وَAndقَالَHe saidتَعَالَىthe Exalted::{وَالَّذِينَAnd those whoكَفَرُواdisbelievedلَهُمْfor themنَارُis the Fireجَهَنَّمَof Hellلاnotيُقْضَىwill be judgedعَلَيْهِمْupon themفَيَمُوتُواand they dieوَلاand noيُخَفَّفُwill be lessenedعَنْهُمْfrom themمِنْofعَذَابِهَاits punishmentكَهَذَاlike thatنَجْزِيwe recompense(١)كُلَّeveryكَفُورٍdisbelieverوَandهُمْtheyيَصْطَرِخُونَcry outفِيهَاin itرَبَّنَاOur Lordأَخْرِجْنَاbring us outنَعْمَلْwe may doصَالِحاًrighteousغَيْرَother thanالَّذِيwhatكُنَّاwe wereنَعْمَلُdoingأَوَلَمْDid we notنُعَمِّرْكُمْgive you long lifeمَاfor whatيَتَذَكَّرُone remembersفِيهِin itمَنْwhoتَذَكَّرَremembersوَandجَاءَكُمُcame to youالنَّذِيرُthe Warnerفَذُوقُواso tasteفَمَاfor notلِلظَّالِمِينَthe wrongdoersمِنْofنَصِيرٍhelper}}}(٢)وَقَالَAnd He saidتَعَالَىthe Exalted::{وَلَوْAnd ifتَرَىyou seeإِذْwhenوُقِفُواthey are made to standعَلَىuponالنَّارِthe Fireفَقَالُواthey saidيَاOلَيْتَنَاif only we couldنُرَدُّbe sent backوَلاand notنُكَذِّبَdenyبِآيَاتِthe signs ofرَبِّنَاour Lordوَنَكُونَand we would beمِنَamongالْمُؤْمِنِينَthe believersبَلْbutبَدَاbecame evidentلَهُمْto themمَاwhatكَانُواthey used toيُخْفُونَhideمِنْfromقَبْلُbeforeوَلَوْand ifرُدُّواthey were sent backلَعَادُواthey would returnلِمَاto whatنُهُواthey were forbiddenعَنْهُfrom itوَإِنَّهُمْand indeed theyلَكَاذِبُونَare liars.}}}(٣)فَهَذِهِTheseالنُّصُوصُtextsوَأَمْثَالُهَاand their likesفِيinالْقُرْآنِthe Qur'anتُبَيِّنُclarifyأَنَّهُمْthat they areخَالِدُونَeternalفِيinجَهَنَّمَHellلاneitherيَمُوتُونَthey dieوَلاand norيَحْيَوْنَthey live.(٤)،وَأَنَّهُمْand that they(٥)يَسْأَلُونَaskهَذَاthisوَهَذَاand thisفَلَاso notيُجَابُونَthey are answered..وَهَذَاAnd thisيَقْتَضِيnecessitatesخُلْدَهُمْtheir eternityفِيinجَهَنَّمَHell--دَارَthe abode ofالْعَذَابِpunishment--مَادَامَas long asذَلِكَthatالْعَذَابُpunishmentبَاقٍis ongoingوَلَاand notيَخْرُجُونَthey go outمِنْهَاfrom itمَعَwithبَقَائِهَاits permanence.وَبَقَاءِand the endurance ofعَذَابِهَاits punishment,كَمَاjust asيَخْرُجُthey are brought outأَهْلُthe people ofالتَّوْحِيدِmonotheism,فَإِنَّfor theyهَـؤُلَاءِtheseيَخْرُجُونَgo outمِنْهَاfrom itبِالشَّفَاعَةِby intercession.,وَغَيْرِand withoutالشَّفَاعَةِintercession.مَعَwithبَقَائِهَاits endurance.,كَمَاjust asيَخْرُجُthey are let outنَاسٌsome peopleمِنَfromالْحَبَسِthe prisonالَّذِيwhichفِيهِin itالْعَذَابَthe punishmentمَعَwithبَقَاءِthe continuation ofالْحَبَسِthe prisonوَالْعَذَابِand the punishmentلِلَّذِيof the one whoفِيهِis in itعَلَىuponمَنْwhomلَمْnotيَخْرُجْgo out..