يُؤْمِنَbelievesمِنَfromقَوْمِكَyour peopleإِلَّاexceptمَنwhoقَدْhasءَامَنَbelieved

None of your people will believe except those who have already believed.

وَقَالَAnd saidنُوحٌNoah:وَمَاAnd notأَنَاI amبِطَارِدِto banishالَّذِينَthose whoوَءَامَنُواbelieved

And Noah said: "And I will not banish those who have believed."

وَكَذَٰلِكَAnd likewiseأُخْبِرَinformedعَنْaboutإِبْرَاهِيمَAbrahamأَنَّthatدِينَهُhis religionالإِسْلَامَIslamفَقَالَhe saidتَعَالَىThe Exalted:وَمَنAnd whoeverيَرْغَبُturns awayعَن مِلَّةِfrom the religion ofإِبْرَاهِيمَAbrahamإِلَّاexceptمَنwhoسَفِهَacts foolishlyنَفْسَهُhis soulوَلَقَدِAnd certainlyاصْطَفَيْنَاهُWe chose himفِيinالدُّنْيَاthis worldوَإِنَّهُand surely heفِيinالْآخِرَةِthe Hereafterلَمِنَis amongالصَّالِحِينَthe righteous

And likewise, it was reported about Abraham that his religion is Islam. Allah the Exalted said: "And whoever turns away from the religion of Abraham except one who acts foolishly in his soul; and certainly We chose him in this world, and surely he is among the righteous in the Hereafter."

إذْWhenقَالَsaidلَهُto himرَبُّهُhis Lord:أَسْلِمْSubmit!قَالَhe saidأَسْلَمْتُI have submittedلِرَبِّto the Lord ofالْعَالَمِينَthe worlds.

When his Lord said to him: "Submit!" He said: "I have submitted to the Lord of the worlds."

وَوَصَّىAnd he advisedبِهَاwith itإِبْرَاهِيمُAbrahamبَنِيهِhis sons:وَيَعْقُوبُand Jacob:يَنْبَغِيIt is to be expectedإِنَّthat surelyاللَّهَAllahاصْطَفَىhas chosenلَكُمُfor youالَّذِينَthose whoفَلَاso do notتَمُوتُنَّdieإِلَّاexceptوَأَنتُمْwhile youمُسْلِمُونَare Muslims.

And Abraham advised his sons and Jacob, saying: "Indeed, Allah has chosen for you the religion, so do not die except while you are Muslims."

وَقَالَAnd he said:وَمَنْAnd whoأَحْسَنُis betterدِينًاin religionمِّمَّنْthan one whoأَسْلَمَhas submittedوَجْهَهُhis faceلِلَّهِto Allahوَهُوَand he isمُحْسِنٌdoing good:وَاتَّبَعَand followedمِلَّةَthe religion ofإِبْرَاهِيمَAbrahamحَنِيفًاinclined to truth:وَاتَّخَذَand Allah tookاللَّهُAllahإِبْرَاهِيمَAbrahamخَلِيلًاa friend.

And he said: "And who is better in religion than one who has submitted his face to Allah while being a doer of good and following the religion of Abraham, inclining to truth? And Allah took Abraham as a friend."

وبِمَجْمُوعِAnd through the totalityهَذَيْنِof these twoالْوَصْفَيْنِdescriptionsعَلَّقَHe statedالسَّعَادَةَthe happinessفَقَالَsaying:بَلَىIndeedمَنْwhoأَسْلَمَhas submittedوَجْهَهُhis faceلِلَّهِto Allahوَهُوَand he isمُحْسِنٌa doer of goodفَلَهُfor himأَجْرٌ مُّعَظَّمٌa great rewardعِندَwithرَبِّهِhis Lord,,وَلَاand there is noخَوْفٌfearعَلَيْهِمْupon themوَلَاand there is noهُمْtheyيَحْزَنُونَwill grieve.

And through the totality of these two descriptions, He stated happiness, saying: "Indeed, whoever has submitted his face to Allah while being a doer of good, has a great reward with his Lord, and there is no fear upon them, nor will they grieve."

كَمَاAsعَلَّقَhe statedبِالْإِيمَانِby faithبِالْآخِرِin the Hereafterوَالْعَامِلِand the good deedsالصَّالِحَةِrighteousفِيinقَوْلِهِhis saying:إِنَّIndeedالَّذِينَthose whoءَامَنُواhave believedوَالَّذِينَand those whoهَادُواhave followed Judaismوَالنَّصَارَىand Christiansوَالصَّابِئِينَand Sabiansمَنwhoeverءَامَنَbelievesبِاللَّهِin Allahوَالْيَوْمِand the Dayالْآخِرِof Judgmentوَعَمِلَand doesصَالِحًاrighteous deedsفَلَهُمْfor themأَجْرُهُمْtheir rewardعِندَwithرَبِّهِمْtheir Lordوَلَاand there is noخَوْفٌfearعَلَيْهِمْupon themوَلَاand there is noهُمْtheyيَحْزَنُونَwill grieve.

As he stated by faith in the Hereafter and righteous deeds, in his saying: "Indeed, those who have believed and those who have followed Judaism and Christians and Sabians, whoever believes in Allah and the Day of Judgment and does righteous deeds, for them is their reward with their Lord, and there is no fear upon them, nor will they grieve."

