كَانَwasوَفِيand inهَذِهِthisالطَّبْعَةِeditionزِدْنَاwe addedشَيْئًاsomethingعَلَىtoعَمَلِthe workالْمُؤَلِّفِof the authorشَيْخِSheikhالإِسْلَامِof IslamابْنِIbnتَيْمِيَّةَTaimiyyah
And in this edition, we have added something to the work of the author, Sheikh of Islam Ibn Taimiyyah.
فَقَدْIndeedرَحِمَهُmay God have mercy on himاللَّهُAllahيُوْرِدُhe mentionsأَوَّلَthe beginningالْآيَةِof the verseأَوْorالْآيَاتِthe versesالَّتِيthatيَسْتَشْهِدُhe citesبِهَاwith itوَيَقُولُand saysبَعْدَهَاafter itإِلَىtoآخِرِthe endالْآيَةِof the verseأَوْorإِلَىtoقَوْلِهِhis sayingكَذَاsuch and such.
Indeed, may Allah have mercy on him, he mentions the beginning of the verse or the verses that he cites and then says: 'to the end of the verse or to his saying such and such.'
فَقَدْIndeedأَتْمَمْنَاwe have completedتِلْكَthoseالْآيَاتِversesلِتَكُونَto beأَمَامَbeforeعَيْنَيْthe eyesالْقَارِئِof the readerالْكَرِيمِthe honorable.
Indeed, we have completed those verses to be before the eyes of the honorable reader.
وَبِذَلِكَAnd thusيُسَهِّلُit makes easyعَلَيْهِfor himفَهْمَto understandالْمَوْضُوعَthe topic.
And thus, it makes it easy for him to understand the topic.
كَمَاAsأَنَّنَاweأَصْلَحْنَاcorrectedمَاwhatنَدُّwe hadعَلَيْنَاupon usوَعَنْand aboutالإِخْوَةِthe brothersالَّذِينَwhoسَاعَدُونَاhelped usفِيinالطَّبِعَاتِthe editionsالسَّابِقَةِprevious.
As we corrected what we had regarding the brothers who helped us in the previous editions.
أَخْطَاءٌmistakesكَانَتْthat wereتُؤَرِّقُنَاtroubling usعَلَىdespiteقَلَّتِهَاtheir small number.
Mistakes that were troubling us despite their small number.
وَفِيAnd inهَذَاthisالْكِتَابِbookالْقَيِّمِvaluable,تَجِدُyou findالرَّدَّthe responseالْمُفْحِمَthe decisiveعَلَىagainstالنَّاعِقِينَthe howlersالْمَهُوشِينَthe ignorant who shoutعَلَىatشَيْخِSheikhالإِسْلَامِof IslamابْنِIbnتَيْمِيَّةَTaimiyyah.
And in this valuable book, you find the decisive response against the howlers who delude against Sheikh of Islam Ibn Taimiyyah.
وَهُمْAnd theyبَيْنَamongمُكفِّرٍthe infidelsوَمُضَلَّلٍand the misguidedوَمُسَفِّهٍand the foolishوَتَجْهَلُand the ignorant,وَمَاand whatجَاءَهُمْcame to themذَلِكَthatإِلَّاexceptمِنْfromحِقْدٍhatredفِيinنُفُوسِهِمtheir soulsعَلَىagainstهَذَاthisالدِّينِreligionتُبْدِيهِexpressed byكَلِمَاتِهِمtheir wordsفِيaboutرِجَالِهِits menوَدُعَاتِهِand its callers.
And they are among the infidels, the misguided, the foolish, and the ignorant, and that came to them except from hatred in their souls against this religion expressed by their words about its men and its callers.
وَهَذَاAnd thisدَأْبٌis the natureأَهْلِof the peopleالْبِدَعِof innovationوَالضَّلالَاتِand misguidance,بِعَجْزِهِمdue to their inabilityعَنْtoمُوَاجَهَةِfaceالْحَقِّthe truthصَرَاحَةًclearly.
And this is the nature of the people of innovation and misguidance, due to their inability to clearly face the truth.
وَلَكِنَّButاللَّهَAllahيُظْهِرُshowsكَيْدَهُمْtheir plotsفِيinفَلَتَاتِslipsأَلْسِنَتِهِمof their tongues.
But Allah shows their plots in the slips of their tongues.
