إنَّIndeedنَظَرْنَاwe lookedإِلَىtoعُمُومِthe generalityاللَّفْظِof the term؛;قُلْنَاwe said::يَشْمَلُincludesالأَخْبَارَthe newsوَandالأَحْكَامَthe rulings
Indeed, if we look at the generality of the term, we said it includes the news and the rulings.
وَإِنْAnd ifنَظَرْنَاwe lookedإِلَىtoالسِّياقِthe context؛;قُلْنَاwe said::الْقَرِينَةَthe evidenceتَقْضِيnecessitatesأَنْthatالْكَلَامَthe speechفِيinبَابِthe realmالْعَقَائِدِof beliefs
And if we look at the context, we said that the evidence necessitates that the speech is in the realm of beliefs.
،,وَهِيَAnd they areمِنَofبَابِthe realmالأَخْبَارِof news
And they are from the realm of news.
وَلَكِنَّHoweverنَقُولُwe say::إِنَّIfكَانَwasكَلَامٌthe wordsشَيْخِof Sheikhالإِسْلَامِof Islamرَحِمَهُmay Allah have mercy on himخَاصًّاspecificبِالْعَقَائِدِ؛to beliefs;
However, we say: If the words of Sheikh Islam, may Allah have mercy on him, were specific to beliefs;
فَهُوَit isخَاصٌّspecific،,وَلَيْسَand is notلَنَاfor usفِيهِin itكَلَامٌ.any discussion.
it is specific, and there is no discussion for us in it.
وَإِنْAnd ifكَانَit wasعَامًّا؛general;فَهُوَthen it includesيَشْمَلُit includesالأَحْكَامَthe rulings.
And if it is general; then it includes the rulings.
وَالأَحْكَامُAnd the rulingsالَّتِيthatلِلرُّسُلِfor the messengersالسَّابِقِينَof the pastاخْتَلَفَdifferedفِيْهَاin themالعُلَمَاءُ:the scholars:هَلْIsهِيَareأَحْكَامٌrulingsلَنَاfor usإِذَاifلَمْnotيَرِدْis broughtشَرْعُنَاour Shariaبِخِلَافِهَا،contrary to it,أَوْorلَيْسَتْare notأَحْكَامًاrulingsلَنَاfor us
And the rulings that are for the previous messengers, the scholars differed: Is it a ruling for us if our Sharia is not contrary to it, or is it not a ruling for us?
وَالصَّحِيحُAnd the correctأَنَّهَاis that theyأَحْكَامٌrulings،لَنَاfor usوَأَنَّand that
