قَدَمِيfootاللَّهِGodعَزَّMightyوَجَلَّand Exalted

The foot of God, the Mighty and Exalted.

لَيْسَis notهُوَHeالْعَرْشَthe Throneبَلْbutالْعَرْشَthe Throneأَكْبَرُis greaterمِنْthanالْكُرْسِيِّthe Chair

He is not the Throne; rather, the Throne is greater than the Chair.

وَقَدْAnd it hasوُرِدَbeen narratedعَنْaboutالنَّبِيِّthe Prophetعَلَيْهِmay peace be upon himالصَّلَاةَthe prayersوَالسَّلاَمَand peace::«"أَنْthatالسَّمَاوَاتِthe heavensالسَّبْعِthe sevenوَالأَرْضِينَand the earthsالسَّبْعِthe sevenبِالنِّسْبَةِin relationلِلْكُرْسِيِّto the Chairكَحَلْقَةٍlike a ringأُلْقِيَتْthrownفِيinفَلاَةٍa desertمِنْofالْأَرْضِthe earth،,وَأَنَّand thatفَضْلَthe virtueالْعَرْشِthe Throneعَلَىoverالْكُرْسِيِّthe Chairكَفَضْلِis like the virtueالْفَلاَةِof the desertعَلَىoverهَذِهِthisالْحَلَقَةِring»"

It has been narrated from the Prophet, may peace be upon him: "The seven heavens and the seven earths in relation to the Chair are like a ring thrown in a desert of the earth, and the virtue of the Throne over the Chair is like the virtue of the desert over this ring."

هَذَاThisيَدُلُّindicatesعَلَىonعَظَمَةَgreatnessهَذِهِtheseالْمَخْلُوقَاتِcreaturesوَعَظَمَةَand the greatnessالْمَخْلُوقِof the creationيَدُلُّindicatesعَلَىonعَظَمَةِthe greatnessالْخَالِقِof the Creator

This indicates the greatness of these creatures, and the greatness of the creation indicates the greatness of the Creator.

قَوْلُهُHis statement﴿﴿وَلَاAnd does notيَئُودُهُhe burden

His statement: "And does not burden Him"; means: it does not weigh Him down and strain Him to preserve the heavens and the earth.

وَهَذِهِAnd theseمِنْofالصِّفَاتِthe attributesالْمُنَفِيَّةِthat are negated،,وَالصِّفَةُand the attributeالثُّبُوتِيَّةُthat is affirmedالَّتِيthatيَدُلُّindicatesعَلَيْهَاupon itهَذَاthisالنَّفْيُnegationهِيَisكَمَالُperfectionالْقُدْرَةِof powerوَالْعِلْمِand knowledgeوَالْقُوَّةِand strengthوَالْرَّحْمَةِand mercy

And these are among the negated attributes, and the affirmed attribute that is indicated by this negation is the perfection of power, knowledge, strength, and mercy.

وَقَوْلُهُAnd His saying﴿﴿وَهُوَAnd He isالْعَلِيُّthe Most Highالْعَظِيمُthe Most Great()﴿﴿الْعَلِيُّthe Most Highعَلَىoverوَزْنٌweightفَعِيلٌ(is a pattern)

And His saying: "And He is the Most High, the Most Great"; the Most High is in the form of the weight of 'Fa'īl.'

رَوَاهُNarratedعَبْدِAbdاللَّهِAllahبِنْbinالإِمَامِthe ImamأَحْمَدَAhmadفِيinكِتَابِthe bookالسُّنَّةِof tradition

Narrated by Abd Allah bin Imam Ahmad in the book of tradition.

،,وَابْنُand IbnأَبِيAbiشَيْبَةٍShebaفِيinكِتَابِthe bookالْعَرْشِthe Throne

And Ibn Abi Sheba in the book of the Throne.

،,وَابْنُand IbnخُزَيْمَةَKhuzaimaفِيin""التَّوحِيدِthe Oneness""،,وَالْحَاكِمُand Al-Hakimفِيin""المُسْتَدْرَكِthe Mustadrak()

And Ibn Khuzaima in 'Oneness', and Al-Hakim in 'Mustadrak'.

(٢٨٢/٢)وَقَالَAnd he said::صَحِيحٌauthenticعَلَىonشَرْطِthe conditionالشَّيْخَيْنِof the two shaykhs

And he said: "It is authentic on the condition of the two shaykhs."

وَلَمْAnd did notيُخْرِجَاهُproduce it،,وَوَافَقَهُand he agreed with himالذَّهَبِيُّAl-Dhahabi

And they did not produce it, and Al-Dhahabi agreed with him.

وَرَوَىAnd narratedالْدَّارَقُطْنِيُّAl-Daraqutniفِيinكِتَابِthe bookالصِّفَاتِthe attributes(٣٦)

And narrated by Al-Daraqutni in the book of attributes.

عَنْfromابْنِIbnعَبَّاسَAbbasمَوْقُوفًاstoppingعَلَيْهِon him،,وَعَزَاهُand attributed itالْهَيْثَمِيُّAl-Haythamiفِيinمَجْمَعِthe collectionالزُّوَائِدِof excess(٣٢٣/٦)(323/6)

And attributed it to Al-Haythami in the collection of excess (323/6) from Ibn Abbas stopping on him.

وَقَالَAnd said::رِجَالُهُits menرِجَالُare menالصَّحِيحِof the authentic،,وَقَالَand he saidالْأَلْبَانِيُّAl-Albaniفِيinمُخْتَصَرِsummaryالْعُلُوِّthe elevation

And said: "Its narrators are authentic;" and Al-Albani in the summary of elevation.

(٤٥)إِسْنَادُهُits chain of narratorsصَحِيحٌis authentic؛;رِجَالُهُits menكُلُّهُمْall of themثِقَاتٌtrustworthy

Its chain of narrators is authentic; all of its men are trustworthy.

(٢)(2)رَوَاهُNarratedابْنُby IbnأَبِيAbiشَيْبَةٍShebaفِيinكِتَابِthe bookالْعَرْشِthe Throneرَقْمٌnumber(٥٨)(58),,وَالْبَيَّهَقِيُّand Al-Bayhaqiفِيin""الْأَسْمَاءِthe namesوَالصِّفَاتِand the attributes(٨٦٢)(862)

Narrated by Ibn Abi Sheba in the book of the Throne, number (58), and Al-Bayhaqi in 'the names and the attributes (862).

مِنْfromحَدِيثِthe hadithأَبِيof AbiذَرِّDharrرَضِيَmay Allah be pleased with himعَنْهُabout him..وَالْحَدِيثُAnd the hadithصَحَّحَهُauthenticatedالْأَلْبَانِيُّAl-Albaniفِيinالسِّلسِلَةِthe seriesالصَّحِيحَةِthe authenticبِرَقَمِwith the number(۱۰۹)(109)وَقَالَand said::إِنَّهُthat itلَاdoes notيُصَحُّbe validحَدِيثٌa hadithمَرْفُوعٌnarrated upعَنْfromالنَّبِيِّthe Prophet, peace be upon himفِيinصِفَةٍthe attributes

And the hadith was authenticated by Al-Albani in the series of authentic ones with the number (109), and he said: "That there is no valid hadith narrated up from the Prophet, peace be upon him, in the attributes except this hadith."
