فَعُمَرُThus, عمريَعْنِيmeansمِنْofالْمُحَدِّثِينَthe narrators.
Thus, عمر means of the narrators.
فَالتَّحْدِيثُThen, the narrationإِلْهَامٌis an inspirationخَاصٌّspecific.
Then, the narration is a specific inspiration.
وَهُوَAnd it isالوَحْيُthe revelationإِلَىtoغَيْرِothers thanالْأَنْبِيَاءِthe prophets.
And it is the revelation to others than the prophets.
إِمَّاEitherمِنْfromالْمُكَلَّفِينَthose who are obligated,كَقَوْلِهِas His sayingتَعَالَىthe ExaltedوَأَوْحَيْنَاAnd We inspiredإِلَىtoأُمِّthe motherمُوسَىof Mosesأَنْthatأَرْضِعِيهِsuckle him.
Either from those who are obligated, as His saying the Exalted, 'And We inspired to the mother of Moses: Suckle him.'
وَقَوْلُهُAnd His saying:وَإِذْAnd whenأَوْحَيْتُI inspiredإِلَىtoالْحَوَارِيِّينَthe disciplesأَنْto believeآمِنُواthat they believeبِيin Meوَبِرَسُولِيand in My Messenger.
And His saying: 'And when I inspired to the disciples to believe in Me and in My Messenger.'
وَإِمَّاOrمِنْfromغَيْرِothers thanالْمُكَّلَّفِينَthe obligated,كَقَوْلِهِas His sayingتَعَالَىthe Exalted:﴿‘وَأَوْحَىAnd inspiredرَبِّكَYour Lordإِلَىtoالنَّحْلِthe beesأَنْthatاتَّخِذِيyou takeمِنَfromالْجِبَالِthe mountainsبُيُوتًاhouses,وَمِنَand fromالشَّجَرِthe treesوَمِمَّاand from whatيَعْرُشُونَthey construct.'}﴾’
Or from others than the obligated, as His saying the Exalted: 'And inspired Your Lord to the bees, take from the mountains houses, and from the trees, and from what they construct.'
فَهَذَاThisكُلَّهُall isوَحْيٌrevelationإِلْهَامٌinspiration.
This all is revelation inspiration.
وَأَمَّاAnd as forجَعْلِهِmaking itفَوْقَaboveمَقَامِthe stationالْفِرَاسَةِof perception:فَقَدْIt hasاحْتَجَّbeen arguedعَلَيْهِagainst itبَانَّthatالْفِرَاسَةَperceptionرُبَّمَاmayوَقَعَتْoccur asنَادِرَةًa rare occurrenceكَمَاasتَقَدَّمَwas mentioned.
And as for making it above the station of perception: It has been argued against it that perception may occur as a rare occurrence, as was mentioned.
وَالْنَّادِرُAnd the rareلَاdoes notحُكْمٌhave a rulingلَهُfor it.
And the rare does not have a ruling for it.
وَرُبَّمَاAnd it mayاسْتَعْصَتْhave been difficultعَلَىforصَاحِبِهَاits ownerوَاسْتَصْعَبَتْand difficult for itعَلَيْهِon him.فَلَمْSo it did notتَطَاوَعْهُyield to him..
And it may have been difficult for its owner and difficult for it on him. So it did not yield to him.
وَالإِلْهَامُAnd the inspirationلَاdoes notيَكُونُoccurإِلَّاexceptفِيinمَقَامٍthe stationعَتِيدٍready,يَعْنِيmeaningفِيinمَقَامِthe stationالْقُرْبِof closenessوَالْحُضُورِand presence.
And the inspiration does not occur except in the station ready, meaning in the station of closeness and presence.
وَالتَّحْقِيقُAnd the confirmationفِيinهَذَاthis:أَنْthatكُلَّallواحِدٍoneمِنَofالْفِرَاسَةِthe perceptionوَandالإِلْهَامِthe inspirationيَنْقَسِمُis dividedإِلَىintoعَامٍّgeneralوَخَاصٍّand specific.
And the confirmation in this: that all one of the perception and the inspiration is divided into general and specific.
وَخَاصٌّAnd the specificكُلُّeachواحِدٍone of themمِنْهَاof themفَوْقَis aboveعَامٍّthe generalالْآخَرِother.
And the specific of each one of them is above the general one.
وَعَامٌّAnd the generalكُلُّeachواحِدٍone of themقَدْmayيَقَعُoccurكَثِيرًاoften,وَخَاصَّةًand the specificقَدْmayيَقَعُoccurنَادِرًاrarely.
And the general of each one may occur often, and the specific may occur rarely.
وَلَكِنButالْفَرْقُthe differenceالصَّحِيحُthe correctأَنْis thatالْفِرَاسَةَthe perceptionقَدْmayتَتَعَلَّقَrelateبِنَوْعٍto a typeكَسْبٍof earningوَتَحْصِيلٍand acquisition.وَأَمَّاAnd as forالإِلْهَامِthe inspirationفَمَوْهَبَةٌit is a mere giftمُجَرَّدَةٌunencumbered,لَاwhich is notتُنَالُgained throughبِكَسْبٍearningأَلْبَتَّةَat all.
But the correct difference is that the perception may relate to a type of earning and acquisition. And as for the inspiration, it is a mere gift, which is not gained through earning at all.