[أحاديث[Hadithsالشَّفَاعَة]of intercession]وَهَكَذَاAnd thusقَالَHe saidالنَّبِيُّthe Prophetصَلَّىpeace be upon himاللَّهُAllahعَلَيْهِupon himوَسَلَّمَand granted him peaceفِيinالْحَدِيثِthe hadithالصَّحِيحِthe authentic"صحيح"Sahihمسلم"Muslim"(٦)عَنْFromأَبِيAbuسَعِيدٍSaeedعَنْfromالنَّبِيِّthe Prophetصَلَّىpeace be upon himاللَّهُAllahعَلَيْهِupon himوَسَلَّمَand granted him peaceقَالَhe said::"أَمَّا"As forأَهْلُthe people ofالنَّارِthe Fireالَّذِينَthose whoهُمْtheyأَهْلُهَاare its peopleفَإنَّهُمْthen theyلاnotيَمُوتُونَdieفِيهَاin itوَلاand norيَحْيَوْنَthey live.وَلَكِنَّButنَاسٌsome peopleأَصَابَتْهُمُwere afflicted byالنَّارَthe Fireبِذُنُوبِهِمْbecause of their sins,فَأَمَاتَهُمُso Allah killed them.(١)فِيInالأصْلِthe originalهَكَذَاthus"يجزي""recompense"وَمَاand whatأَثْبَتَهُis confirmedهُوَit isقِرَاءَةُreading ofحَفْصٍHafs,كَمَاasفِيinرَسْمِthe writing ofالْمُصْحَفِ.the mushaf.(٢)(2)سُورةSurahفَاطِرٍAl-Fatir,الآيَتَانِthe two verses: ٣٦-٣٧36-37.(٣)(3)سُورةSurahالْأَنْعَامِAl-An'am,الآيَتَانِthe two verses: ٢٧-٢٨27-28.(٤)(4)كُتِبَIt was writtenفَوْقَهَاabove itفِيinالصُّلْبِthe spineطTيَخْرُجُونَwill come outمَعَwithالإشَارَةِthe indicationإِلَىtoكُونِهَاits comingجَاءَتْwas like thisهَكَذَاthusفِيinنُسَخَةٍinstance.أُخْرَىAnother.(٥)(5)فِيinالصُّلْبِthe spine"فَإنَّهُمْ""Then they will be."وَمُصَوَّبَةٌAnd correctedبِالْهَامِشِin the marginكَمَاasأَثْبَتَهَاit was confirmed.(٦)(6)الْحَدِيثُthe hadithسَبَقَhas precededتَخْرِيجُهُits narrationص ٥٦.p. 56.
And He said, the Exalted: {And those who disbelieve, for them is the Fire of Hell; it will not be judged upon them, so they die, and not will be lessened from them of its punishment. Like that, we recompense every disbeliever, and they cry out in it, 'Our Lord! Bring us out, we may do righteous deeds other than what we used to do.' Did we not give you long life for what one remembers in it who remembers, and the Warner came to you? So taste! For not the wrongdoers is there any helper.} (1)
وَقَالَAnd He saidتَعَالَىthe Exalted:{وَلَوْAnd ifتَرَىyou seeإِذْwhenوُقِفُواthey are made to standعَلَىuponالنَّارِthe Fireفَقَالُواthey saidيَاOلَيْتَنَاif only we couldنُرَدُّbe sent backوَلاand notنُكَذِّبَdenyبِآيَاتِthe signs ofرَبِّنَاour Lordوَنَكُونَand we would beمِنَamongالْمُؤْمِنِينَthe believersبَلْbutبَدَاbecame evidentلَهُمْto themمَاwhatكَانُواthey used toيُخْفُونَhideمِنْfromقَبْلُbeforeوَلَوْand ifرُدُّواthey were sent backلَعَادُواthey would returnلِمَاto whatنُهُواthey were forbiddenعَنْهُfrom itوَإِنَّهُمْand indeed theyلَكَاذِبُونَare liars.}}}(٣)فَهَذِهِTheseالنُّصُوصُtextsوَأَمْثَالُهَاand their likesفِيinالْقُرْآنِthe Qur'anتُبَيِّنُclarifyأَنَّهُمْthat they areخَالِدُونَeternalفِيinجَهَنَّمَHellلاneitherيَمُوتُونَthey dieوَلاand norيَحْيَوْنَthey live.(٤)،وَأَنَّهُمْand that they(٥)يَسْأَلُونَaskهَذَاthisوَهَذَاand thisفَلَاso notيُجَابُونَthey are answered..