وَتَكْرِيمٌ؛And honor;كَإِضَافَةٍAs an additionالنَّاقَةُof the she-camelوَالْبَيْتُand the houseإِلَىtoاللَّهِAllah.وَالْمَسَاجِدُAnd the mosquesإِلَىtoاللَّهِ.Allah.
And honor; as an addition of the she-camel and the house to Allah and the mosques to Allah.
وَالْقَوْلُAnd the sayingالثَّانِي:the second:أَنَّهُthat itعَلَىis uponصُورَتِهِHis imageحَاقِقَةًin realityوَلَاand notيَلْزَمُrequiredمِنfromذَٰلِكَthatالتَّمَاثُلُ.likeness.
And the second saying: that it is upon His image in reality and it does not require likeness.
الْآيَةُThe verseالثَّانِيَةُthe second:قَوْلُهُHis saying﴿﴿وَقَالَتِAnd saidالْيَهُودُthe JewsيَدُThe handاللَّهِof Allahمَعْلُولَةٌis crippledغُلَتْare restrainedأَيْدِيهِمْtheir handsوَلُعِنُواand they were cursedبِمَاfor whatقَالُواthey saidبَلْRather,يَدَاهُHis two handsمَبْسُوطَتَانِare spread outيُنْفِقُspendsكَيْفَas He willsيَشَاءُ)(He wishes)
The second verse: His saying: "And the Jews said: The hand of Allah is crippled; their hands are restrained, and they were cursed for what they said; rather, His two hands are spread out; He spends as He wills."
الْيَهُودُThe JewsهُمْThey areأَتْبَاعُfollowersمُوسَىof Mosesعَلَيْهِpeace be upon him.
The Jews are followers of Moses, peace be upon him.
سُمِّيَThey were calledيَهُوداً؛Jews;قِيلَit is saidلَأَنَّهُمْbecause theyقَالُوا:said:﴿﴿إِنَّاIndeed, weهُدْنَاhave repentedإِلَيْكَ﴾to You﴾[الأعراف[Al-A'raf:١٥٦]،156],وَبِنَاءًAnd basedعَلَىonهَذَاthisيَكُونُit isالْاسْمُthe nameعَرَبِيّاً؛Arabian;لَأَنَّbecauseهَادَHadhيَهُوذُYahoudـ إِذَا-ifرَجَعَreturnsعَرَبِيٌّ.Arabic.
They were called Jews; it is said because they said: 'Indeed, we have repented to You' [Al-A'raf: 156], and based on this, the name becomes Arabic; because 'Hadh' if it returns is Arabic.
وَقِيلَAnd it is saidإِنَّthat itsأَصْلَهُoriginيَهُوذَا،is Judah,اسْمٌthe nameأَحَدٌone ofأَوْلَادِthe sonsيَعْقُوبَ،of Jacob,وَالْيَهُودُand the Jewsمِنْofنُسِبُواwere namedإِلَيْهِ،after him,لَكِنَّbutعِندَatالتَّعْرِيبِthe Arabisationصَارَتْbecameالذَّالُthe 'Th'دَالاً،as 'D',فَقِيلَso it is saidيَهُودٌ.Jews.
And it is said that its root is Judah, the name of one of the sons of Jacob, and the Jews are those who were named after him, but at Arabization, the 'Th' became 'D', so they are called Jews.
وَأَيًّاAnd whichever
And whichever
كَانَwasلَاnotيَهْمُنَاconcerns usأَنْthatأَصْلُهُits originهَذَاthisأَوْorهَذَا.this.
And whichever was not concerns us that its origin is this or this.
وَلَكِنَّاBut weنَعْلَمُknowأَنْthatالْيَهُودَthe Jewsهُمْareطَائِفَةٌa groupمِنْofبَنِيthe childrenإِسْرَائِيلَ،of Israel,اتَّبَعُواfollowedمُوسَىMoses,عَلَيْهِpeace be upon him.
But we know that the Jews are a group of the children of Israel, who followed Moses, peace be upon him.
وَهَؤُلَاءِAnd theseالْيَهُودُthe Jewsمِنْareأَشَدَّthe most severeالنَّاسِof peopleعَتْوًۭاrebellionوَنَفُورًۭا؛and aversion;لِأَنَّbecauseعَتُواthe rebellionفِرْعَوْنَof Pharaohوَتَسَلُّطَهُand his tyrannyعَلَيْهِمْover themجَعَلَmadeذَٰلِكَthatيَنْطَبِعُimprintفِيinنَفُوسِهِمْ،their souls,وَصَارَand it becameفِيهِمin themالْعَتُوُّthe rebellionعَلَىagainstالنَّاسِ،the people,بَلْratherوَعَلَىand onالْخَالِقِthe Creatorعَزَّ وَجَلَّ؛the Majestic;فَهُمْtheyيَصِفُونَdescribeاللَّهَAllahتَعَالَىthe Most Highبِأَوْصَافٍwith attributesالْعُيُوبِ -of defects -قُبْحَهُمْcursed be them,وَهُمْand theyأَهْلُهَا.the people of it.
And these Jews are the most severe of people in rebellion and aversion; because the rebellion of Pharaoh and his tyranny over them made that imprint in their souls, and it became in them the rebellion against people, rather against the Creator, the Majestic; they describe Allah, the Most High, with attributes of defects - cursed be them, and they are the people of it.
يَقُولُونَThey say,يَدُthe handاللَّهِof Allahمَغْلُولَةٌ؛is constrained;أَي:that is:مُحْبَسَةٌis imprisonedعَنْfromالْإِنْفَاقِ؛spending;كَمَاasقَالَsaidاللَّهُAllahتَعَالَى:the Most High:﴿﴿وَلَاAnd do notتَجْعَلْmakeيَدَكَyour handمَغْلُولَةًboundإِلَىtoعُنُقِكَyour neck;"[الإسراء:[Al-Isra:٢٩]؛29];أَي:that is:مُحْبَسَةٌis imprisonedعَنْfromالْإِنْفَاقِ.spending.
They say, 'The hand of Allah is constrained;' that is: it is imprisoned from spending; as Allah, the Most High, said: 'And do not make your hand bound to your neck;' [Al-Isra: 29]; that is: it is imprisoned from spending.
