وَAndعَنْaboutمُجَاهِدٍMujahidغَيْرَ‘nonمَسْحُوبٍpulled’(١)(1)
And about Mujahid, "non-pulled’ (1), this agrees with that, because what ends is measured and counted, unlike what has no limit, for it is 'not pulled'.
وَقَدْAnd indeedشَذَّsome deviatedبَعْضُsomeالنَّاسِof the people,,فَقَالَ:saying:غَيْرَ‘notمَمْنُونٍgratefulعَلَيْهِمْon themمِنْofجِنْسِthe kind ofقَوْلِهِ:his saying:{يَمُنُّونَ{They bestowعَلَيْكَupon youأَنْthatأَسْلَمُواthey accepted IslamقُلْSay::لاNoتَمُنُّواdo bestowعَلَيَّupon meإِسْلامَكُمْ،your Islam,بَلْbutاللَّهُAllahيَمُنُّbestowsعَلَيْكُمْupon youأَنْthatهَدَاكُمْHe guided youلِلْإِيمَانِ}to the faith}.(٢)(2)
And indeed, some people deviated, saying: 'not grateful to them of the kind of His saying: {They bestow upon you that they accepted Islam. Say: No do bestow upon me your Islam; but Allah bestows upon you that He guided you to the faith.} (2)
وَهَذَاAnd thisالْقَوْلُsayingمَعَdespiteمُخَالَفَتِهِtheir contradictionلِأَقْوَالِto the sayings ofالسَّلَفِthe salafوَandالْجُمْهُورِthe majorityهُوَisخَطَأٌa mistakeلِوُجُوهٍ:for reasons:
And this saying, despite its contradiction to the sayings of the salaf and the majority, is a mistake for reasons:
أَحَدُهَا:One of them is:أَنَّthatاللَّهَAllahيَمُنُّbestowsعَلَيْنَاupon usبِكُلِّwith everyنِعْمَةٍblessingأَنْعَمَHe has blessedبِهَاupon us,حَتَّىevenبِالْإِيمَانِwith faithوَالْعَمَلِand good deeds.الصَّالِحِقَالَHe said:تَعَالَى:The Most High says:{يَمُنُّونَ{They bestowعَلَيْكَupon youأَنْthatأَسْلَمُواthey accepted Islam..قُلْSay::لاNoتَمُنُّواdo bestowعَلَيَّupon meإِسْلامَكُمْ،your Islam,بَلِbutاللَّهُAllahيَمُنُّbestowsعَلَيْكُمْupon youأَنْthatهَدَاكُمْHe guided youلِلْإِيمَانِto the faith if you are truthful}.(٣)(3)
One of them is: that Allah bestows upon us with every blessing He has blessed upon us, even with faith and good deeds. He said: The Most High says: {They bestow upon you that they accepted Islam. Say: No do bestow upon me your Islam; but Allah bestows upon you that He guided you to the faith if you are truthful.} (3)
وَقَالَAnd He said:تَعَالَى:The Most High says:{لَقَدْ{Indeed,مَنَّHe bestowedاللَّهُAllahعَلَىuponالْمُؤْمِنِينَthe believersإِذْwhenبَعَثَHe sentفِيهِمْin themرَسُولًاa messengerمِنْfromأَنفُسِهِمْthemselves}.(٤)(4)
And He said: The Most High says: {Indeed, Allah bestowed upon the believers when He sent in them a messenger from themselves} (4) .
وَقَالَAnd He said:أَهْلُThe people ofالْجَنَّةِParadiseمَاwhatأَخْبَرَHe informedاللَّهُAllahتَعَالَىThe Most Highبِهِof itفِيinقَوْلِهِ:His saying:{وَأَقْبَلَ{And they shall approachبَعْضُهُمْsome of themعَلَىuponبَعْضٍone anotherيَتَسَاءَلُونَasking each other.قَالُواThey said,إِنَّاIndeed weكُنَّاwereقَبْلُbeforeفِيinأَهْلِنَاour familiesمُشْفِقِينَfearful.فَمَنَّThen He bestowedاللَّهُAllahعَلَيْنَاupon usوَوَقَانَاand He protected us fromعَذَابَthe punishmentالسَّمُومِof the scorching wind}.(٥)(5)
And He said: The people of Paradise what Allah informed in His saying: {And they shall approach some of them upon one another asking each other. They said, indeed we were before in our families fearful. Then Allah bestowed upon us and protected us from the punishment of the scorching wind} (5) .
وَهَذَاAnd thisقَوْلُهُمْtheir saying:{الْحَمْدُ{All praiseلِلَّهِis for AllahالَّذِيWhoهَدَانَاhas guided usلِهَذَاto thisوَمَاand whatكُنَّاwe wereلِنَهْتَدِيَto be guidedلَوْلاwere it not forأَنْthatهَدَانَاHe guided us Allah.اللَّهُ}}Allah.}(٦)(6)
And this is their saying: {All praise is for Allah Who has guided us to this and what we were to be guided were it not for that Allah guided us.} (6)
وَقَوْلُهُAnd His saying:{وَلَوْلا{And if not forنِعْمَةُthe favor ofرَبِّيmy Lordلَكُنْتُsurely I would beمِنَofالْمُحْضَرِينَthe presented}.(٧)(7)
And His saying: {And if not for the favor of my Lord, surely I would be of the presented} (7), and it was established in the authentic texts.
