قَوْلٌsayingالْمُؤَلِّفُthe authorرَحِمَهُmay have mercyاللَّهُAllahبِسْمِIn the name ofاللَّهِAllahالرَّحْمَـٰنِthe Most Graciousالرَّحِيمِthe Most Merciful
The saying of the author, may Allah have mercy on him, 'In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful' is:

الْبِدَايَةُthe beginningبِالْبَسْمَلَةِwith the Basmalaهِيَisشَأْنٌthe affairالْمُؤَلِّفِينَof the authorsاقْتِدَاءٌfollowingبِكِتَابِby the BookجَمِيعٌallاللَّهَAllahحَيْثُwhereأَنزَلَHe revealedالْبَسْمَلَةَthe Basmalaفِيinابْتِدَاءِthe beginningكُلِّeachسُورَةٍSurahاسْتِنَادًاbasedإِلَىtoسُنَّةٍthe tradition
The beginning with the Basmala is the affair of the authors, following the Book of Allah; where He revealed the Basmala at the beginning of every Surah, based on the tradition of the Messenger ﷺ.
وَإِعْرَابٌAnd the grammatical analysisالْبَسْمَلَةِof the Basmalaوَمَعْنَاهَاand its meaningتَكَلَّمَhas spokenفِيهَاabout itالنَّاسُthe peopleكَثِيرًاa lotوَفِيand inمَتَعَلِّقِهَاits relationوَأَحْسَنُAnd the bestمَاwhatيُقَالُis saidفِيinذَلِكَthat
And the grammatical analysis of the Basmala and its meaning has been discussed a lot among people, and the best that can be said in that is that it is related to a deleted action, which is suitable for the context.
فَإِذَاSo ifقَدَّمْتَهَاyou present itبَيْنَbetweenيَدَيَّmy handsالْأَكْلِthe foodيَكُونُit would beالتَّقْدِيرُthe estimationبِسْمِIn the nameاللَّهِof AllahآكُلُI eatوَبَيْنَand betweenيَدَيَّmy handsالْقِرَاءَةُthe readingيَكُونُit would beالتَّقْدِيرُthe estimationبِسْمِIn the nameاللَّهِof AllahأَقْرَأُI read
So if you present it before the food, it would be estimated as: In the name of Allah I eat, and between the reading it would be estimated as: In the name of Allah I read.
نُقَدِّرُهَاWe estimate itفِعْلًاas an actionلِأَنَّbecauseالْأَصْلَthe originalفِيinالْعَمَلِthe workالْأَفْعَالِthe actionsلَاdo notالْأَسْمَاءِthe namesوَلِهَذَاand for thisكَانَتْit wasالْأَفْعَالُthe actionsتَعْمَلُperformبِلَاwithoutشَرْطٍconditionوَالْأَسْمَاءُand the namesلَاdo notتَعْمَلُperformإِلَّاexceptبِشَرْطٍwith a conditionلِأَنَّbecauseالْعَمَلُthe workأَصْلٌis the originفِيinالْأَفْعَالِthe actionsفَرَحٌjoyfulفِيinالْأَسْمَاءِthe names
We estimate it as an action, because the original in the work is the actions, and this is why the actions perform without condition and the names do not perform except with a condition; because the work is the origin in the actions, and joy in the names.
وَنُقَدِّرُهَاAnd we estimate itمُتَأَخِّرًاlater onلِفَائِدَتَيْنِfor two benefitsالأُولَىٰthe firstالْحَصْرُthe restrictionلِأَنَّbecauseتَقْدِيمُthe presentationالْمَعْمَلِof the actionيُفِيدُbenefitsالْحَصْرُthe restrictionفَيَكُونُand it becomesبِاسْمِIn the nameاللَّهِof AllahأَقْرَأُI readبِمَنْزِلَةِis likeلَاnotأَقْرَأُI readإِلَّاexceptبِاسْمِin the nameاللَّهِof Allah
And we estimate it later on for two benefits: the first is the restriction, because the presentation of the action benefits the restriction; and it becomes: In the name of Allah I read, is like: I do not read except in the name of Allah.
