Many, many days ago.
١1مِنْofبَائِعُThe sellerالْأَصْنَامِof the idols
1 - The Idol Seller
كَانَThere wasفِيinقَرْيَةٍa villageرَجُلٌa manمَشْهُورٌfamousجِدًّا.very.
There was a very famous man in a village.
وَكَانَAnd wasاسْمُthe name ofهَذَاthisالرَّجُلِmanآزَرَ.Azar.
And the name of this man was Azar.
وَكَانَAnd wasآزَرُAzarيَبِيعُsellingالْأَصْنَامَ.the idols.
And Azar used to sell idols.
وَكَانَAnd there wasفِيinهَذِهِthisالْقَرْيَةِvillageبَيْتٌa houseكَبِيرٌbigجِدًّا.very.
And there was a very big house in this village.
وَكَانَAnd there wereفِيinهَذَاthisالْبَيْتِhouseأَصْنَامٌidolsكَثِيرَةٌmanyجِدًّا.very.
And there were very many idols in this house.
وَكَانَAnd theالنَّاسُpeopleيَسْجُدُونَused to prostrateلِهَذِهِto theseالْأَصْنَامِ.idols.
And the people used to prostrate to these idols.
وَكَانَAndآزَرُAzarيَسْجُدُused to prostrateلِهَذِهِto theseالْأَصْنَامِ.idols.
And Azar used to prostrate to these idols.
وَكَانَAndآزَرُAzarيَعْبُدُused to worshipهَذِهِtheseالْأَصْنَامَ.idols.
And Azar used to worship these idols.
٢2-–وَلَدُSonآزَرَof Azar
2 - Azar's Son
وَكَانَAndآزَرُAzarلَهُhadوَلَدٌa sonرَشِيدٌrighteousجِدًّا.very.
And Azar had a very righteous son.
وَكَانَAnd wasاسْمُthe name ofهَذَاthisالْوَلَدِboyإِبْرَاهِيمَ.Ibrahim.
And the name of this boy was Ibrahim.
وَكَانَAndإِبْرَاهِيمُIbrahimيَرَىused to seeالنَّاسَthe peopleيَسْجُدُونَprostratingلِلْأَصْنَامِto the idols
And Ibrahim used to see the people prostrating to the idols
وَيَرَىand he sawالنَّاسَthe peopleيَعْبُدُونَworshippingالْأَصْنَامَ.the idols.
and he saw the people worshipping the idols.
وَكَانَAndإِبْرَاهِيمُIbrahimيَعْرِفُknewأَنَّthatالْأَصْنَامَthe idolsحِجَارَةٌ.were stones.
And Ibrahim knew that the idols were stones.
