أَمَّاAs forتَصْدِيقَهُhis verificationبِالْوَاقِعِ؛in reality;فَبِالْتَّمْكِينِ لَهُthrough the empowerment for himوَإِظْهَارِand the showingالْآيَاتِ؛the signs;فَهُوَhe isيَأْتِيcomingلِلْنَّاسِto the peopleيَدْعُوهُمْcalling themإِلَىtoالإِسْلَامِ،Islam,فَإِنْifلَمْnotيَقْبَلُوا،they accept,فَالْجِزْيَةَ،then the jizyah,فَإِنْifلَمْnotيَقْبَلُوا؛they accept;اسْتَبَاحَhe permitsدِمَائَهُمْtheir bloodوَنِسَائَهُمْand their womenوَأَمْوَالَهُمْ،and their wealth,وَاللَّهُand Allahتَعَالَىthe Most Highيُمْكِنُgrants powerلَهُ،to him,وَيَفْتَحُand opensعَلَيْهِfor himالْأَرْضَthe earthأَرْضًاlandبَعْدَafterأَرْضٍ،land,وَحَتَّىand untilبَلَغَتْit reachedرِسَالَتَهُhis messageمَشَارِقَthe Eastالأَرْضِof the earthوَمَغَارِبَهَا؛and its West;فَهَذَاthis isتَصْدِيقٌverificationمِنَfromاللَّهِAllahبِالْوَاقِعِ،in reality,كَذَلِكَlikewiseأَيْضًاalsoمَاwhatيَجْرِيهُhe brings aboutاللَّهُAllahعَلَىuponيَدَيْهِhis handsمِنَofالْآيَاتِthe signsهُوَisتَصْدِيقٌverificationلَهُ،for him,سَوَاءٌwhetherكَانَتِthey wereالْآيَاتُthe signsشَرْعِيَّةًlegislativeأَمْorكَوْنِيَّةً؛cosmological;فَالشَّرْعِيَّةُthe legislativeكَانَتْwasدَائِمًاalwaysيُسْأَلُaskedعَنْaboutالشَّيْءِthe thingوَهُوَand heلَاdoes notيَعْلَمُهُ،know it,فَيَنْزِلُthen he revealsاللَّهُAllahالْجَوَابُ :the answer:﴿وَيَسْتَلُونَكَ(And they ask youعَنِaboutالرُّوحِthe spirit,قُلِsay,الرُّوحُthe spiritمِنْis ofأَمْرِcommandرَبِّيmy Lord;وَمَاand whatأُوتِيْتُمْyou were givenمِنْofالْعِلْمِknowledgeإِلَّاexceptقَلِيلًا».a little."لَمَّاWhenرَوَاهُreportedالْبُخَارِيُّAl-Bukhariعَنْaboutعَبْدِ اللّٰهِAbdullahبْنِbinمَسْعُودٍMas'udرَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُ،may Allah be pleased with him,قَالَ:he said:«بَيْنَمَا"WhileأَنَاI wasمَعَwithالنَّبِيِّthe Prophetﷺ(peace be upon him)فِيinحَرَثٍa fieldوَهُوَand heمُتَّكِئٌleaningعَلَىonعَصِيبٍa palm branchإذwhen
As for his verification in reality; it is through the empowerment for him and the showing of the signs; he is coming to the people calling them to Islam, if they do not accept, then the jizyah, if they do not accept; he permits their blood and their women and their wealth, and Allah the Most High grants power to him, and opens for him land after land, until his message reached the East and West of the earth; this is verification from Allah in reality, likewise what Allah brings about through his hands of signs is verification for him, whether the signs were legislative or cosmological; the legislative was always asked about the thing and he does not know it, then Allah reveals the answer: (And they ask you about the spirit, say the spirit is of the command of my Lord; and what you were given of knowledge is except a little). When it was narrated by Al-Bukhari about Abdullah bin Mas'ud may Allah be pleased with him, he said: "While I was with the Prophet (peace be upon him) in a field and he was leaning on a palm branch, some Jews passed by, and some said to one another: ask him about the spirit, he said: what caused you to lean towards him - and some said do not let him greet you with something you hate. They said ask him, so they asked him about the spirit, so the Prophet (peace be upon him) remained silent and did not respond to them, so I knew that he was being revealed to, so I stood up, and when the revelation came down, he said: (And they ask you about the spirit say the spirit is of the command of my Lord; and what you were given of knowledge is except a little).