وَهَذَاAnd thisيَدُلُّindicatesعَلَىthatالإِسْلَامَIslamالَّذِيwhichهُوَisإِخْلَاصُsincerityالدِّينِthe religionلِلَّهِof Allahمَعَwithالإِحْسَانِdoing goodوَهُوَand it isالْعَمَلُthe righteous deedsالصَّالِحَةُthat God has commandedبِهِisوَهُوَisوَالْإِيمَانُand faithالمُقَرُونُcombinedبِالْعَمَلِwith deedsالصَّالِحَةِrighteousمُتَلَازِمَانِare inseparable.فَإِنَّFor indeedالْوَعْدَthe promiseعَلَىofالْوَصْفَيْنِthe two descriptionsوَعْدٌis one promiseوَأَجْرٌthe rewardوَهُوَand the rewardوَانْتِفَاءُnon-existence of punishmentالْعِقَابِand punishment.,,فَإِنَّFor indeedانتِفَاءَthe absence ofالْخَوْفِfearعَلَّةٌis a reasonتَقْتَضِيthat necessitatesانتِفَاءَthe non-existence ofمَاwhatيُخَافُis feared,,وَلِهَذَاand for this reasonقَالَHe said:فَلَاSo there is noخَوْفٌfearعَلَيْهِمْupon themوَلَاand there is noهُمْtheyيَحْزَنُونَwill grieve.

And this indicates that Islam, which is the sincerity of the religion to Allah combined with doing good, is the righteous deeds that Allah has commanded and it is faith combined with righteous deeds are inseparable. For indeed, the promise on the two descriptions is one promise of reward, which is the reward and the non-existence of punishment. For indeed, the absence of fear is a reason that necessitates the non-existence of what is feared, and for this reason, He said: "So there is no fear upon them, nor will they grieve."

لَمْNotيَقُلْHe said:لَاnoيَخَافُونَthey fear,فَهُمْtheyلَاnoخَوْفٌfearعَلَيْهِمْupon themوَإِنْand ifكَانُواthey areيَخَافُونَfearingاللَّهَAllah,,وَنَفَىand he negatedعَنْهُمْfrom themأَنْthatيَحْزَنُواthey grieve,,لِأَنَّbecauseالْحَزَنَgriefإنَّمَاonlyيَكُونُoccursعَلَىforمَاضٍthe past,,فَهُمْtheyلَاdo notيَحْزَنُونَgrieveبِحَالٍin any state.لَاnotفِيinالْقَبْرِthe graveوَلَاnorفِيinعَرَصَاتِthe plainsالْقِيَامَةِof the resurrection.,,بِخِلَافٍUnlikeالْخَوْفِthe fearفَإِنَّهُfor indeed itقَدْmayيَحْصُلَoccur to themقَبْلَbeforeدُخُولِenteringالْجَنَّةِthe paradise.,,وَلَاand there is noخَوْفٌfearعَلَيْهِمْupon themفِيinالْبَاطِنِ, butكَمَاasقَالَHe said:أَلَاindeedإِنَّthe indeedأَوْلِيَاءُalliesاللَّهِof Allahلَاnoخَوْفٌfearعَلَيْهِمْupon themوَلَاand there is noهُمْtheyيَحْزَنُونَwill grieve.

He did not say: "They do not fear," so they have no fear upon them even if they fear Allah. And he negated that they grieve, because grief only occurs for the past, for they do not grieve at all, neither in the grave nor in the plains of the resurrection. Unlike fear, for indeed it may occur to them before entering Paradise, and there is no fear upon them in the unseen, as He said: "Indeed, the allies of Allah have no fear upon them, nor will they grieve, those who have believed and were conscious of Him."

وَأَمَّاAnd as forالْإِسْلَامِIslamالْمُطْلَقِthe absoluteالْمُجَرَّدِpure,فَلَيْسَthere is notفِيinكِتَابِthe Bookاللَّهِof Allahتَعْلِيقٌa statementعَنْregardingدُخُولِenteringالْجَنَّةِParadiseبِهِby it,,كَمَاasفِيinكِتَابِthe Bookاللَّهِof Allahتَعْلِيقٌa statementعَنْregardingدُخُولِenteringالْجَنَّةِParadiseبِالْإِيمَانِby faithالْمُطْلَقِ, whatالْمُجَرَّدِis pure.كَقَوْلِهِAs His saying: سَابِقُواStriveإِلَىtoمَغْفِرَةٍthe forgivenessمِّنfromرَّبِّكُمْyour Lordوَجَنَّةٍand Paradiseعَرْضُهَاwhose width isكَـعَرْضِlike the width ofالسَّمَاءِthe heavensوَالْأَرْضِand the earthأُعِدَّتْpreparedلِلَّذِينَfor those whoءَامَنُواhave believed.

And as for absolute Islam, there is no statement in the Book of Allah regarding entering Paradise by it, as there is a statement regarding entering Paradise by pure faith. As His saying: "Strive to the forgiveness from your Lord and to a Paradise whose width is like the width of the heavens and the earth, prepared for those who have believed."
