يَعْبُدُونَهُمْThey worship themكَمَاasيَعْبُدُونَthey worshipاللَّهَAllahوَيُنْذِرُونَand they dedicateلَهُمْto themكَمَاasيُنْذِرُونَthey dedicateلِلَّهِto Allah؛لِأَنَّهُمْbecause theyيُحِبُّونَهُمْlove themكُحُبٍّas the loveاللَّهِof Allah؛يُحِبُّونَthey loveهَذِهِtheseالأَندَادَpartnersكُحُبٍّas the loveاللَّهِof Allahعَزَّ وَجَلَّExalted and Glorified؛وَهَذَاand thisإِشْرَاكٌis associatingفِيinالمَحَبَّةِlove؛بِحَيْثٍso thatتَجْعَلَyou makeغَيْرَother thanاللَّهِAllahمِثْلَlikeاللَّهِAllahفِيinمَحَبَّتِهHis love
They worship them as they worship Allah, and they dedicate to them as they dedicate to Allah; because they love them as they love Allah; they love these partners as they love Allah, Exalted and Glorified. And this is associating in love, so that it makes others equal to Allah in His love.
يَجِبُIt is necessaryوَإِنْطَبَقَand it appliesذَٰلِكَthatعَلَىtoمَنْwhoأَحَبَّlovedرَسُولَthe Messengerاللَّهِof Allahكُحُبٍّas loveاللَّهِof Allah؛لِأَنَّهُbecauseأَنَّthatتُحِبُّyou loveرَسُولَthe Messengerاللَّهِof Allahمَحَبَّةًloveلَيسَتْis notكَمَحَبَّةِlike the loveاللَّهِof Allah؛لِأَنَّكَbecause youإِنَّمَاonlyتُحِبُّyou loveالرَّسُولَthe Messengerﷺ(peace be upon him)
And it applies to those who love the Messenger of Allah as they love Allah; because you love the Messenger only with a love that is not like the love of Allah; because you love the Messenger (peace be upon him) only as a follower of the love of Allah, Exalted and Glorified, not as a call of Allah; so how about those who love the Messenger not more than they love Allah?!
وَهُنَاAnd hereيَجِبُit is necessaryأَنْtoنَعْرِفَwe knowالفَرْقَthe differenceبَيْنَbetweenالمَحَبَّةِthe loveمَعَwithاللَّهِAllahوَالْمَحَبَّةِand the loveلِلَّهِfor Allah:المَحَبَّةُThe loveمَعَwithاللَّهِAllah:أَنْis toتَجْعَلَmakeغَيْرَother thanاللَّهِAllahمِثْلَهُlike HimفِيinمَحَبَّتِهِHis loveأَوْorأَكْثَرَmoreوَهَذَاand thisشِرْكٌis associatingوَاضِحٌis clear
And here it is necessary to know the difference between love with Allah and love for Allah: The love with Allah is to make other than Allah like Him in His love or more. And this is clear associating.
وَالْمَحَبَّةُAnd the loveفِيinاللَّهِAllahأَوْorلِلَّهِfor Allahهِيَisأَنْtoتُحِبَّloveالشَّيْءَthe thingتَبَعًاfollowingلِمَحَبَّةِthe loveاللَّهِof Allahعَزَّ وَجَلَّExalted and Glorified
And the love for Allah is to love something following the love of Allah, Exalted and Glorified.
وَالَّذِيAnd whatنَسْتَفِيدُهُwe deriveمِنَfromالنَّاحِيَةِthe aspectالمَسْلَكِيَّةِof conductفِيinهَذِهِtheseالْآيَاتِverses
And what we derive from the aspect of conduct in these verses:
أَوَّلًاFirst:فِيInقَوْلِهِHis saying﴿نَبَرَكَBlessedاسْمُis the name ofرَبِّكَyour Lordذِيofالْجَلاَلِthe majestyوَالإكْرَامِand honor﴾[الرَّحْمَـٰنِ[the Most Merciful:تَفْسِيرٌinterpretation:إِذاIfعَلِمْنَاwe knowأَنَّthatاللَّهَAllahعَزَّ وَجَلَّExalted and Glorifiedمَوْصُوفٌis describedبِالْجَلاَلِwith majesty;فَإِنَّthenذَٰلِكَthatيَسْتَوْجِبُnecessitatesأَنْtoنُعَظِّمَهُwe glorify Him،وَأَنْand toنُجَلِّلَهُrevere Him؛وَإِذاAnd ifعَلِمْنَاwe knowأَنَّهُthat Heمَوْصُوفٌis describedبِالْإكْرَامِwith honorفَإِنَّthenذَٰلِكَthatيَسْتَوْجِبُnecessitatesأَنْtoنَرْجُوَwe hopeكَرَمَهُHis generosityوَفَضْلَهُand His grace،وَبِذَٰلِكَAnd thusنُعَظِّمَهُwe glorify Himبِمَاwith whatيَسْتَحِقُّهُHe deservesمِنَofالتَّعْظِيمِgloryوَالتَّكْرِيمِand honor
First: In His saying: ﴿ Blessed be the name of your Lord, the Lord of Glory and Honor ﴾ [the Most Merciful: 55:78]; if we know that Allah, Exalted and Glorified, is described with majesty; then that necessitates that we glorify Him and revere Him. And if we know that He is described with honor; then that necessitates that we hope for His generosity and grace. And thus we glorify Him with what He deserves of glory and honor.
ثَانِيًاSecond:قَوْلُهُHis saying﴿فَاعْبُدْهُSo worship Himوَأَصْطَبِرْand be patientلِعِبَادَتِهِfor His worship﴾[مَرْيَمَ: ٦٥][Mary: 65]؛فَالفَوَائِدُAmong the benefits.
Second: His saying: ﴿ So worship Him and be patient for His worship ﴾ [Mary: 65]; Among the benefits.
