فَشَيْئًا،Gradually,وَيَخْرُجُand comes outهَذَاthisالْغَمَامُcloudيَثُورُstirs upثَوَارًاthe outbreakالدُّخَانُ،of smoke,يَنْبَعِثُemanatesشَيْئًاgraduallyفَشَيْئًا.little by little.
Gradually, this cloud stirs up an outbreak of smoke, emanating little by little.
تَشَقَّقَcracksالسَّمَاءُthe sky;بِالْغَمَامِ؛with clouds;مِثْلَlikeمَاwhatيُقَالُ:is said:تَشَقَّقَcracksالْأَرْضُthe earth;بِالنَّبَاتِ؛with vegetation;يَعْنِيmeans:يَخْرُجُit comes outالْغَمَامُthe cloudمِنْfromالسَّمَاءِthe skyوَيَثُورُand stirs upمُتَتَابِعًا،successively,وَذَلِكَand thatلِمَجِيءِis due to the comingاللَّهِof Allahعَزَّ وَجَلَّthe Exalted and Majestic;لِلْفَصْلِto separateبَيْنَbetweenعِبَادِهِ؛His servants;فَهُوَit is aيَوْمٌdayرَهِيبٌterrible,عَظِيمٌ.great.
The sky cracks with clouds; like what is said: the earth cracks with vegetation; that is, the cloud comes out of the sky and stirs up successively, and that is due to the coming of Allah, the Exalted and Majestic, to separate between His servants; it is a terrible, great day.
قَوْلُهُHis saying:وandنَزَلَتِdescendالْمُمَلَّكَةُthe angelsتَنزِيلًا ﴾:descending:يَنْزِلُونَthey descendمِنَfromالسَّمَاوَاتِthe heavensشَيْئًاlittle by little,فَشَيْئًا،gradually,تَنْزِلُthey descendمَلَائِكَةٌangelsالسَّمَاءِof the first heaven,الدُّنْيَا،the lower,ثُمَّthen,الثَّانِيَةُ،the second,ثُمَّthen,الثَّالِثَةَ ...the third ...وَهَكَذَا.and so on.
His saying: "And the angels descend, little by little, they descend from the heavens; the first, then the second, then the third... and so on."
وَهَذِهِAnd thisالْآيَةُverseفِيinسِيَاقِهَاits contextلَيْسَis notفِيهَاin itذِكْرٌmentionمَجِيءٌof the comingاللَّهِ،of Allah,لَكِنَّbutفِيهَاin itالإِشَارَةُthe indicationإِلَىtoذَٰلِكَ؛that;لِأَنَّbecauseتَشَقَّقَthe crackingالسَّمَاءُof the skyبِالْغَمَامِwith cloudsإِنَّمَاonlyيَكُونُisلِمَجِيءِdue to the comingاللَّهِ؛of Allah;تَعَالَى؛the Most High;بِدَلِيلِas evidenceالْآيَاتُthe versesالسَّابِقَةُpreceding.
And this verse in its context does not mention the coming of Allah, but it indicates that; because the cracking of the sky with clouds is due to the coming of Allah, the Most High; as evidence from the preceding verses.
هَذِهِTheseأَرْبَعٌfourآيَاتٌversesسَاقَهَاpresented by the authorالْمُؤَلِّفُthe authorلِإِثْبَاتِto proveصِفَةٍa traitمِنْofصِفَاتِthe attributesاللَّهِ،of Allah,وَهِيَand they areالْمَجِيءُthe comingوَالْإِتِيَانُ.and arriving.
These are four verses presented by the author to prove a trait of the attributes of Allah, which are the coming and arriving.
وَأَهْلُAnd the peopleالسُّنَّةِof the Sunnahوَالْجَمَاعَةِand the communityيُثْبِتُونَaffirmأَنَّthatاللَّهَAllahيَأْتِيcomesبِنَفْسِهِ؛by Himself;هُوَ؛He;لِأَنَّbecauseاللَّهَAllahتَعَالَىthe Most Highذَكَرَmentionedذَلِكَthatعَنْaboutنَفْسِهِ؛Himself;وَهُوَand HeسُبْحَانَهُGlorified is He;أَعْلَمُis more knowledgeableبِنَفْسِهِof Himselfوَبِغَيْرِهِ؛and about others;وَأَصْدَقُand more truthfulقَوْلًاin speech;مِنْfromغَيْرِهِother;وَأَحْسَنُand the bestحَدِيثًا؛in narration;فَكَلَامُهُHis wordsمُشْتَمِلَةٌcontainعَلَىonأَكْمَلِthe most completeالْعِلْمِknowledgeوَالْصِّدْقِand truthfulness;وَالْبَيَانِand clarity;وَالْإِرَادَةِ؛and will;فَاللَّهُso Allahعَزَّ وَجَلَّthe Exalted and Majesticيُرِيدُwantsأَنْtoيُبَيِّنَexplain to usالْحَقَّthe truthوَهُوَand Heأَعْلَمُis more knowledgeableوَأَصْدَقُand more truthfulوَأَحْسَنُand betterحَدِيثًا.in speech.
The people of the Sunnah and the community affirm that Allah comes by Himself; because Allah, the Most High, mentioned that about Himself; and He, Glorified is He, is more knowledgeable of Himself and about others; and more truthful in speech than others; and the best in narration; so His words contain the most complete knowledge, truthfulness, clarity, and will; so Allah, the Exalted and Majestic, wants to explain to us the truth, and He is more knowledgeable, more truthful, and better in speech.
لَكِنَّButيَبْقَىthe question remains:السُّؤَالُThe questionهَلis whetherتَعْلَمُyou knowكَيْفِيَّةَthe way ofهَذَاthisالْمَجِيءُ؟coming?
But the question remains: Do you know the way of this coming?
الْجَوَابُThe answer:لَاNo,نَعْلَمُهَا؛we do not know it;لِأَنَّbecauseاللَّهَAllahسُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىthe Glorified and Exaltedأَخْبَرَنَاhas informed usأَنَّهُthat Heلَدَيْهِhasعِلْمٌknowledgeكَيْفِيَّةَof the wayهَذَاof thisالْمَجِيءِ.coming.
The answer: No, we do not know it; because Allah, the Glorified and Exalted, has informed us that He has knowledge of the way of this coming.
