ثَانِيًاSecondlyقَوْلُهُHis sayingوَأَقْسِطُواAnd be justإِنَّIndeedاللَّهَAllahيُحِبُّLovesالْمُقْسِطِينَThe just onesيَقْتَضِيIt necessitatesأَنْThatنَعْدِلَWe be justوَنَحْرِصَAnd striveعَلَىToالْعَدْلِJustice
Secondly: His saying, 'And be just; indeed, Allah loves the just.' necessitates that we be just and strive for justice.
ثَالِثًاThirdlyقَوْلُهُHis sayingإِنَّIndeedاللَّهَAllahيُحِبُّLovesالْمُتَّقِينَThe righteousيَقْتَضِيIt necessitatesأَنْ نَتَّقِيَThat we fearاللَّهَAllahعَزَّ وَجَلَّThe ExaltedلَاNotنَتَّقِيَWe fearالْمَخْلُوقِينَThe created beingsبِحَيْثٍSuch thatإِذَاWhenكَانَThere wasعِندَنَاWith usمِنْSomeone fromنَسْتَحِيWe are shyمِنَFromالنَّاسِPeopleتَرَكْنَاWe abandonالْمَعَاصِيَSinsوَإِذَاAnd ifلَمْThere is notيَكُنْThere isعَصَيْنَاWe disobeyفَالْتَّقْوَىSo pietyأَنْ نَتَّقِيَIs toاللَّهَAllahعَزَّ وَجَلَّThe ExaltedوَلَاAnd notيَهُمُّكَIt concerns youالنَّاسُPeopleأَصْلِحْRectifyمَاWhatبَيْنَكَIs between youوَبَيْنَAndاللَّهِAllahيُصْلِحُWill rectifyاللَّهُAllahمَاWhatبَيْنَكَIs between youوَبَيْنَAndالنَّاسِPeopleانظُرْLookيَاOhأَخِيMy brotherإِلَىToالشَّيْءِThe thingالَّذِيThat whichبَيْنَكَIs between youوَبَيْنَAndرَبِّكَYour LordوَلَاAnd notيَهُمُّكَIt concerns youغَيْرَOther thanذَٰلِكَThatوَإِنَّAnd indeedاللَّهَAllahيُدَافِعُDefendsعَنِAboutالَّذِينَThose whoءَامَنُواHave believedافْعَلْDoمَاWhatيَقْتَضِيThe law requiresالشَّرْعَThe ShariaوَسَتَكُونُAnd you will beلَكَFor youالْعَاقِبَةَThe outcome
Thirdly: His saying, 'Indeed, Allah loves the righteous,' necessitates that we fear Allah Exalted and not fear created beings; such that if there is someone we are shy of among people, we abandon sins, and if there is none, we disobey; piety is that we fear Allah Exalted and not concern ourselves with people. Rectify what is between you and Allah; Allah will rectify what is between you and the people. Look, my brother, to what is between you and your Lord, and do not be concerned about anything else; and indeed, Allah defends those who have believed. Do what the law requires, and you will have the outcome.
رَابِعًاFourthlyيَقُولُSaysاللَّهُAllahتَعَالَىThe ExaltedإِنَّIndeedاللَّهَAllahيُحِبُّLovesالتَّوَّابِينَThe repentant onesوَهَذِهِAnd thisتَسْتَوْجِبُRequiresأَنْThatأَكْثَرَMoreالتَّوْبَةَRepentanceإِلَىToاللَّهِAllahعَزَّ وَجَلَّThe ExaltedأَكْثَرَMoreأَنْThatأَرْجِعَI returnإِلَىToاللَّهِAllahبِقَلْبٍWith my heartوَقَلْبِيMy soulومَجَرَّدَAnd mereقَوْلٍSayingالإِنْسَانِA personأَتُوبُI repentإِلَىToاللَّهِAllahهَذَاThisقَدMayلَاNotيَنفَعُBenefitلَكِنَّButتَسْتَحْضِرُYou should bring to mindوَأَنْتَAnd youتَقُولُSayأَتُوبُI repentإِلَىToاللَّهِAllahأَنْThatمَاThere are betweenيَدَيْكَYour handsمَعَاصٍSinsتَرْجِعُYou turn backإِلَىToاللَّهِAllahمِنْهَاFrom themوَتَتُوبُAnd you repentحَتَّىUntilتَنَالَYou attainبِذَٰلِكَWith thatمَحَبَّةَThe loveاللَّهِAllahوَيُحِبُّAnd lovesالْمُتَطَهِّرِينَThe purified onesإِذَاIfغَسَلْتَYou washedثَوْبَكَYour garmentمِنَFromالنَّجَاسَةِImpurityتَحَسُّYou feelبِأَنَّThatاللَّهَAllahأَحَبَّكَLoves youلَأَنَّBecauseاللَّهَAllahيُحِبُّLovesالْمُتَطَهِّرِينَThe purified onesإِذَاWhenتَوَضَّأْتَYou performed ablutionتَحَسُّYou feelبِأَنَّThatاللَّهَAllahأَحَبَّكَLoves youلَأَنَّBecauseتَطَهَّرْتَYou purified yourselfإِذَاIfاغتَسَلْتَYou batheتَحَسُّYou feelبِأَنَّThatاللَّهَAllahأَحَبَّكَLoves youلَأَنَّBecauseاللَّهَAllahيُحِبُّLovesالْمُتَطَهِّرِينَThe purified ones
Fourthly: Allah says, 'Indeed, Allah loves the repentant.' [Quran: Al-Baqarah: 222], and this necessitates that I increase my repentance to Allah Exalted, more and that I return to Allah with my heart and soul; merely saying 'I repent to Allah' may not be beneficial, but you should bring to mind while saying 'I repent to Allah': there are sins before you that you return to Allah from them and repent, until you attain thereby the love of Allah. 'And loves the purified.' [Quran: Al-Baqar: 222]: If you wash your garment from impurity, you feel that Allah loves you; because Allah loves the purified. If you perform ablution, you feel that Allah loves you; because you have purified yourself. If you bathe, you feel that Allah loves you; because Allah loves the purified ones.
