As for if it is detailed; then you will not find it except for a reason; like His saying ("Allah did not take a son") [Al-Mu'minun: 91]; in response to what was said by those who claimed: 'Allah has a son,' and His saying: ("He has not begotten, nor is He begotten") [Al-Ikhlas: 3]. Likewise, His saying: ("And We created the heavens and the earth and all that is in between in six days, and We were not touched by weariness") [Qaf: 38]; for it may be assumed by the mind that cannot truly estimate Allah that this great heavens and earth would incur exhaustion if it was created in six days; so, He said: ("And We were not touched by fatigue") [Qaf: 38]; meaning: of toil or weariness. This clarifies that negation concerning the attributes of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, occurs only in a general or specific manner for a reason; because negating attributes do not imply perfection unless they include affirmation, for this reason we say: the negative attributes that Allah negated from Himself imply the establishment of the perfection against them; for His saying: ("And We were not touched by fatigue") implies the perfection of strength and ability, and His saying: ("And your Lord does not wrong anyone") [Al-Kahf: 49] implies the perfection of justice, and His saying: ("And Allah is not unaware of what you do") [Al-Baqarah: 85] implies the perfection of knowledge and encompass... and so on; there must be an implied affirmation in the negated attribute, and that affirmation is the perfection of the opposite of that which is negated, otherwise it would not be considered praise. There is no mere negation in the attributes negated from Allah; because mere negation is absence, and absence is nothing; it does not imply praise or commendation, and because it can be a result of incapacity regarding that attribute, it can thus be blameworthy; it could be...
