وَعَلَيْهِAnd upon himتُبْعَثُyou sendإِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُif God wills
And upon him, you will send, if God wills.
وَعَلَيْهَاAnd upon herتُبْعَثُyou sendإِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُif God wills
And upon her, you will send, if God wills.
وَفِيAnd inبِضْعٍa fewأَحَدِكُمْof youصَدَقَةٌcharity
And in a few of you, there is charity.
وَلَدَNoah hadنُوحٌNoahثَلاثَةٌthreeسَامٌShemوَحَامٌand Hamوَيَافَثٌand Japheth
Noah had three: Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
وَهَلْAnd whetherيُكَبُّit throwsالنَّاسُthe peopleفِيintoالنَّارِthe fireعَلَىuponوُجُوهِهِمْtheir faces
And whether the people will be thrown into the fire upon their faces.
وَهُمْAnd theyبِالْمَدِينَةِin the cityحَبَسَهُمْheld them backالْعُذْرُthe excuse
And they were held back in the city by the excuse.
وَلَاAnd notتُؤْمِنُواyou believeحَتَّىuntilتُحَابُّواyou love one another
And you do not believe until you love one another.
الْوَلَدُThe childلِلرَّضَاعِis for nursingوَلِلْعَاهِرِand for the fornicatorالْحَجَرُthe stone
The child is for nursing, and for the fornicator, the stone.
لَاNo
No.
لَاNoأَلْفِنَّI will writeأَحَدُكُمْof youمُتَّكِئًاleaningعَلَىonأَرِيكَتِهِhis couch
I will not write of any of you leaning on his couch.
لَاNoإِيمَانَfaithلِمَنْfor whomلَاnotأَمَانَةٍtrustworthinessلَهُto him
There is no faith for one who does not have trustworthiness.
لَاNoيَرِثُinheritsالْمُسْلِمُthe Muslimالْكَافِرُthe disbeliever
The Muslim does not inherit from the disbeliever.
لَاNoيَزْنِيcommits adulteryالزَّانِيthe adultererحِينَwhenيَزْنِيhe commits adultery
The adulterer does not commit adultery while he is committing adultery.
لَاNoيُؤْمِنُone believesأَحَدُكُمْof youحَتَّىuntilأَكُونَI amكَمَاas
None of you believes until I am as.
لَاNoيُؤْمِنُone believesأَحَدُكُمْof youحَتَّىuntilيُحِبَّhe loves
None of you believes until he loves.
لَاNoيُؤْمِنُone believesمَنْwhoلَاnotيَأْمَنُfeel secureجَارَهُhis neighborبَوَائِقَهُhis evils
No one believes who does not feel secure from his neighbor's evils.
لَاNoتَرْجِعُواyou returnبَعْدِيafter meكُفَّارًاdisbelievers
Do not return after me as disbelievers.
لَاNoدِينَreligionلِمَنْfor whomلَاnotعَهْدٌa covenantلَهُto him
There is no religion for one who has no covenant.
لَاNoصَلَاةَprayerإِلَّاexceptبِأُمِّwith the mother ofالْقُرْآنِthe Quran
There is no prayer except with the Opening of the Quran.
لَاNoصَلَاةَprayerإِلَّاexceptبِطَهَارَةٍwith purity
There is no prayer except with purity.
لَاNoصَلَاةَprayerإِلَّاexceptبِوُضُوءٍwith ablution
There is no prayer except with ablution.
لَاNoصَلَاةَprayerلِفَذٍfor one who is aloneخَلْفَbehindالصَّفِّthe row
There is no prayer for one who is alone behind the row.
لَاNoصَلَاةَprayerلِجَارٍfor the neighborالْمَسْجِدِof the mosqueإِلَّاexceptفِيinالْمَسْجِدِthe mosque
There is no prayer for the neighbor of the mosque except in the mosque.
لَاNoصِيَامَfastingلِمَنْfor whomلَمْwho did notيَبِيتْspend the nightالصِّيَامَfasting
There is no fasting for one who does not spend the night fasting.
يَاOأَهْلَpeople ofالْجَنَّةِthe gardenهَلْareرَضِيتُمْyou pleased?
O people of the garden, are you pleased?
يَاOرَسُولَMessengerاللَّهِof Godابْنَthe son ofأَخِيmy brotherعُتْبَةَUtbah
O Messenger of God, the son of my brother Utbah.
يَاOرَسُولَMessengerاللَّهِof Godأَتِينَاكَwe have come to youبِغَيْرِwithoutقِتَالٍfighting
O Messenger of God, we have come to you without fighting.
يَاOرَسُولَMessengerاللَّهِof Godإِنَّاindeed weأَحَدُنَاone of usلَيَجِدُfinds
O Messenger of God, indeed one of us finds.
يَاOرَسُولَMessengerاللَّهِof Godأَهُوَis heالرَّجُلُthe manيَسْرِقُstealsوَيَزْنِيand commits adultery
O Messenger of God, is he the man who steals and commits adultery?
يَاOرَسُولَMessengerاللَّهِof Godأَيُّwhichالأَعْمَالِdeedsأَفْضَلُis best?
O Messenger of God, which deeds are best?
لَاNoطَاعَةًobedienceلِمَخْلُوقٍto a created beingفِيinمَعْصِيَةٍdisobedienceالْخَالِقِthe Creator
There is no obedience to a created being in disobedience to the Creator.
يَاOرَسُولَMessengerاللَّهِof Godأَيُّwhichالْجِهَادِstruggleأَفْضَلُis best?
O Messenger of God, which struggle is best?
لَاNoيَاOبِنْتَdaughterالصِّدِّيقِthe truthful oneوَهُوَand he isالرَّجُلُthe man
No, O daughter of the truthful one, and he is the man.
يَاOرَسُولَMessengerاللَّهِof Godأَيُّwhichالصَّدَقَةَcharityأَفْضَلُis best?
O Messenger of God, which charity is best?
يَاOرَسُولَMessengerاللَّهِof Godأَيُّwhichالصَّلَاةَprayerأَفْضَلُis best?
O Messenger of God, which prayer is best?
يَاOرَسُولَMessengerاللَّهِof Godأَيُّwhichالْقَتْلِkillingأَشْرَفُis most honorable?
O Messenger of God, which killing is most honorable?
لَاNoيُبْغِضُhatesالْأَنْصَارَthe supportersرَجُلٌa manيُؤْمِنُwho believes
A man does not hate the believers who support.
لَاNoيَتَحَدَّثُpeople talksالنَّاسُthe peopleأَنْthatمُحَمَّدًاMuhammadيَقْتُلُkillsأَصْحَابَهُhis companions
People do not talk that Muhammad kills his companions.
يَاOرَسُولَMessengerاللَّهِof Godأَيُّwhichالْمُؤْمِنِينَof the believersأَكْمَلُis more completeإِيمَانًاin faith?
O Messenger of God, which of the believers is more complete in faith?
