وَلَاand notيَئُودُهُHe is burdenedحِفْظُهُمَاtheir preservationوَهُوَand He isالْعَلِيُّThe Most HighالْعَظِيمُThe Most Great

And He is not burdened by their preservation, for He is the Most High, the Most Great.

الشرح:Explanation:قولهHis saying::وَمَاAnd whatوَصَفَdescribedبِهِwith itنَفْسَهُHimselfفِيinأَعْظَمthe greatestآيةverseفِيinكِتَابِthe Book ofاللَّه»Allah"

His saying: 'And what He described Himself with in the greatest verse in the Book of Allah':

وهذهAnd thisالآيةverseتسمىis calledآيةverseالكرسي؛the Throne;لأنbecauseفيهاin itذكرmentionالكرسي:of the Throne:﴿وَسِعَAnd His Throneكُرْسِيُّهُis vastالسَّمَوَاتِthe heavensوَالْأَرْضَand the earth)[البقرة : ٢٥٥][Al-Baqarah: 255]

And this verse is called the Throne verse; because it mentions the Throne: 'And His Throne extends over the heavens and the earth' [Al-Baqarah: 255].

وهيAnd it isأعظمthe greatestآيةverseفيinكتابthe Bookاللهof Allah.

And it is the greatest verse in the Book of Allah.

والدليلAnd the proofعلىforذلك:that:أنthatالنبيthe Prophet(peace be upon him)سألaskedأبيAbiبنbinكعب؛K'ab;قال:he said:«أي 'Whichآيةverseفيinكتابthe Bookاللهof Allahأعظم؟»is the greatest?'

And the proof is that the Prophet (peace be upon him) asked Abi bin Ka'b; he said: 'Which verse in the Book of Allah is the greatest?'

فقالHe saidله:to him:هوIt isاللَّهُAllahلَاThere is noإِلَهَGodإِلَّاexceptهُوَHeالْحَيُّthe Livingالقيوم.the Sustainer.

He said to him: 'It is Allah; there is no God except Him, the Living, the Sustainer.'

فضربThen he struckعلىonصدرهhis chest::لِيَهْنِكَCongratulations to youالعلمknowledgeأباO AbuالمنذرAl-Mundhir.

Then he struck his chest and said: 'Congratulations to you, O Abu Al-Mundhir!'

يعنيMeaning::أنthatالنبيthe Prophetأقرهapprovedبأنthatهذهthisأعظمis the greatestآيةverseفيinكتابthe Bookالله،of Allah,وأنand thatهذاthisدليلis evidenceعلىforعلمknowledgeأبيof Abiفيinكتابthe Bookاللهof Allahعز وجل.the Exalted.

Meaning: That the Prophet approved him that this is the greatest verse in the Book of Allah, and that this is evidence of Abi's knowledge in the Book of Allah, the Exalted.

وفيAnd inهذاthisالحديثحديثدليلis evidenceعلىforأنthatالقرآنthe Quranيتفاضل؛differentiates;كماasدل عليهindicatedأيضاًalsoحديثhadithسورةsurahالإخلاص،Al-Ikhlas,وهذاand thisموضعpositionيجبmustفيهin itالتفصيل؛the detail;فإنناFor weنقول:say:أماAs forباعتبارconsideringالمتكلمthe speakerبه؛with it;فإنهheلاdoes notيتفاضل؛differentiates;لأنbecauseالمتكلمthe speakerبهwith itواحد،is one,وهوand He isاللهAllahعز وجل.the Exalted.

And in this hadith, there is evidence that the Quran differentiates; as indicated also in the hadith of Surah Al-Ikhlas, and this is a position that must be detailed;

فإنناFor weنقول:say:أماAs forباعتبارconsideringمدلولاتهits meaningsوandموضوعاته؛its topics;فإنهitيتفاضل؛differentiates;فسورةfor SurahالإخلاصAl-Ikhlasالتيwhichفيهاin itالثناءpraiseعلىofاللهAllahعز وجلthe Exaltedبماfor whatتضمنتهis containedمنofالأسماءthe namesوالصفاتand attributes;ليستis notكسورةlike the SurahالمسدAl-Masadالتيthatفيهاin itبیانstatementحالthe caseأبيof AbiلهبLahab;منfromحيثwhereالموضوعthe subjectكذلكalsoيتفاضلdifferentiates;منfromحيثwhereالتأثيرthe influence;والقوةand strengthفيinالأسلوب؛the style;فإنforمنofالآياتthe versesماwhatتجدهاyou find themآيةA verseقصيرةshort(۱)(1)رواهNarratedمسلمby Muslim(۸۱۰)(810)عنfromأبيAbiبنbinكعبK'ab.

As for considering its meanings and topics; it differentiates; for Surah Al-Ikhlas which contains the praise of Allah, the Exalted, for what it includes of names and attributes is not like the Surah Al-Masad, which contains the statement of the case of Abi Lahab; similarly, it differentiates from where the influence and strength in the style; for among the verses, one may find a verse that is short.
