And in the supplication of Qunoot (1): "Take me under your care among those whom You have taken care of, and the ancient does not conceive of its request. Indeed, the Most High said: 'Indeed, Allah is the guardian of those who sent down the Book and He takes care of the righteous.' [Al-A'raf], and He said: 'And Allah is the guardian of the pious) [Al-Jathiya, 19].

This guardianship for them is a reward for their righteousness and their piety, and it is caused by it, thus it will not precede it, even if they only became righteous and pious by His will, power, blessing, and grace.
فَدَلَّThus, it indicatesعَلَىthatأَنَّthisهَذَاthisالتَّوَلِّيguardianshipهُوَisبَعْدَafterذَلِكَthatمِثْلَlikeكَوْنِهِbeingمَعَwithالْمُتَّقِينَthe piousوَالصَّالِحِينَand the righteous byنَصْرِهِHis supportوَتَأْيِيدِهِ،and assistance, notلَيْسَthat it is beforeذَلِكَthat.قَبْلَbeforeكَوْنِهِمtheir beingمُتَّقِينَpiousوَصَالِحِينَ.and righteous.وَهَكَذَاAnd likewiseالرَّحْمَةُ،mercy,قَالَ:said:الرَّاحِمُونَThe mercifulيَرْحَمُهُمْwill be shown mercyالرَّحْمَـٰنُby the Most MercifulارْحَمُواHave mercy onمَنْthose whoفِيare onالْأَرْضِthe earthيَرْحَمْكُمwill have mercy on youمَنْfromفِيthe one inالسَّمَاءِ»،the heavens,"
Thus, it indicates that this guardianship is after that, like being with the pious and the righteous by His support and assistance, not before their being pious and righteous. Likewise, mercy. He said: "The merciful will be shown mercy by the Most Merciful. Have mercy on those who are on the earth, and you will be shown mercy from the One in the heavens."

He said al-Tirmidhi: This hadith is authentic (2), and likewise his saying: "And if you are grateful, He will please you [for you] [Az-Zumar: 7]" attaches pleasure with it the reward to the condition, and the cause of the result, and the reward is only within their hands. The slackness, and that He said: "You will indeed enter the Sacred Mosque if Allah wills, secure. [Al-Fath: 27] This indicates that He wills that thereafter.
وَكَذَلِكَAnd likewiseقَوْلُهُ:His saying:(إِنَّمَا(Indeed,أَمْرُهُHis commandإِذَاis whenأَرَادَHe wishesشَيْئًاsomethingأَنْthatيَقُولَHe will sayلَهُto itكُنBe!فَيَكُونُ﴾and it will be.' And likewise, His saying: 'Indeed, His command is when He wishes for a thing to be, He says to it, 'Be!' and it will be.' [Yasin], so 'If' is a preposition for what is to come from the time, it indicates that when He wishes, He commands it to be, and it will be. Likewise, His saying: 'And say, strive, and Allah will see your actions.'