وَيَكْفِيAnd it sufficesهَؤُلَاءِtheseإِنْكَارٌdenialمَاwhatهُمْthey areعَلَيْهِupon it,وَمَاand whatأَثْبَتَhas been affirmedجَمِيعٌallاللَّهُAllahلِنَفْسِهِfor Himselfمِنْofأَسْمَاءِthe namesوَصِفَاتٍand attributesتَلِيقٌthat suitبِجَلاَلِهِHis majestyوَجَمَالِهِand His beautyوَكَمَالِهِand His perfection.
And it suffices these to deny what they are upon, and what Allah has affirmed for Himself of names and attributes that suit His majesty, His beauty, and His perfection.
انْفَرَدَHe alone is unique in themبِهَاwith themتَعَالَىthe Most Highعَنْaboveالنَّظِيرِsimilarityوَالْمَثِيلِand comparison.
He alone is unique in them, the Most High, above similarity and comparison.
فِيWhileحِينٍat the timeأَثْبَتَIbn Taimiyyah affirmedشَيْخَSheikhالإِسْلَامِof Islamمَاwhatأَثْبَتَwas affirmedاللَّهُAllahمِنْofغَيْرِwithoutتَأْوِيلٍinterpretationأَوْorتَعْطِيلٍnegation.
While Ibn Taimiyyah, the Sheikh of Islam, affirmed what Allah has affirmed without interpretation or negation.
وَعَلَىAnd onهَذَاthisالنَّهْجِapproachكَانَwereالْصَّحَابَةُthe Companionsجَمِيعًاallرَضِيَmay Allah be pleased with themاللَّهُAllahوَعَلَيْهِand upon himأَيْضًاalsoعَنْهُمْabout them.
And on this approach were the Companions, may Allah be pleased with them, and also about them.
مِنْfromنَعْرِفُwe knowمِنْfromعُلَمَاءِthe scholarsالأُمَّةِof the nationالأَعْلَامِthe prominent;وَمِنْهُمْand among themالْأَئِمَّةِthe imamsالأَرْبَعَةِfourالْمَشْهُودِwitnessedلَهُمْfor themبِالْفَهْمِfor their understandingوَالْفِقْهِand jurisprudence:أَبُوAbuحَنِيفَةَHanafiالنُّعْمَانِthe Nu'manوَمَالِكٌand Malikابْنُson ofأَنَسٍAnas,وَمُحَمَّدٌand Muhammadابْنُson ofإِدْرِيسٍIdrisالشَّافِعِيِّal-Shafi'i,وَبِنُand son ofمُحَمَّدٍMuhammadابْنِson ofحَنْبَلٍHanbal
From whom we know the prominent scholars of the nation; among them are the four imams who are testified for their understanding and jurisprudence: Abu Hanifa (the Nu'man), Malik ibn Anas, Muhammad ibn Idris al-Shafi'i, and Ahmad ibn Hanbal.
كَمَاAsعَلَيْهِit is on himمِنْfromعُرِفَwho is knownبِالْعَقِيدَةِby the creedالإِمَامِthe ImamأَبِيAbuالْحَسَنِal-HasanعَلِيٍّAliابْنِIbnإِسْمَاعِيلَIshaq al-Ash'ari.
As it is known from the creed, the Imam Abu al-Hasan Ali ibn Isma'il al-Ash'ari.
وَشَيْخُAnd Sheikhالإِسْلَامِof IslamابْنِIbnتَيْمِيَّةَTaimiyyahغَنِيٌّis richعَنْfromالتَّعْرِيفِdefinitionبِمَاof whatقَدَّمَhe presentedمِنْfromعِلْمٍknowledgeوَعَمَلٍand work,وَجِهَادٍand jihadفِيinسَبِيلِthe path ofاللَّهِAllah,وَهَذِهِand theseكُتُبُهُhis booksشَاهِدَةٌwitnessعَلَىonذَلِكَthat.
And Sheikh of Islam Ibn Taimiyyah is rich in definition of what he presented from knowledge, work, and jihad in the path of Allah, and these books of his witness to that.
وَأَحْمَدُAnd praiseاللَّهَbe to Allahوَالصَّلَاةُand prayersعَلَىuponرَسُولِthe Messengerاللَّهِof Allah.
And praise be to Allah and prayers upon the Messenger of Allah.
