وَإِذَاAnd ifلَمْnotيَحْدُثْhappenلَكَto youهَذَاthisالإِيمَانُfaithهَذَاthisالشَّيْءُ؛thing;فَاعْلَمْthen knowأَنَّthatإِيمَانَكَyour faithبِأَنَّthatاللَّهَAllahسَمِيعٌis All-Hearing
And if this faith does not happen to you, then know that your faith that Allah is All-Hearing is undoubtedly incomplete.
إِذَاIfآمَنْتَyou believeبِأَنَّthatاللَّهَAllahسَمِيعٌ؛is All-Hearing;فَلَنْthen you will notتَتَكَلَّمَspeakإِلَّاexceptبِمَاwith whatيُرْضِيهِ،pleases Him,وَلَاand notسِيَمَاespeciallyإِذَاifكُنتَyou areتَتَكَلَّمُspeakingمُعَبِّرًاexpressingعَنْaboutشَرْعِهِHis legislationوَهُوَand He isالْمُفْتِيthe Mufti;وَالْمُعَلِّمُ؛and the teacher;فَإِنَّthenهَذَاthisأَشَدُّ،is more severe,وَاللَّهُand AllahسُبْحَانَهُGlory be to Himيَقُولُ :says:﴿﴿فَمَنْSo whoأَظْلَمُis more unjustمِمَّنِthan he whoافْتَرَىٰfalsely attributedعَلَىtoاللَّهِAllahكَذِبًاa lieلِيُضِلَّto misleadالنَّاسَthe peopleبِغَيْرِwithoutعِلْمٍknowledge?إِنَّIndeed,اللَّهَAllahلَاdoes notيَهْدِيguideالْقَوْمَthe peopleالظَّالِمِينَthe wrongdoers.
If you believe that Allah is All-Hearing, then you will not speak except in a way that pleases Him, especially if you are speaking, expressing His legislation, and He is the Mufti and Teacher; then this is more severe, and Allah, Glory be to Him, says: ﴿ So who is more unjust than he who falsely attributes to Allah a lie to mislead the people without knowledge? Indeed, Allah does not guide the people who are wrongdoers. ﴾
فَإِنَّThenهَذَاthisمِنْis fromأَظْلَمُthe most unjustالظُّلْمِ،of injustice,وَلِهَذَاand for this reason,قَالَ:He said:﴿﴿إِنَّIndeed,اللَّهَAllahلَاdoes notيَهْدِيguideالْقَوْمَthe peopleالظَّالِمِينَthe wrongdoers.
For this is among the greatest injustices, and that is why He said: ﴿ Indeed, Allah does not guide the people who are wrongdoers. ﴾
وَهَذَاAnd thisمِنْis fromعُقُوبَةٌthe punishmentمَنْof one whoيُفْتِيacts as a Mufti;بِلاَwithoutعِلْمٍ؛knowledge;أَنَّهُthat heلَاdoes notيُهْدَى؛is guided;لَأَنَّهُbecause he isظَالِمٌ.a wrongdoer.
And this is the punishment of one who gives fatwas without knowledge; that he is not guided, because he is a wrongdoer.
فَاحْذَرْSo bewareيَاOأَخِيmy brotherالْمُسْلِمِthe Muslimأَنْthatتَقُولَyou sayقَوْلًاa sayingلَاthat does notيُرْضِيpleaseاللَّهَ؛Allah;سَوَاءٌwhetherقُلْتَهُyou said itعَلَىaboutاللَّهِ،Allah,أَوْorعَلَىaboutغَيْرِother thanهَذَاthisالْوَجْهِ.manner.
So beware, O my Muslim brother, of saying something that does not please Allah; whether you said it about Allah or in any other manner.
وَثَمَرَةُAnd the fruitالإِيمَانِof faithبِأَنَّthatاللَّهَAllahبَصِيرٌis All-Seeingأَنْis thatلَاnotتَفْعَلَyou doشَيْئًاanythingيَغْضَبُthat angersاللَّهَ؛Allah;لَأَنَّكَbecause youتَعْلَمُknowأَنَّكَthat youلَوْif youتَنْظُرُlookنَظْرَةًa gazeمَحْرُمَةًforbidden;لَاnotيَفْهَمُunderstandالنَّاسُthe peopleأَنَّهَاthat it isنَظْرَةٌa gazeمَحْرُمَةٌ؛forbidden;فَإِنَّfor indeedاللَّهَAllahتَعَالَىٰthe Most Highيَرَىseesهَذِهِthisالنَّظْرَةَgazeوَيَعْلَمُand knowsمَاwhatفِيinقَلْبِكَ،your heart,يَعْلَمُHe knowsخَائِنَةَthe treachery ofالأَعْيُنِthe eyesوَمَاand whatتُخْفِيis hiddenالصُّدُورُ)the breasts.)
And the fruit of faith that Allah is All-Seeing is that you do not commit anything that angers Allah; because you know that if you were to look at a forbidden gaze, which the people do not understand is forbidden, then Allah the Most High sees this gaze and knows what is in your heart, He knows the treachery of the eyes and what is hidden in the breasts.)
إِذَاIfآمَنْتَyou believeبِهَذَاin thisلَاnotيُمْكِنُcanأَنْthatتَفْعَلَyou doفِعْلًاan actionلَاthat does notيُرْضَاهُplease Himأَبَدًا.ever.
If you believe in this, you cannot ever do an action that does not please Him.
اِسْتَحْيِBe shyمِنَofاللَّهِAllahكَمَاasتَسْتَحْيِيyou are shyمِنَfromأَقْرَبِthe nearestالنَّاسِpeopleإِلَيْكَto youوَأَشَدَّهُمْand the most severe of themتَعْظِيمًاin reverenceمِنْكَ.from you.
Be shy of Allah as you are shy of the nearest people to you and the most severe of them in reverence from you.
إِذَاIfإِذَاthenآمَنَّاwe believeبِأَنَّthatاللَّهَAllahبَصِيرٌ؛is All-Seeing;فَسَوْفَthen we willنَتَحَاشَىavoidكُلَّallفِعْلٍactionيَكُونُthat isسَبَبًاa causeلِغَضَبِof angerاللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّAllah, the Mighty and Majestic;وَإِلَّا؛and otherwise;فَإِنَّthenإِيمَانَنَاour faithبِذَلِكَin thatنَاقِضٌ.is incomplete.
If we believe that Allah is All-Seeing; then we will avoid all actions that cause the anger of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic; and otherwise, our faith in that is incomplete.
