كُلُّAllذَلِكَthatفَكَّرَتْthoughtالْأُمُّthe motherالْحَنُونُcompassionate،,وَلَكِنَّهَاbut sheتَوَكَّلَتْreliedعَلَىonاللَّهِAllahوَاعْتَمَدَتْand dependedعَلَىonوَحْيِrevelationاللَّهِAllah
All of that the compassionate mother thought about, but she relied upon Allah and depended on Allah's revelation.
وَلَيْسَAnd is notالْبَيْتُthe houseأَحْفَظَmore protectiveلِلطِّفْلِfor the childمِنَthanالصُّنْدُوقِthe box
And is the house not more protective for the child than the box!
هُنَاHereالشُّرْطَةُthe policeفِيinكُلِّeveryمَكَانٍplace
Here the police are in every place
وَعَدُوُّand the enemyالْأَطْفَالِof childrenبِمِرْصَادٍis on the watch،,وَالشُّرْطَةُand the policeلَهُمْfor themعُيُونُhave the eyesالْغُرَابِof a ravenوَشَامَةُand the markالنَّمْلِof an ant
and the enemy of children is on the watch, and the police have the eyes of a raven and the mark of an ant.
وَفَعَلَتْAnd didالْأُمُّthe motherالْمِسْكِينَةُpoorمَاwhatأَمَرَهَاcommanded herاللَّهُAllah
And the poor mother did what Allah commanded her
وَوَضَعَتْand putطِفْلَهَاher childالْجَمِيلَbeautifulفِيinصُنْدُوقٍa boxوَأَلْقَتْهُand threw himفِيintoالنَّيْلِthe Nile
and put her beautiful child in a box and threw him into the Nile.
وَجَزِعَتْAnd despairedالْأُمُّthe motherالْحَنُونُcompassionateثُمَّthenصَبَرَتْshe was patientوَتَوَكَّلَتْand reliedعَلَىonاللَّهِAllah
And the compassionate mother despaired, then she was patient and relied upon Allah.
وَأَوْحَيْنَاAnd We inspiredإِلَىٰtoأُمِّthe motherمُوسَىٰof Mosesأَنْthatأَرْضِعِيْهِnurse him
And We inspired to the mother of Moses, "Nurse him;
فَإِذَاand whenخِفْتِyou fearعَلَيْهِfor himفَأَلْقِيْهِthen cast himفِيintoالْيَمِّthe river
but when you fear for him, cast him into the river
وَلَاand do notتَخَافِيfearوَلَاand do notتَحْزَنِيgrieve
and do not fear and do not grieve.
إِنَّاIndeed Weرَادُّوْهُwill return himإِلَيْكِto youوَجَاعِلُوْهُand will make himمِنَofالْمُرْسَلِيْنَthe messengers
Indeed, We will return him to you and will make him of the messengers."
فِيInقَصْرِthe palaceفِرْعَوْنَof Pharaoh
In the palace of Pharaoh
كَانَThere wasفِرْعَوْنُPharaohلَهُwho hadقُصُورٌpalacesكَثِيرَةٌmanyعَلَىٰonشَاطِئِthe bankالنِّيْلِof the Nile
Pharaoh had many palaces on the bank of the Nile.
وَكَانَAnd he used toيَتَنَقَّلُmoveمِنْfromقَصْرٍpalaceإِلَىٰtoقَصْرٍpalaceوَيَتَنَزَّهُand strollعَلَىٰonشَاطِئِthe bankالنِّيْلِof the Nile
And he used to move from palace to palace and stroll on the bank of the Nile.
وَكَانَAnd it wasيَوْمًاone dayجَالِسًاhe was sittingعَلَىٰonشَاطِئِthe bankالنِّيْلِof the Nile
And one day he was sitting on the bank of the Nile
يَتَنَزَّهُstrollingوَيَرَىٰand lookingإِلَىatالنَّهْرِthe riverيَجْرِيflowingتَحْتَbeneathرِجْلَيْهِhis feet
strolling and looking at the river flowing beneath his feet.
كَانَتْThere wasمَعَهُwith himمَلِكَةُthe queenمِصْرَof Egyptتَتَنَزَّهُstrollingمَعَwithالْمَلِكِthe king،,وَتَرَىٰand lookingإِلَىatالنِّيْلِthe Nileيَجْرِيflowing۹۸98
There was with him the queen of Egypt strolling with the king, and looking at the Nile flowing 98.
