And he said: "Faith has ranks, some above others, so the one with deficient faith is not like the one with complete faith. Allah, the Exalted, said: 'Indeed, only the believers are those who, when Allah is mentioned, their hearts tremble' (Al-Anfal: 2). That is truly, and therefore, he said: 'They are truly the believers' (Al-Anfal: 4). And likewise, his saying: 'The believer is one who is trusted by people and the Muslim is one who the Muslims are safe from his tongue and his hand' — meaning truly. And from this, his saying: 'The most complete of the believers in faith' (2).

And it is known that this does not become the most complete until another is less!

And his saying: "The strongest bonds of faith are love for Allah and hate for Allah."

And his saying: 'There is no faith for whom there is no trust for him' (3) indicates that some faith is stronger and more complete than others, and he mentioned the hadith which was narrated by Al-Tirmidhi and others, 'Whoever loves Allah and hates Allah' (4).

And likewise, Abu Umar Al-Talmanqi mentioned the consensus of the people of Sunnah that faith is a statement, action, intention, and correctness of the Sunnah.

And he said, Abu Talib Al-Makki: The foundations of Islam are five: that is, the two testimonies, the five prayers, charity, fasting the month of Ramadan, and pilgrimage. He said, and the pillars of faith are seven: that is, the five mentioned in the hadith of Gabriel and faith in destiny, faith in Paradise and Hell, and both have been narrated in the hadith of Gabriel as we will mention if Allah wills.

He said: and faith in the names of Allah the Exalted and in His attributes, and faith in the Books of Allah and His Prophets, and faith in the Angels and the devils, meaning — and Allah knows — the faith in the distinction between them, for indeed some people make them one type, but they differ based on the deeds.
