حَدَّثَنَاHe (the narrator) told usمُحَمَّدٌMuhammadابْنُson ofيَحْيَىYahyaوَمُحَمَّدٌand Muhammadابْنُson ofرَافِعٍRafi,,حَدَّثَنَاHe told usعَبْدُAbdالرَّزَّاقِAl-Razzaq،,أَنَبَأَنَاHe informed usمَعْمَرٌMumarعَنْaboutابْنِthe son ofطَاوُسٍTawus,,عَنْaboutأَبِيهِhis fatherقَالَ:He said:سُئِلَHe was askedابْنُIbnعَبَّاسٍAbbasعَنْaboutقَوْلِهِHis saying ::(وَمَنْ(And whoeverلَمْdid notيَحْكُمjudgeبِمَاby whatأَنزَلَAllah revealedاللَّهُGodفَأُولَئِكَthen thoseهُمْareالْكَافِرُونَthe disbelievers)))قَالَ :He said:هِيَIt isبِهَاby itكُفْرٌdisbelief,,قَالَsaidابْنُIbnطَاوُسٍTawus::وَلَيْسَand notكَمَنْlike one whoكَفَرَknew disbeliefبِاللَّهِin Godوَمَلَائِكَتِهِand His angelsوَكُتُبِهِand His booksوَرُسُلِهِand His messengers(۱).(1)
Muhammad ibn Yahya and Muhammad ibn Rafi told us. Abd al-Razzaq informed us from Ma'mar about Ibn Tawus, from his father who said: Ibn Abbas was asked about the saying: (And whoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed, then those are the disbelievers). He said: 'It is disbelief in it, and it is not like one who disbelieves in Allah, His angels, His books, and His messengers (1).'
حَدَّثَنَاHe told usإِسْحَاقُIshaq,,أَنَبَأَنَاHe informed usوَكِيعٌWakiعَنْaboutسُفْيَانَSufyan,,عَنْaboutمَعْمَرٍMa'mar,,عَنْaboutابْنِthe son ofطَاوُسٍTawus,,عَنْaboutأَبِيهِhis father,,عَنْaboutابْنِIbnعَبَّاسٍAbbasقَالَsaidهُوَit isبِهَاby it,,كُفْرٌdisbelief,,وَلَيْسَand is notكَمَنْlike one whoكَفَرَdisbelievedبِاللَّهِin Godوَالْمَسِيحِand the Last Dayوَمَلَائِكَتِهِand His angelsوَكُتُبِهِand His booksوَرُسُلِهِand His messengers(٢).(2)
Ishaq informed us from Waki, from Sufyan, from Ma'mar, from Ibn Tawus, from his father, from Ibn Abbas who said: 'It is by it disbelief, and it is not like one who disbelieved in God, the Last Day, His angels, His books, and His messengers (2).'
بِهَاAlso by itأَنَبَأَنَاHe informed usوَكِيعٌWakiعَنْaboutسُفْيَانَSufyan,,عَنْaboutمَعْمَرٍMa'mar,,عَنْaboutابْنِthe son ofطَاوُسٍTawusعَنْaboutأَبِيهِhis fatherقَالَ :He said:قُلْتُI saidلِابْنِto IbnعَبَّاسٍAbbas::وَمَنْ(And whoever)لَمْdid notيَحْكُمjudgeبِمَاby whatأَنزَلَwas revealedاللَّهُAllahفَهُوَthen he isكَافِرٌ؟disbeliever? He said:قَالَ :He said:هُوَIt isبِهَاwith itكُفْرٌdisbelief,,وَلَيْسَand is notكَمَنْlike one whoكَفَرَdisbelievedبِاللَّهِin Godوَالْيَوْمَand the Dayالْآخِرِof the Lastوَمَلَائِكَتِهِand His angelsوَكُتُبِهِand His booksوَرُسُلِهِand His messengers(۳).(3)
He also informed us from Waki, from Sufyan, from Ma'mar, from Ibn Tawus about his father who said: 'I said to Ibn Abbas: (And whoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed, he is a disbeliever?). Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us. Abd al-Razzaq from Sufyan from a man from Tawus from Ibn Abbas said: 'Disbelief that does not move from the religion.'
