As for the first; we say to those who alleged that God is by Himself in every place.

--أَمَّاAs forٱلسَّمْعُthe hearing؛;فَإِنَّfor certainlyٱللَّٰهُGodتَعَالَىٰExaltedأَثْبَتَhas affirmedلِنَفْسِهِfor Himselfأَنَّهُthat Heٱلْعَلِيُّthe Most High,,وَٱلْآيَةُand the verseٱلَّتِيwhichٱسْتَدَلَلْتُمْyou have used as evidenceبِهَاwith itلَاnotتَدُلُّindicateعَلَىonذَٰلِكَthat؛;لَأَنَّbecauseٱلْمَعِيَةُthe companionshipلَاdoes notتَسْتَلْزِمُentailٱلْحُلُولَthe indwellingفِيinٱلْمَكَانِthe place,,أَلَاDo you notتَرَىseeإِلَىtoقَوْلِsayingٱلْعَرَبِof the Arabsٱلْقَمَرَthe moonمَعَنَاwith us؛;وَمَحَلُّهُand its placeفِيinٱلسَّمَاءِthe sky
As for hearing; indeed, God has affirmed for Himself that He is the Most High, and the verse you have used as evidence does not indicate that; because companionship does not necessarily entail indwelling in a place, do you not see the saying of the Arabs that 'the moon is with us' while its place is in the sky?
وَيَقُولُAnd he saysٱلرَّجُلُthe manزَوْجَتِيmy wifeمَعِيwith me؛;وَهُوَand he isفِيinٱلْمَشْرِقِthe eastوَهِيَand she isفِيinٱلْمَغْرِبِthe west؟?
And the man says: 'My wife is with me;' and he is in the east while she is in the west?
وَيَقُولُAnd he saysٱلضَّابِطُthe officerلِلْجُنُودِto the soldiers::اِذْهَبُواGoإِلَىtoٱلْمَعْرَكَةِthe battleوَأَنَاand I amمَعَكُمْwith you؛;وَهُوَand he isفِيinغُرْفَةِthe roomٱلْقِيَادَةِthe commandوَهُمْand they areفِيinسَاحَةِthe fieldٱلْقِتَالِthe fighting
And the officer says to the soldiers: 'Go to the battle and I am with you;' while he is in the command room and they are in the fighting field?
فَلَاSo it does notيَلْزَمُfollowمِنَfromٱلْمَعِيَةِthe companionshipأَنْthatيَكُونَbeٱلصَّاحِبُthe companionفِيinمَكَانِplaceٱلْمُصَاحِبِthe one accompaniedأَبَدًاever،,وَٱلْمَعِيَةُand the companionshipيَتَحَدَّدُis definedمَعْنَاهَاits meaningبِحَسَبِaccording toمَاwhatتُضَافُis addedإِلَيْهِto it
So, it does not follow from companionship that the companion is ever in the place of the one accompanied, and the meaning of companionship is defined according to what is added to it.
فَنَقُولُSo we sayأَحْيَانًاsometimesهَذَاthisلَبَنٌmilkمَعَهُwith itمَاءٌwater،,وَهَذِهِand thisٱلْمَعِيَةُthe companionshipاِقْتَضَتْentailsٱلْاِخْتِلَاطُthe mixing..وَيَقُولُAnd he saysٱلرَّجُلُthe man::مَتَاعِيmy belongingsمَعِيwith me؛;وَهُوَand he isفِيinبَيْتِهِhis houseغَيْرَnotمُتَّصِلٍconnectedبِهِto itوَيَقُولُAnd he saysإِذَاifحَمَلَhe carriesمَتَاعَهُhis belongingsمَعَهُwith him::مَتَاعِيmy belongingsمَعِيwith me؛;وَهُوَand he isمُتَّصِلٌconnectedبِهِto itفَهَذِهِthisكَلِمَةٌwordواحِدَةٌoneلَكِنَّbutيَخْتَلِفُdiffersمَعْنَاهَاits meaningبِحَسَبِaccording toٱلْإِضَافَةِthe addition؛;فَبِهَذَاThusنَقُولُwe sayمَعِيَةُcompanionshipٱللَّٰهُGodعَزَّ وَجَلَّThe Mighty and Exaltedلِخَلْقِهِto His creationتَلِيقٌsuitableبِجَلاَلِهِwith His majestyسُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰGlory be to Him, the Exalted؛;كَسَائِرِlike otherصِفَاتِهِHis attributes::فَهِيَthey areمَعِيَةٌcompanionshipتَامَّةٌcompleteحَقِيقِيَّةٌreal,,لَكِنَّهُbut Heفِيinٱلسَّمَاءِthe sky
So we say: sometimes this is milk with water, and this companionship entails mixing. And the man says: 'My belongings are with me;' and he is in his house, not connected to it, and he says: 'If he carries his belongings with him: my belongings are with me;' and he is connected to it, this is one word but it differs in meaning according to the addition; thus we say: the companionship of God, Almighty and Exalted, to His creation is suitable with His majesty, Glory be to Him, just like other attributes; they are a complete and real companionship, but He is in the sky.
وَأَمَّاAnd as forٱلدَّلِيلُthe proofٱلْعَقْلِيُّthe rationalعَلَىonبُطْلانِthe invalidityقَوْلِهِمof their statement؛;فَنَقُولُso we sayإِنْifقُلْتَyou say::إِنَّthatٱللَّٰهُGodمَعَكَwith youفِيinكُلِّeveryمَكَانٍplace؛;فَهَذَاthis followsيَلْزَمُthat must followعَلَيْهِon himلَوَازِمٌconsequencesبَاطِلَةٌthat are invalid؛;فَيَلْزَمُand thus it necessitatesعَلَيْهِon himأَوَّلًاfirst::إِمَّاeitherٱلتَّعَدُّدُthe multiplicityأَوْorٱلتَّجَزُّؤُthe division،,وَهَذَاand thisلَازِمٌis a consequenceبَاطِلٌthat is invalidبِلاwithoutشَكٍّdoubt
And as for the rational proof of the invalidity of their statement; so we say: if you say: 'Indeed, God is with you in every place;' this follows that there must be consequences that are invalid; therefore, it necessitates either multiplicity or division, and this is a consequence that is invalid without a doubt.
