The scholar Ibn Al-Qayyim says: "I had asked Sheikh of Islam - may God sanctify his soul - and he said to me, this issue is great, and he did not respond to it with anything. A time passed on that until I saw in 'the Interpretation of Abd Al-Hamid Al-Kashi' some of those traces - indicating the annihilation of the fire - so I sent him a book while he was in his final session, and I marked that place, and I said to the messenger: Tell him: This place is problematic for him, and he does not know what it is. So he will write about it in his famous work - may God have mercy on him."

Fifth: That this inclination understood from that issue is not famous in the circulated books of the Sheikh, but the famous thing about him in it is reporting the creed of the people of Sunnah and the community in general, and the defense of it, and among that is the rebuttal against the Jahmiyyah and the Mu'tazilah who said of the annihilation of Paradise and the Fire. And the scholar Sheikh Muhammad Nasir Al-Din Al-Albani followed what came about him in that and mentioned it in the introduction of the investigation of the book 'Raising the curtains to invalidate the proofs of those who say of the annihilation of the fire.' Sixth: It is possible that the Sheikh - may God have mercy on him - did not mention a specific opinion for him on this issue due to his adherence to the origin which is the saying of what the people of the Sunnah and the community hold regarding the permanence of the fire and its non-annihilation.