حَدَّثَنَاHe told usإِسْحَاقُIshaq,,أَنَبَأَنَاHe informed usوَكِيعٌWakiعَنْaboutسُفْيَانَSufyanعَنْ, aboutسَعِيدٍSaidالمَكِّيِّthe Meccan,,عَنْaboutطَاوُسٍTawusقَالَ :He said:لَيْسَIt is notبِكُفْرٍby disbeliefيَنْقَلُtransferredعَنْfromالْمِلَّةِthe religion. .
Ishaq told us. Waki informed us from Sufyan about Said the Meccan from Tawus who said: 'It is not by disbelief that is transferred from the religion.'
حَدَّثَنَاHe told usإِسْحَاقُIshaq,,أَنَبَأَنَاHe informed usوَكِيعٌWaki,,عَنْaboutابْنِthe son ofجُرَيْجٍJurayj,,عَنْaboutعَطَاءِAtaقَالَ :said:كُفْرٌdisbeliefدُونَless thanكُفْرٍdisbelief,,وَظُلْمٌand injusticeدُونَless thanظُلْمٍinjustice,,وَفِسْقٌand disobedienceدُونَless thanفِسْقٍdisobedience. .
Ishaq narrated to us from Waki, from Ibn Jurayj, from Ata who said: 'Disbelief that is less than disbelief, injustice that is less than injustice, and disobedience that is less than disobedience.'
وَيُسَمَّىAnd it is calledمُحَمَّدٌMuhammadابْنُthe son ofنَصْرٍNasr::قَالُواThey said:وَقَدْAnd indeedصَدَقَtrueعَطَاءٌAta,,قَدْhas beenيُسَمَّىis calledالْكَافِرُthe disbelieverظَالِمًاunjust,,الْعَاصِيthe sinnerمِنَofالْمُسْلِمِينَthe Muslimsظَالِمًاunjust,,فَظُلْمٌso injusticeيُنْقَلُis transmittedعَنْfromمِلَّةِthe religion of Islam,,وَظُلْمٌand injusticeلَاnotيُنْقَلُtransferredفَقَالَThen he saidاللَّهُGodتَعَالَى:the Exalted:﴿الَّذِينَ(Those who)آمَنُواhave believedوَلَمْand did notيَلْبِسُواmixإِيمَانَهُمtheir faithبِظُلْمٍ﴾with injustice[6]أَنَّIndeedالشِّركَassociating partners (with God)لَظُلْمٌis injusticeعَظِيمٌgreat[لقمان: ١٣][Luqman: 13]وَذَكَرَAnd He mentionedحَدِيثَthe Hadithابْنِof IbnمَسْعُودٍMas'udالمُتَّفَقُthe agreed uponعَلَيْهِuponقَالَ :He said:لَمَّاWhenنَزَلَتْwas revealed::الَّذِينَ(Those who)ءَامَنُواhave believedوَلَمْand did notيَلْبِسُواmixإِيمَانَهُمtheir faithبِظُلْمٍwith injusticeشَقَّwas hardذَٰلِكَfor themعَلَىonأَصْحَابِthe companionsالنَّبِيِّof the Prophetﷺ(۱)(1)إِسْنَادُهُIts chain of narration(A)(A)صَحِيحٌis authentic.صَحِيحٌAuthentic.أَيْضًاAlso.أَيْضًاAlso.٢٥٦256
And it is called Muhammad ibn Nasr: They said: 'And indeed Ata has spoken the truth, the disbeliever is called unjust. A sinner from the Muslims is unjust; thus injustice may be transmitted from the religion of Islam, and injustice may not be transferred.' Then God, the Exalted, said: (Those who have believed and did not mix their faith with injustice; indeed associating partners (with God) is great injustice [Luqman: 13]. And He mentioned the Hadith of Ibn Mas'ud, the agreed upon record, who said: 'When was revealed: (Those who have believed and did not mix their faith with injustice), this was hard upon the companions of the Prophet (1).
