وَقَالَAnd saidتَعَالَىThe Most High::إِنَّهُIndeed, heلَيْسَis notلَهُfor himسُلْطَانٌauthorityعَلَىoverالَّذِينَthose whoآمَنُواhave believedوَعَلَىand onرَبِّهِمْtheir Lordيَتَوَكَّلُونَthey rely,, إِنَّمَاIndeed, onlyسُلْطَانُهُhis authorityعَلَىoverالَّذِينَthose whoيَتَوَلَّوْنَهُtake him as a protectorوَالَّذِينَand those whoهُمْthey areبِهِwith himمُشْرِكُونَpolytheists
And the Most High said: "Indeed, he has no authority over those who have believed and rely upon their Lord; his authority is only over those who take him as a protector and those who are with him polytheists."
وَقَالَAnd saidتَعَالَىThe Most High::جَعَلْنَاWe have madeالشَّيَاطِينَthe devilsأَوْلِيَاءَfriendsلِلَّذِينَfor those whoلاdo notيُؤْمِنُونَbelieve
And the Most High said: "We have made the devils friends for those who do not believe."
وَقَالَAnd saidتَعَالَىThe Most High::إِنَّIndeedالَّذِينَthose whoاتَّقَوْاare mindfulإِذَاwhenمَسَّهُمْthey are touchedطَائِفٌa whisperمِنَfromالشَّيْطَانِthe devilتَذَكَّرُواthey rememberفَإِذَاthen whenهُمْthey areمُبْصِرُونَobservant,, وَإِخْوَانُهُمْAnd their brothersيَمُدُّونَهُمْthey extend to themفِيinالْغَيِّevilثُمَّthenلاthey do notيُقْصِرُونَthey cease
And the Most High said: "Indeed, those who are mindful, when a whisper from the devil touches them, they remember, and then they are observant. And their brothers extend to them in evil, then they do not cease."
وَقَالَAnd saidتَعَالَىThe Most High::وَيَوْمَAnd on the DayيَحْشُرُهُمْHe gathers themجَمِيعًاall togetherثُمَّthenيَقُولُHe saysلِلْمَلَائِكَةِto the angelsأَهَؤُلاءِAre theseإِيَّاكُمْYou?كَانُواthey wereيَعْبُدُونَworshippingقَالُواThey saidسُبْحَانَكَGlory be to YouأَنْتَYou areوَلِيُّنَاour protectorمِنْfromدُونِهِمْthemبَلْbutكَانُواthey wereيَعْبُدُونَworshippingالْجِنَّthe jinnأَكْثَرُهُمْmost of themبِهِمwith themمُؤْمِنُونَbelievers
And the Most High said: "And on the Day He gathers them all together, then He says to the angels, 'Are these who you were worshipping?' They will say, 'Glory be to You! You are our protector from them, but they were worshipping the jinn; most of them were believers with them.'"
وَقَالَAnd saidتَعَالَىThe Most High::فَتَتَّخِذُونَهُSo you take Himوَذُرِّيَّتَهُand His offspringأَوْلِيَاءَfriendsمِنْfromدُونِيbesides Meوَهُمْand they areلَكُمْfor youعَدُوٌّan enemyبِئْسَwhat a terribleلِلظَّالِمِينَfor the wrongdoersبَدَلًاis the exchange
And the Most High said: "So you take Him and His offspring as friends besides Me, while they are an enemy to you. What a terrible exchange for the wrongdoers!"
وَقَالَAnd saidتَعَالَىThe Most High::فَتَاقِتِلُواSo fight againstأَوْلِيَاءَthe allies ofالشَّيْطَانِthe devilإِنَّIndeedكَيْدَthe plotالشَّيْطَانِof the devilكَانَwasضَعِيفًاweak
And the Most High said: "So fight against the allies of the devil; indeed, the plot of the devil was weak."

فَأَمَرَSo He commandedبِقِتَالِto fight againstأَوْلِيَاءِthe allies ofالشَّيْطَانِthe devil,, وَهُمْand they areالْكُفَّارَthe disbelievers,, وَقَالَand said::اسْتَحْوَذَThe devil took overعَلَيْهِمُthemالشَّيْطَانُthe devilفَأَنْسَاهُمْand made them forgetذِكْرَthe remembrance ofاللَّهِAllahأُولَئِكَThose areحِزْبُthe party ofالشَّيْطَانِthe devilأَلاIndeedإِنَّthe partyحِزْبَthe party ofالشَّيْطَانِthe devilهُمُthey areالْخَاسِرُونَthe losers.
So He commanded to fight the allies of the devil, who are the disbelievers, and said: "The devil took over them and made them forget the remembrance of Allah; those are the party of the devil. Indeed, the party of the devil, they are the losers."
