قَالَsaidاللَّهُAllahتَعَالَىExalted:وَقَضَىAnd decreedرَبُّكَyour Lordأَلَّاthat notتَعْبُدُواyou worshipإِلَّاexceptإِيَّاهُHim
Allah, the Exalted, said: "And your Lord has decreed that you not worship except Him..."
إِلَىtoقَوْلِهِHis saying:هُوَit isكُلُّallذَلِكَthatكَانَwasسَيْتُهُHis intentionعِندَwithرَبِّكَyour Lordمَكْرُوهَاdisliked
to His saying: "It was all disliked at your Lord."
وَكَمَاAnd asفِيinهَذِهِthisالْآيَةِverseالَّتِيthatذَكَرَهَاmentionedالْمُؤَلِّفُthe author:﴿وَلَكِنَButكَرِهَdislikedاللَّهُAllahانْبِعَاثَهُمْtheir mentioning﴾التَّوْبَةُ repentance:٤٦46
And as in this verse mentioned by the author: "But Allah disliked their mentioning."
وَقَالَAnd saidالنَّبِيُّthe Prophet ﷺ:«إنَّIndeedاللَّهَAllahكَرِهَdislikedلَكُمْfor youقِيلَto sayوَقَالَand said(۱)
And the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Indeed Allah has disliked for you to say and say."
فَالْكَرَاهَةُSo dislikeثَابِتَةٌis establishedبِالْكِتَابِin the Bookوَالسُّنَّةِand the Sunnah;أَنْthatاللَّهَAllahتَعَالَىExaltedيَكْرَهُdislikes
So dislike is established in the Book and the Sunnah; that Allah, the Exalted, dislikes.
وَكَرَاهَةُAnd dislikeاللَّهُAllahسُبْحَانَهُGlory be to Himوَتَعَالَىand Exaltedلِلشَّيْءِfor the thingتَكُونُisلِلْعَمَلِfor the action;كَمَاAsفِيinالْآيَةِthe verse:لَوْIfوَلَكِنْbutكَرِهَdislikedاللَّهُAllahانْبِعَاثَهُمْtheir rise
And the dislike of Allah, Glory be to Him, for the action; as in the verse: 'But Allah disliked their rise.'
وَكَمَاAnd asفِيinقَوْلِهِHis saying:وَكُلُّand allذَلِكَthatكَانَwasسَيْتُهُHis intentionعِندَwithرَبِّكَyour Lordمَكْرُوهَاdisliked
And as in His saying: 'And it was all disliked at your Lord.'
وَتَكُونُAnd isأَيْضًاalsoلِلْعَامِلِfor the worker;كَمَاasجَاءَcameفِيinالْحَدِيثِthe hadith:«إنَّIndeedاللَّهَAllahتَعَالَىExaltedإِذَاifأَبْغَضَhatesعَبْدًاa servant;نَادَىcallsجِبْرِيلَGabriel;إِنِّيI indeedأَبْغَضُhateفُلَانًاso and so:فَأَبْغِضْهُSo hate him(۲)
And is also for the worker; as came in the hadith: "Indeed, Allah, the Exalted, if He hates a servant, He calls Gabriel: 'I hate so and so; so hate him.'"
الْآيَةُThe verseالْخَامِسَةُthe fifth:قَوْلُهُHis saying:﴿كَبُرَwas greatمَقْتًاdislikeعِندَwithاللَّهِAllahأَنْthatتَقُولُواyou sayمَاwhatلَاnotتَفْعَلُونَyou do)[الصف(The rank:٣3
The fifth verse: His saying: "Great is the dislike with Allah that you say what you do not do."
كَبُرَWas great;بِمَعْنَىmeaning:عَظُمَgreat.مَقْتًاdislike:تَمْيِيزٌdifferentiationمَحُولٌtransferredعَنْfromالْفَاعِلِthe doerوَالْمَقْتُAnd the dislikeأَشَدُّis greaterالْبُغْضُdislike,وَفَاعِلٌand the doerكَبُرَwas greatبَعْدَafterأَنْthatحَوَلَtransferredالْفَاعِلِthe doerإِلَىtoتَمْيِيزٍdifferentiation:(أَنْ(thatوَمَاand whatدَخَلَتْenteredعَلَيْهِupon itفِيinقَوْلِهِHis saying:﴿أَنْthatتَقُولُواyou sayمَاwhatلَاnotتَفْعَلُونَyou do﴾
Was great; meaning: great. Dislike: differentiation transferred from the doer, and the dislike is greater than dislike, and the doer was great after that was transferred to differentiation: 'that' and what entered upon it in His saying: 'that you say what you do not do.'
(۱)رَوَاهُNarratedالْبُخَارِيُّAl-Bukhari(١٤٧٧),وَمُسْلِمٌand Muslim(۱۷۱٥)؛عَنْfromالْمُغِيرَةِAl-MughiraبْنِbinشُعْبَةَShubaرَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُmay Allah be pleased with him.
(1) Narrated by al-Bukhari (1477), and Muslim (1715); from Al-Mughira bin Shuba, may Allah be pleased with him.
(۲)رَوَاهُNarratedمُسْلِمٌMuslim(٢٦٣٧)عَنْfromأَبِيAbuهُرَيْرَةَHurairaرَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُmay Allah be pleased with him
(2) Narrated by Muslim (2637) from Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him.
