Some cannot be done except by the meeting of these parts?!
فَإِنْSo ifأَرَدْتُمْyou wantهَذَا؛this;فَنَحْنُweلَا نُقِرُّهُdo not affirm itوَنَقُولُ:and say:إِنَّthatاللَّهَAllahلَيْسَis notبِجَسَدٍa bodyبِهَذَاby thisالمَعْنَى،meaning,وَمَنْand whoeverقَالَsaidإِنَّthatإِثْبَاتَthe proofعُلُوِّهِHis exaltationيَسْتَلْزِمُentailsهَذَاthisالجَسَدَ؛body;فَقَوْلُهُthen his statementمُجَرَّدٌis merelyدَعْوًى،a claim,وَيَكْفِينَاand it suffices usأَنْ نَقُولَ:to say:لَاnoقَبُولٌ!acceptance!
So if you want this; we do not affirm it and say: that Allah is not a body in this meaning, and whoever said that proving His exaltation entails this body; then his statement is merely a claim, and it suffices us to say: no acceptance!
أَمَّاAs forإِنْifأَرَدْتُمْyou meanبِالجَسَدِby bodyالذَاتِthe essenceالْقَائِمَةِstandingبِنَفْسِهَاby itselfالْمُتَّصِفَةِdescribedبِمَاwith whatيَلِيقُbefitsبِهَا؛to it;فَإِنَّنَاthen weنُثَبِّتُaffirmذَلِكَ،that,وَنَقُولُ:and say:إِنَّthatلِلَّهِfor Allahتَعَالَىthe Exaltedذَاتًا،is an essence,قَائِمٌstandingبِنَفْسِهِ،by itself,مُتَّصِفٌdescribedبِصِفَاتِwith attributesالْكَمَالِ،that are perfect,وَهَذَاand thisهُوَisالَّذِيthatيُعْلَمُis knownبِهِby itكُلُّeveryإِنْسَانٍ.human.
As for if you mean by body the essence that stands by itself described with what befits it; then we affirm that, and say: that Allah the Exalted is an essence, standing by itself, described with attributes of perfection, and this is known by every human.
وَبِهَذَاAnd with thisيَتَبَيَّنُit becomes clearبُطْلَانُthe invalidityقَوْلِthe statementهَؤُلَاءِof theseالَّذِينَwhoأَثْبَتُواaffirmedأَنْthatاللَّهَAllahبِذَاتِهِby His essenceفِيinكُلِّeveryمَكَانٍ،place,أوorأَنْthatاللَّهَAllahتَعَالَىthe Exaltedلَيْسَis notفَوْقَaboveالْعَالَمِthe universeوَلَاnorتَحْتَbelowهَذَاthemوَلَاnorمُتَّصِلٌconnected toوَلَاnorمُنْفَصِلٌ،separate,وَنَقُولُ:and we say:هُوَHe isعَلَىuponعَرْشِهِHis throneاسْتَوَىestablishedعَزٌّand mightوَجَلٌّ.the Almighty.
And with this, it becomes clear the invalidity of the statement of those who affirmed that Allah by His essence is in every place, or that Allah the Exalted is neither above the universe, nor below it, nor connected, nor separate, and we say: He is upon His throne established the Almighty.

As for the proofs of exaltation that prove the opposite statement of these and those, and that establish what the people of Sunnah and congregation said; they are many proofs that cannot be counted, and as for their types; they are five: the Book, the Sunnah, consensus, reason, and instinct.

As for the Book; its proofs vary on the exaltation of Allah the Almighty, from them is the statement of exaltation and superiority and the ascension of things to Him and their descent from Him and what resembles that.

As for the Sunnah; so also its proofs varied, and the Sunnah agreed with its three types on the exaltation of Allah by Himself; it has been established the exaltation of Allah by His essence in the Sunnah from the statement of the Prophet, peace be upon him, and his actions and approvals.
