِغَيْرِwithoutدَلِيلٍevidence

And the second: he affirmed for Allah something contrary to it without evidence.

فَهُوَSo heيَقُولُsaysلَمْdid notيَرُدَّintendاللَّهَAllahكِذَاsuchوَأَرَادَand wantedكِذَاsuch

So he says: Allah did not intend such, and intended such.

So we say: bring the evidence that he did not intend such, and that he wanted such.

For if you do not bring the evidence, then you have spoken about Allah what you do not know.
