يَشَاءُ،wills,وَلَمْand notيُشَارِكْهُshare with himأَحَدٌanyoneفِيinذَٰلِكَ؛that;كَمَاasقَالَsaidتَعَالَىٰ:the Exalted:﴿(قُلْSay,اُدْعُواcall uponالَّذِينَthose whoزَعَمْتُمْyou claimedمِنْfromدُونِbesidesاللَّهِAllah.لَاnotيَمْلِكُونَthey ownمِثْقَالَthe weight ofذَرَّةٍan atomفِيinالسَّمَاوَاتِthe heavensوَلَاand notفِيinالْأَرْضِ)the earth)[سَبَأ: ۲۳][Saba: 23]
He wills, and no one shares with Him in that; as Allah the Exalted said: “Say: Call upon those whom you asserted besides Allah. They do not possess the weight of an atom in the heavens or in the earth.” [Saba: 23]
عَلَىuponسَبِيلِwayالتَّعْيِينِ،the specification,وَمَاand that whichهُمْthey areفِيْهِمَاin both of themمِنْofشَرْكٍ)partnership)[سَبَأ : ۲۳][Saba: 23]
This is in reference to the specification, and they have no partnership in both of them.) [Saba: 23]
عَلَىforسَبِيلِwayالشُّيُوعِ،the generality,وَمَاand that whichلَهُhe hasمِنْهُمْof themمِنْofظَهِيرٍ)helper )[سَبَأ: ۲۳]؛[Saba: 23];لَمْdid notيُعَانِهِaid himفِيinهَذِهِtheseالسَّمَاوَاتِheavens,وَالْأَرْضِ،and the earth,﴿(وَلَاand notتَنْفَعُbenefitالشَّفَاعَةُthe intercessionعِندَهُin His presenceإِلَّاexceptلِمَنfor whomأَذِنَpermissionلَهُ﴾to him﴾
This is a general reference, and He has no helper from them. [Saba: 23]; he did not aid him in these heavens and the earth, “And the intercession will not benefit in His presence except for whom He grants permission.”
وَبِهَذَاAnd with this,تَقَطَّعَتْall ties were severedجَمِيعُallالْأَسْبَابِthe causesالَّتِيwhichيَتَعَلَّقُthey relateبِهَاto itالْمُشْرِكُونَthe polytheistsفِيinآلِهَتِهِم.their deities.
And with this, all ties were severed which the polytheists relate to their deities.
أَحَدٌanyoneفِيinفَالْـآلِهَةُso the deitiesهَذِهِtheseلَاdo notتَمْلِكُownمِنْofالسَّمَاوَاتِthe heavensوَالْأَرْضُand the earthشَيْئًاanythingمُعَيَّنًا،specific,وَلَيْسَتْand they are not
Any of the deities do not own anything specific in the heavens and the earth,
وَلَاnorشُرَكَاءَpartnersلِلَّهِ،to Allah,وَلَاand notمُعِينِينَhelpersوَلَاand notشَافِعَةٌintercedingإِلَّاexceptبِإِذْنِهِ،by His permission,يَقُولُ:He says:﴿(وَلَرَAnd certainlyيَكُونَthere will not beلَمْnotشَرِيكٌpartnerفِيinالْمُلْكِ،the dominion[الإسراء: ١١١].[Al-Isra: 111].
And they are not partners to Allah, nor helpers, nor interceding except by His permission, He says: “And certainly there will not be a partner in the dominion.” [Al-Isra: 111].
وَقَوْلُهُ:And His saying:﴿(وَلَمْAnd notيَكُنْthere isلَّهُfor Himوَلِيٌّa allyمِّنَfromالذُّلِّthe humiliation:لَمْnotيَكُنْhaveلَهُfor himوَلِيٌّ،an ally,لَكِنَّهُbut Heقَيَّدَhas prefixedبِقَوْلِهِwith His sayingمِنَfromالذُّلِّ.the humiliation.
And His saying: “And not there is for Him an ally from humiliation: He has not had for Him an ally, but He has prefixed with His saying: from humiliation.
وَمِنْAnd fromهُنَاhere;لِلْتَعْلِيلِ؛for the reason;لِأَنَّbecauseاللَّهُAllah,تَعَالَىٰthe Exaltedلَهُfor Himأَوْلِيَاءَ:allies:أَلَاCertainly,إِنَّthat indeedأَوْلِيَاءَthe alliesاللَّهِof Allahلَاnoخَوْفٌfearعَلَيْهِمْon themوَلَاand notهُمْthey areيَحْزَنُونَsad.
And of course, the allies of Allah will have no fear upon them, nor will they grieve.
**الَّذِينَthose whoءَامَنُواbelievedوَكَانُواand wereيَتَّقُونَthey were pious.”﴾)[يُونُس : ۶۲ - ۶۳]،[Yunus: 62 - 63],وَقَالَAnd He saidتَعَالَىٰthe Exaltedفِيinالْحَدِيثِthe hadith:مِنْfromعَادَىَwhoever antagonizesلِيfor Me;وَلِيًّا؛a friend;فَقَدْhas certainlyآذَنْتُهُI have declared warبِالْحَرْبِ....(۱)،against him...(1),وَلَكِنَّButالْوَلِيُّthe allyالْمُنَفِيُّdeniedهُوَisالْوَلِيُّthe allyمِنَfromالذُّلِّ؛the humiliation;لَأَنَّbecauseاللَّهُAllahتَعَالَىٰthe Exalted;لَهُfor Himالْعِزَّةَthe Gloryجَمِيعًا؛the entirety;فَلَاso do notيَلْحَقُهُattach to Himالذُّلَّhumiliationبِوَجْهٍin any way;مِنْofالْوُجُوهِ؛the ways;لِكَمَالِfor the perfectionعِزَّتِهِ.of His glory.
But the ally that is denied is the ally from humiliation; because Allah, the Exalted, has glory completely; so no humiliation can attach to Him in any way because of the perfection of His glory.
وَقَوْلُهُ:And His saying:﴿(وَكَبِّرْهُAnd magnify Him,تَكْبِيرًا)in glorification)؛;
And His saying: “And magnify Him in glorification)