هَذَاthisتَصْدِيقٌverificationمِنَfromاللَّهِAllahعَزَّ وَجَلَّ.the Almighty.
This is verification from Allah the Almighty.
وَالْآيَاتُAnd the signsالْكَوْنِيَّةُthe cosmologicalظَاهِرَةٌare very evident,جِدًّا،indeed,وَمَاand whatأَكْثَرُis moreالْآيَاتُthe signsالْكَوْنِيَّةُthe cosmologicalالَّتِيthatأَيَّدَAllah supportedاللَّهُAllahبِهَاthem;رَسُولَهُ؛his messenger;سَوَاءٌwhetherجَاءَتْit cameلِسَبَبٍfor a reasonأوorغَيْرِnotسَبَبٍ،a reason,وَهَذَاand thisمَعْرُوفٌis knownفِيinالسِّيرَةِ.the biography.
And the cosmological signs are very evident, indeed, what is more, the signs are the cosmological ones that Allah supported His Messenger; whether they came for a reason or without a reason, and this is known in the biography.
لَمَّاWhenرَوَاهُreportedالْبُخَارِيُّAl-Bukhariعَنْaboutعَبْدِ اللّٰهِAbdullahبْنِbinمَسْعُودٍMas'udرَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُ،may Allah be pleased with him,قَالَ:he said:«بَيْنَمَا"WhileأَنَاI wasمَعَwithالنَّبِيِّthe Prophetﷺ(peace be upon him)فِيinحَرَثٍa fieldوَهُوَand heمُتَّكِئٌleaningعَلَىonعَصِيبٍa palm branchإذwhen
When it was narrated by Al-Bukhari about Abdullah bin Mas'ud may Allah be pleased with him, he said: "While I was with the Prophet (peace be upon him) in a field and he was leaning on a palm branch,
إذwhenمَرَّsome passed by,الْيَهُودُthe Jewsفَقَالَand saidبَعْضُهُمْsome of themلِبَعْضٍto one another:سَلُوهُask himعَنْaboutالرُّوحِ،the spirit,فَقَالَ:he said:مَاwhatرَابَكُمْcaused you to lean towards him -إِلَيْهِ -to him -وَقَالَand saidبَعْضُهُمْsome of themلَاdo notيَسْتَقْبِلُكُمreceive youبِشَيْءٍwith anythingتَكْرَهُونَهُ. you hate.
When some Jews passed by, and said to one another: ask him about the spirit, he said: what caused you to lean towards him - and said some of them do not let him greet you with something you hate.
فَقَالُواThey saidسَلُوهُ،ask him,فَسَأَلُوهُso they asked himعَنْaboutالرُّوحِ،the spirit,فَأَمْسَكَso he held backالنَّبِيُّthe Prophetﷺ(peace be upon him)فَلَمْand did notيَرُدَّrespond to them
They said, ask him, so they asked him about the spirit, so he held back the Prophet (peace be upon him) and did not respond to them.
فَعَلِمْتُSo I knewأَنَّهُthat heيُوحَىwas being revealed to,إِلَيْهِ،to him,فَقُمْتُ،so I stood up,مَقَامِي،my place,فَلَمَّاand whenنَزَلَthe revelation came down,الْوَحْيُthe revelationقَالَ:he said:(وَيَسْأَلُونَكَ(And they ask youعَنْaboutالرُّوحِthe spirit,قُلْsay,الرُّوحُthe spiritمِنْis ofأَمْرِthe commandرَبِّي؛of my Lord;وَمَاand whatأُوتِيتُمْyou were givenمِنْofالْعِلْمِthe knowledgeإِلَّاexceptقَلِيلًا».a little."
So I knew that he was being revealed to, so I stood up, my place, and when the revelation came down, he said: (And they ask you about the spirit, say, the spirit is of the command of my Lord; and what you were given of knowledge is except a little).
