لَforلَأَسْمَاءِthe namesأَنْthatهُنَاكَthere areأَسْمَاءٌnamesمَنْفِيَّةٌ؛negated;لِأَنَّbecauseالإِسْمَthe nameالمَنْفِيِّthe negatedلَيْسَis notبِاسْمٍa nameلِلَّهِ،for Allah,لَكِنَّbutمُرَادَهُhis intentأَنْthatمَدَلُولَاتٍthe meaningsأَسْمَاءِof namesاللَّهِAllahثُبُوتِيَّةٌaffirmativeوَسَلْبِيَّةٌ.and negative.
There are negated names; because the negated name is not a name for Allah, but his intent is that the meanings of the names of Allah are affirmative and negative.
قَوْلُهُHis sayingفَلَاSo there is notعُدُولٌdeviationلِأَهْلِfor the people ofالسُّنَّةِthe Sunnahوَالْجَمَاعَةِand the congregationعَمَّاfrom whatجَاءَcameالْمُرْسَلُونَ؛the messengers;فَإِنَّهُfor indeed itالصِّرَاطُthe straight path,الْمُسْتَقِيمُ،the upright,صِرَاطَthe path ofالَّذِينَthose whoأَنْعَمَتْhave favoredاللَّهُAllahعَلَيْهِمْupon themمِنَfrom theالنَّبِيِّينَprophets,وَالصِّدِّيقِينَand the truthful,وَالشُّهَدَاءِand the martyrs,وَالصَّالِحِينَ.and the righteous.
So there is no deviation for the people of the Sunnah and congregation from what the messengers brought; for indeed it is the straight path, the path of those whom Allah has favored from the prophets, the truthful, the martyrs, and the righteous.
الشَّرْحُ:Explanation:قَوْلُهُHis sayingفَلَاthere is notعَدُولٌa deviationلِأَهْلِfor the people ofالسُّنَّةِthe Sunnahوَالْجَمَاعَةِand the congregationعَمَّاfrom whatجَاءَتْcameبِهِwith itالرُّسُلُ.the messengers.
Explanation: His saying that there is no deviation for the people of the Sunnah and congregation from what the messengers brought.
الْعَدُولُThe deviationمَعْنَاهُmeansالانصِرَافُthe withdrawalوَالْانْحِرَافِ؛and deviation;فَأَهْلُSo the people ofالسُّنَّةِthe Sunnahوَالْجَمَاعَةِand the congregationلَاcannotيُمْكِنُcanأَنْtoيَعْدِلُواdeviate fromعَمَّاfrom whatجَاءَتْcameبِهِwith itالرُّسُلُ.the messengers.
The deviation means the withdrawal and deviation; thus, the people of the Sunnah and congregation cannot deviate from what the messengers brought.
إِنَّمَاIndeed,جَاءَcameالمُؤَلِّفُthe authorبِهَذَاwith thisالنَّفْيِ؛negation;لِيُبَيِّنَto clarifyأَنَّهُمْthat theyلِكَمَالِfor the completeness ofاتِّبَاعِهِمْtheir followingلَاcannotيُمْكِنُmayأَنْtoيَعْدِلُواdeviate fromعَمَّاfrom whatجَاءَتْhas comeبِهِwith it.
Indeed, the author brought this negation to clarify that they, for the completeness of their following, cannot deviate from what has come with it.
فَهُمْTheyمُسْتَمْسِكُونَare firmly holdingتَمَامًا،fully,وَغَيْرَand notمُنْحَرِفِينَdeviatingإِطْلَاقًاat allعَمَّاfrom whatجَاءَتْcameبِهِwith it,الرُّسُلِ،the messengers,بَلْbutطَرِيقَتُهُمْtheir wayأَنْis that theyيَقُولُونَsay:سَمِعْنَاWe heardوَأَطَعْنَاand we obeyedفِيinالْأَحْكَامِ،the rulings,وَسَمِعْنَاand we heardوَصَدَّقْنَاand we believedفِيinالأَخْبَارِ.the news.
They are firmly holding fully, and not deviating at all from what the messengers came with, but their way is that they say: We heard and obeyed in the rulings, and we heard and believed in the news.
وَقَوْلُهُAnd his saying:عَمَّاfrom whatجَاءَcameبِهwith itالْمُرْسَلُونَthe messengersمَاWhatجَاءَcameبِهwith itمُحَمَّدٌMuhammadعَلَيْهِpeace be upon him,الصَّلَاةُsalatوَالسَّلَامُand peaceوَاضِحٌis clearأَنَّنَاthat weلَاdo notنَعْدِلُdeviateعَنْهُ؛from it;لِأَنَّهُbecause itخَاتَمُis the sealالنَّبِيِّينَ،of the prophets,وَوَاجِبٌand it is obligatoryعَلَىonجَمِيعِallالْعِبَادِthe servantsأَنْtoيَتَّبِعُوهُfollow him.
And his saying: From what the messengers brought, what Muhammad, peace be upon him, came with is clear that we do not deviate from it; because he is the seal of the prophets, and it is obligatory on all the servants to follow him.
لَكِنَّButمَاwhatجَاءَcameعَنْfromغَيْرِهِ؛others;هَلْAreلِأَهْلِfor the people ofالسُّنَّةِthe Sunnahوَالْجَمَاعَةِand the congregationعَدُولٌdeviationعَنْهُ؟from it?
But what came from others; is there a deviation for the people of the Sunnah and congregation from it?
لَاNoعَدُولٌdeviationلَهُمْfor themعَنْهُ؛from it;لِأَنَّbecauseمَاwhatجَاءَcameعَنْfromالرُّسُلِthe messengersعَلَيْهِمْupon themالصَّلَاةُsalutationوَالسَّلَامُand peaceفِيinبَابِthe chapterالأَخْبَارِthe newsلَاdoes notيَخْتَلِفُ؛differ;١٤٨148
No deviation for them from it; because what came from the messengers upon them is in the chapter of the news does not differ; 148