وَهَذَاAnd thisيَقْتَضِيnecessitatesخُلْدَهُمْtheir eternityفِيinجَهَنَّمَHell--دَارَthe abode ofالْعَذَابِpunishment--مَادَامَas long asذَلِكَthatالْعَذَابُpunishmentبَاقٍis ongoingوَلَاand notيَخْرُجُونَthey go outمِنْهَاfrom itمَعَwithبَقَائِهَاits permanence.وَبَقَاءِand the endurance ofعَذَابِهَاits punishment,كَمَاjust asيَخْرُجُthey are brought outأَهْلُthe people ofالتَّوْحِيدِmonotheism,فَإِنَّfor theyهَـؤُلَاءِtheseيَخْرُجُونَgo outمِنْهَاfrom itبِالشَّفَاعَةِby intercession.,وَغَيْرِand withoutالشَّفَاعَةِintercession.مَعَwithبَقَائِهَاits endurance.,كَمَاjust asيَخْرُجُthey are let outنَاسٌsome peopleمِنَfromالْحَبَسِthe prisonالَّذِيwhichفِيهِin itالْعَذَابَthe punishmentمَعَwithبَقَاءِthe continuation ofالْحَبَسِthe prison.وَالْعَذَابِand the punishmentلِلَّذِيof the one whoفِيهِis in itعَلَىuponمَنْwhomلَمْnotيَخْرُجْgo out..[أحاديث[Hadithsالشَّفَاعَة]of intercession]وَهَكَذَاAnd thusقَالَHe saidالنَّبِيُّthe Prophetصَلَّىpeace be upon himاللَّهُAllahعَلَيْهِupon himوَسَلَّمَand granted him peaceفِيinالْحَدِيثِthe hadithالصَّحِيحِthe authentic"صحيح"Sahihمسلم"Muslim"(٦)عَنْFromأَبِيAbuسَعِيدٍSaeedعَنْfromالنَّبِيِّthe Prophetصَلَّىpeace be upon himاللَّهُAllahعَلَيْهِupon himوَسَلَّمَand granted him peaceقَالَhe said::"أَمَّا"As forأَهْلُthe people ofالنَّارِthe Fireالَّذِينَthose whoهُمْtheyأَهْلُهَاare its peopleفَإنَّهُمْthen theyلاnotيَمُوتُونَdieفِيهَاin itوَلاand norيَحْيَوْنَthey live.وَلَكِنَّButنَاسٌsome peopleأَصَابَتْهُمُwere afflicted byالنَّارَthe Fireبِذُنُوبِهِمْbecause of their sins,فَأَمَاتَهُمُso Allah killed them.(١)فِيInالأصْلِthe originalهَكَذَاthus"يجزي""recompense"وَمَاand whatأَثْبَتَهُis confirmedهُوَit isقِرَاءَةُreading ofحَفْصٍHafs,كَمَاasفِيinرَسْمِthe writing ofالْمُصْحَفِ.the mushaf.(٢)(2)سُورةSurahفَاطِرٍAl-Fatir,الآيَتَانِthe two verses: ٣٦-٣٧36-37.(٣)(3)سُورةSurahالْأَنْعَامِAl-An'am,الآيَتَانِthe two verses: ٢٧-٢٨27-28.(٤)(4)كُتِبَIt was writtenفَوْقَهَاabove itفِيفيالصُّلْبِالعمودطط.يَخْرُجُونَيخرجونمَعَمعالإشَارَةِالإشارةإِلَىإلىكُونِهَاكونهاجَاءَتْجاءتهَكَذَاهكذافِيفينُسَخَةٍنسخة,أُخْرَىأخرى.(٥)(5)فِيفيالصُّلْبِالعمود"فَإنَّهُمْ""فإنهموَمُصَوَّبَةٌومصوبةبِالْهَامِشِبالنهايةكَمَاكما.أَثْبَتَهَاأثبته.(٦)(6)الْحَدِيثُالحديثسَبَقَسبقة.تَخْرِيجُهُوالتخريجص ٥٦.ص 56.
And He said, the Exalted: {And if you see when they are made to stand upon the Fire, they will say, 'O, if only we could be sent back, and that we would not deny the signs of our Lord, and that we could be among the believers.' But what they used to hide has become evident to them, and if they were sent back, they would return to what they were forbidden from, and indeed they are liars.} (3)
