لَاnotتَصَحُّvalidأَنْtoتَكُونَbeبِمَعْنَىin the meaning ofالْعِلْمِ؛knowledge;لِأَنَّbecauseاللَّهَGodيَعْلَمُknowsبِهِby itحِينًwhenيَقُومُstandsوَقَبْلَand beforeأَنْtoيَقُومَ،stands,وَأَيْضًاand alsoلِقَوْلِهِ:for His saying:﴿﴿وَتَقَلُّبَكَand Your turningفِيinالسَّاجِدِينَ)،the prostrators),وَهُوَand it isيُؤَيِّدُsupportsأَنْthatالْمُرَادَwhat is intendedبِالرُّؤْيَةِby the visionهُنَاhereرُؤْيَةٌvisionالْبَصَرِ.the sight.
It cannot mean knowledge; because God knows it when he stands and before he stands, and also due to His saying: ﴾ and your turning among those who prostrate), which supports that what is meant by vision here is the vision of sight.
وَمَعْنَىand the meaningالْآيَةِof the verseأَنْthatاللَّهَGodتَعَالَىthe Most Highيَرَاهُsees himحِينًwhenيَقُومُstandsلِلصَّلَاةِfor prayerوَحِيدًا،alone,وَحِينًand whenيَتَقَلَّبُhe turnsفِيinالصَّلَاةِthe prayerمَعَwithالسَّاجِدِينَthe prostratorsفِيinصَلَاةِprayerالْجَمَاعَةِ.the congregation.
And the meaning of the verse is that God Almighty sees him when he stands for prayer alone, and when he turns in prayer with those who prostrate in congregational prayer.
وَandهُوَHe isالسَّمِيعُthe All-Hearingالْعَلِيمُ﴾the All-Knowing﴾::﴿﴿إِنَّIndeed, Godرُ;أَيْ:that is:اللَّهَGodالَّذِيwhoيَرَاكَsees youحِينَwhenتَقُومُyou stand::﴿﴿هُوَHe isالسَّمِيعُthe All-Hearingالْعَلِيمُthe All-Knowing
And indeed, He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing: that is: God, who sees you when you stand: He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.
وَفِيAnd inالْآيَةِthe verseهُنَاhereضَمِيرٌthe pronounالْفَصْلِof separation(هُوَ)؛(he);مِنfromفَوَائِدِهَاits benefits;الْحَصْرِ؛the restriction;فَهَلSo is itأَنْthatالْحَصْرَthe restrictionهُنَاhereحَقِيقِيٌّ؛true;بِمَعْنَى:meaning:حَصْرٌa restrictionلَاdoes notيُوجَدُexistشَيْءٌthingمِنofالْمُحْصُورِthe restrictedفِيinغَيْرِother thanالْمُحْصُورِthe restrictedفِيهِ،in it,أَوorهُوَisإِضَافِيٌّ؟additional?
And in this verse here is the pronoun of separation (هو); among its benefits is the restriction; so is the restriction here true; meaning: a restriction there is no existence of the restricted that is not in the restricted, or is it additional?
الْجَوَابُThe answer::هُوَisإِضَافِيٌّadditionalمِنfromوَجْهٍone aspectحَقِيقِيٌّtrueمِنfromوَجْهٍ؛aspect;لِأَنَّbecauseالْمُرَادَthe intendedبِـbyالْسَّمِيعِthe All-Hearingهُنَاhere::ذُوthe ownerالسَّمْعِof hearingالْكَامِلِthe completeالْمُدْرِكُperceivingلِكُلِّfor allمَسْمُوعٍ،heard;وَهَذَاand thisهُوَisالْخَاصُّspecialبِاللَّهِto Godعَزَّ وَجَلَّthe Mighty and Majestic;وَالْحَصْرُand the restrictionبِهَذَاby thisالْاعْتِبَارِconsiderationحَقِيقِيٌّ،is true,أَمَّاAs forمُطْلَقَabsoluteالسَّمْعِ؛hearing;فَقَدْit couldيَكُونَbeمِنofالْإِنْسَانِ؛human;كَمَاasفِيinقَوْلِهِHis sayingتَعَالَى:the Most High:﴿﴿إِنَّاIndeed, Weخَلَقْنَاcreatedالْإِنْسَانَthe humanمِنfromنُّطْفَةٍa sperm drop;أَمَشَاحٍa clinging mass;نَبْتَلِيهِWe test him;فَجَعَلْنَاهُso we made himسَمِيعًاhearingبَصِيرًاseeing﴾﴾[﴾[الْإِنْسَانِHuman::٢]؛2];فَجَعَلَSo He madeاللَّهُAllahتَعَالَىthe Most Highالْإِنْسَانَthe humanسَمِيعًاhearingبَصِيرًا.seeing.
And the human; as in His saying the Most High: ﴿ Indeed, We created the human from a sperm drop that clings; We test him; so We made him hearing, seeing﴾ [Human: 2]; So He made Allah the Most High the human hearing and seeing.
وَكَذَٰلِكَAnd likewiseعَلَيْهِ؛also he;فَإِنَّSo indeedالْإِنْسَانَhumanعَلِيمٌ؛knowledgeable;كَمَاAsقَالَHe said;اللَّهُGodتَعَالَىthe Most Highوَبَشَّرُوهُand He made himيَعْلَمُknowledgeableعَلِيمٌknowledgeable;
And likewise; So indeed, the human is knowledgeable; as God Almighty said; and He made him knowledgeable.
لَكِنَّButالْعِلْمُthe knowledgeالْمُطْلَقُabsolute;--أَيْ:that is:الْكَامِلُfull--خَاصٌّspecificبِاللَّهِto God;سُبْحَانَهُthe Most Gloriousوَتَعَالَى؛and the Most High;فَالْحَصْرُso the restrictionبِهَذَاby thisالْاعْتِبَارُconsideration;حَقِيقِيٌّ.is true.
But the absolute knowledge - that is: complete - is specific to God, the Most Glorious and the Most High; so the restriction by this consideration is true.
وَفِيAnd inهَذِهِthisالْآيَةِverseالْجَمْعُthe conjunctionبَيْنَbetweenالسَّمْعِthe hearingوَالرُّؤْيَةِ.and the vision.
And in this verse, there is a conjunction between hearing and vision.
