The method of Sheikh Al-Saadi is that he often adopts the opinions of Sheikh Islam Ibn Taimiyya and his student Ibn Al-Qayyim, and he prefers them over the Hanbali school. So he did not have rigidity towards a certain madhhab, rather he was impartial to the truth, and this characteristic was imprinted in him and transferred to his student Muhammad Al-Salih Al-Othaymeen.
