قَرَارَةٌresolutionنُفُوسِهِمْtheir soulsلَاnotيَسْتَطِيعُونَthey canأَنْtoيُنْكِرُوهُdeny itاللّهُمَّO Allahإِلَّاexceptأَنْthatيَكُونُواthey have beenقَدْperhapsسُلبُواdeprivedالْعُقُولَmindsالْمُدْرِكَةَperceptiveأَدْنَىleastإِدْرَاكٍrecognitionفَإِنَّهُمْfor theyقَدْmayيُنْكِرُونَdenyهَذَاthisمِنْfromبَابِthe doorالْمُكَابَرَةِarrogance
In the depths of their souls, they cannot deny it, unless they have been deprived of the least perceptive minds; for they may deny this out of arrogance.
وَقَدْAndقَسَّمَdividedالْعُلَمَاءُthe scholarsرَحِمَهُمُMay Allah have mercy on themاللَّهُGodالتَّوْحِيدَmonotheismإِلَىintoثَلاَثَةٍthreeأَقْسَامٍcategories
And the scholars, may Allah have mercy on them, divided monotheism into three categories.
أَحَدُهَاOne of themتَوْحِيدٌis monotheismالرُّبُوبِيَّةِof Lordship
One of them is the monotheism of Lordship.
وَهُوَAnd it isإِفْرَادُsingling outاللَّهَGodسُبْحَانَهُExalted be Heوَتَعَالَىand Most Highفِيinأُمُورٍmattersثَلاَثَةٍthreeفِيinالْخَلْقِcreation,,وَالْمُلْكِand sovereignty,,وَالتَّدْبِيرِand management
And it is to single out God, Exalted be He and Most High, in three matters: in creation, sovereignty, and management.
الدَّلَالَةُthe evidenceوَوَجْهٌand the aspectدَلِيلٌevidenceذَلِكَof thatقَوْلُهُis His sayingتَعَالَىExalted be He::﴿أَلَا"Indeedلَهُto Himالْخَلْقُis the creationوَالْأَمْرُand the command"﴾(مالأَعْرَافِAl-A'raf::٥٤54)مِنْfromالْآيَةِthe verse::أَنَّهُthat Heقَدَّمَprecededفِيهَاin itالْخَبَرَthe newsالَّذِيwhichمِنْis due toحَقِّهِits rightالتَّأْخِيرِis to be delayedوَالْقَاعِدَةُand the ruleالْبَلَاغِيَّةُrhetoricalأَنْthatتَقْدِيمَthe presentingمَاwhatحَقَّهُis his rightالتَّأْخِيرُto be delayedيُفِيدُis beneficialالْحَصْرُthe limitation
The evidence for that is His saying, Exalted be He: "Indeed, to Him belongs the creation and the command" (Al-A'raf: 54); from the verse: that He preceded in it the news which is to be delayed, and the rhetorical rule is that presenting what is due to be delayed is beneficial for limitation.
ثُمَّThenتَأَمَّلْreflectاِفْتِتَاحِthe openingهَذِهِof thisالْآيَةِverseبِـwith«أَلَا»"Indeed"الدَّالَّةُindicatingعَلَىonالتَّنْبِيهِalertnessوَالتَّوكِيدِand emphasis: "Indeedلَهُto Himالْخَلْقُ لَهُis the creationوَالأَمْرُand the command"﴾(مالأَعْرَافِAl-A'raf::٥٤54)لَاnotلِغَيْرِهِto another;فَالْخَلْقُfor creationهَذَاthis isهُوَHe,,وَالْأَمْرُand the commandهُوَisالتَّدْبِيرُmanagement.
Then reflect on the opening of this verse with "Indeed," indicating alertness and emphasis: "Indeed, to Him belongs the creation and the command" (Al-A'raf: 54); not to another; for creation this is, and the command is management.
أَمَّاAs forالْمُلْكِsovereignty;فَدَلِيلُهُits evidenceمِثْلُis likeقَوْلُهُHis sayingتَعَالَىExalted be He:::﴿وَلِلَّهِ"And unto Allahمُلْكُis the sovereigntyالسَّمَاوَاتِof the heavensوَالْأَرْضِand the earth"[[الْجَاثِيَةِAl-Jathiya::۲۷27]فَإِنَّfor thisهَذَاthisيَدُلُّindicatesعَلَىonانْفِرَادِهِHis uniquenessسُبْحَانَهُExalted be Heبِالْمُلْكِin sovereignty,,,وَوَجْهُand the reasonالدَّلَالَةُindicationمِنْfromهَذِهِthisالْآيَةِverseكَمَاasسَبَقَas mentioned beforeتَقْدِيمُthe presentationمَاwhatحَقُّهُis his rightالتَّأْخِيرُis to be delayed.
As for sovereignty, its evidence is like His saying, Exalted be He: "And unto Allah is the sovereignty of the heavens and the earth" (Al-Jathiya: 27); for this indicates His uniqueness, Exalted be He, in sovereignty, and the reason for the indication from this verse, as previously mentioned, is the presentation of what is due to be delayed.
إِذًاIf so,فالْرَّبُّthen the Lordعَزَّthe Mightyوَجَلَّand Majesticمُنْفَرِدٌis uniqueبِالْخَلْقِin creation,,وَالْمُلْكِand sovereignty,,وَالْتَّدْبِيرِand management.
If so, then the Lord, the Mighty and Majestic, is unique in creation, sovereignty, and management.
فَإِنْIf you say:قُلْتَyou said::كَيْفَHowتَجْمَعُdo you reconcileبَيْنَbetweenمَاwhatقَرَّرْتَyou establishedوَبَيْنَand betweenإِثْبَاتِthe affirmingالْخَلْقِthe creationلِغَيْرِfor others?;;مِثْلَLikeقَوْلُهُHis statementتَعَالَىExalted be He:::فَتَبَارَكَ"Blessed beاللَّهُis Allahأَحْسَنُthe Bestالْخَالِقِينَof creators"
If you say: How do you reconcile between what you established and between affirming creation for others? Like His statement, Exalted be He: "Blessed be Allah, the Best of creators."
