So the Muslims, their Sunnis and their innovators agree on the necessity of faith in Allah, His angels, His books, His messengers, and the Last Day. They agree on the necessity of prayer, zakat, fasting, and pilgrimage. They agree that whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger will enter Paradise and will not be punished. They also agree that whoever does not believe that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah to him is a disbeliever, and matters such as these which are the foundations of religion and principles of faith are agreed upon by those who belong to Islam and faith. Their disputes after this in some rulings of punishment or some meanings of some names are minor compared to what they have agreed upon, even though those who oppose the clear truth from the Book and the Sunnah are known among the majority of the Ummah for innovation, and they bear witness against themselves for misguidance. They have no true standing or general acceptance in the Ummah, like the Khawarij, the Rafidah, the Qadiriyah, and their likes. Only the people of knowledge and Sunnah disagree on precise matters that are hidden from most people. However, it is mandatory to refer what they have disputed back to Allah and His Messenger. To refer back to Allah and His Messenger in the matter of Islam and faith necessitates that everyone — even if the meaning is obligatory — does not deserve Paradise unless he is a believer and Muslim. The truth in this is what the Prophet clarified in the Hadith of Gabriel, where he categorized religion and its people into three levels: the first of them is Islam, the middle is faith, and the highest is excellence. Whoever reaches the highest has reached what follows. The one who excels is a believer, and the believer is a Muslim, while the Muslim does not have to be a believer. Thus, the Quran came and categorized the Ummah into these three types. Allah the Exalted said: “We inherited the Book to those whom We selected from Our servants. Among them is one who wrongs himself, among them is a moderate, and among them is one who excels in good deeds by the permission of Allah. That is indeed the great favor.” Thus, the Muslim who has not fulfilled the duty of faith is the one who wrongs himself; the moderate is the absolute believer who has performed the obligation and avoided the forbidden; and the one who excels in good deeds is the one who worships Allah as if he sees Him. And Allah the Most High has mentioned the division of people in the Afterlife into these three in Surah Al-Waqi'a, Al-Mutaffifin, and Hal Atā, and has also mentioned the disbelievers. And here he makes the division for the chosen ones among His servants.

The last chapter regarding what was mentioned about faith, Islam, and excellence can lead to success if one adheres to these fundamental principles. Firstly, if one is a believer. Then we showcase the factors that govern our interactions with the truths in religion. And if the interaction is positive, it will lead to a life filled with noble morals, whereas negative interactions will result in a dark life, as it is. Therefore, the interaction must be positive. With this, we can achieve success in life.
