أَفْشُواSpreadالسَّلاَمَpeaceبَيْنَكُمْamong you..
Spread peace among you.
وَقَالَAnd saidفِيinالْحَدِيثِthe hadithالْمُتَّفَقِagreedعَلَيْهِuponمِنْfromرِوَايَةِthe narrationأَبِيof AbuهُرَيْرَةَHurairaوَرَوَاهُand narrated itالْبُخَارِيُّby Al-Bukhari
And it was said in the agreed upon hadith from the narration of Abu Huraira, narrated by Al-Bukhari.
مِنْFromحَدِيثِthe hadithابْنِof IbnعَبَّاسٍAbbas,,قَالَsaidالنَّبِيُّthe Prophet::لَاDo notيَزْنِيcommit adulteryالْزَّانِيthe adultererحِينَwhenيَزْنِيhe commits adulteryوَهُوَwhile he isمُؤْمِنٌa believer،,وَلَاand do notيَشْرَبَdrinkالْخَمْرَthe wineحِينَwhenيَشْرَبُهَاhe drinks itوَهُوَwhile he isمُؤْمِنٌa believer،,وَلَاand do notيَسْرِقَstealالسَّارِقُthe thiefحِينَwhenيَسْرِقُhe stealsوَهُوَwhile he isمُؤْمِنٌa believer،,وَلَاand do notيَنْتَهِبْplunderنَهْبَةًa plunderذَاتَof high statusشَرَفٍdignityيُرَفَعُraisedالنَّاسُthe peopleإِلَيْهِto himفِيin whichأَبْصَارِهِمtheir eyesوَهُوَwhile he isمُؤْمِنٌa believer..
The Prophet said: "The adulterer does not commit adultery while he is a believer, nor does the thief steal while he is a believer, nor does the plunderer plunder a plunder of high status that raises the people's eyes to him while he is a believer."
فَيُقَالُIt is said::اسْمُThe nameالإِيمَانِof faithتَارَةًsometimesيُذْكَرُis mentionedمُفْرَداًsingularlyغَيْرَnotمُقَرُونٍcoupledبِاسْمِwith the nameالإِسْلَامِof Islamوَلَاnorبِاسْمِwith the nameالْعَمَلِof righteous deedsالصَّالِحَاتِgood deedsوَلَاnorغَيْرِهِمَاothers،,وَتَارَةًand sometimesيُذْكَرُis mentionedمُقَرُوناًcoupled::إِمَّاeitherبِالْإِسْلَامِwith Islamكَأَقَوْلِهِas His sayingفِيinحَدِيثِthe hadithجِبْرِيلَGabriel::مَاWhatالإِسْلَامُis Islam?؟?وَمَاAnd whatالإِيمَانُis faith?,,وَكَأَقَوْلِهِand as His sayingتَعَالَى(the Most High)::إِنَّIndeedالْمُسْلِمِينَthe Muslimsوَالْمُسْلِمَاتِand the Muslim womenوَالْمُؤْمِنِينَand the believersوَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِand the believing women.﴿[الأحزابAl-Ahzab::٣٥35﴾],,وَقَوْلِهِAnd His sayingعِزَّthe Mightyوَجَلَّand Majestic::قَالَتِSaidالأَعْرَابُthe BedouinsآمَنَّاWe have believed.قُلْSayلَمْnotتُؤْمِنُواyou have believed.وَلَكِنButقُولُواsayأَسْلَمْنَاWe have submitted.))[[الحجراتAl-Hujurat::١٤14]],,وَقَوْلِهِAnd His sayingتَعَالَى(the Most High)::فَأَخْرَجْنَاSo We removedمَنْwhoeverكَانَwasفِيهَاin itمِنَfromالْمُؤْمِنِينَthe believers.مَاThat whichوَجَدْنَاWe foundفِيهَاin itغَيْرَother thanبَيْتٍhouseمِّنَfromالْمُسْلِمِينَthe Muslims.﴾][[الذارياتAdh-Dhariyat..((
It is said: The name of faith is sometimes mentioned singularly, not coupled with the name of Islam, nor with the name of righteous deeds or others, and sometimes it is mentioned coupled: either with Islam as in the hadith of Gabriel: "What is Islam? And what is faith?" And as His saying: ﴿Indeed, the Muslims and the Muslim women, and the believers and the believing women﴾ [Al-Ahzab: 35], and His Mighty and Majestic saying: ﴿The Bedouins said: We have believed. Say: You have not believed, but say: We have submitted﴾ [Al-Hujurat: 14], and His Most High saying: ﴿So We removed whoever was in it from the believers; We found not in it other than a house of Muslims﴾ [Adh-Dhariyat].
وَكَذَٰلِكَAnd likewiseذُكِرَmentionedالإِيمَانُthe faithمَعَwithالْعَمَلِthe righteous deedsالصَّالِحَاتِgood deeds،,وَذَٰلِكَand thatفِيinمَوَاضِعَplacesمِنَfromالْقُرْآنِthe Quran,,كَمَاas in His sayingتَعَالَى(the Most High)::إِنَّIndeedالَّذِينَthose whoآمَنُواbelievedوَعَمِلُواand didالصَّالِحَاتِrighteous deeds.﴿[البقرةAl-Baqarah::٢٧٧277﴾]
And likewise, faith is mentioned with righteous deeds, as in His saying: "Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds" [Al-Baqarah: 277].
وَإِمَّاAnd eitherمُقَرُوناًcoupledبِالَّذِينَwith those whoأُوتُواwere givenالْعِلْمَthe knowledgeكَمَاas in His sayingتَعَالَى(the Most High)::وَقَالَAnd saidالَّذِينَthose whoأُوتُواwere givenالْعِلْمَthe knowledgeوَالْإِيمَانَand faith.﴿[الرُّومِAr-Rum::٥٦56﴾],,وَقَوْلِهِAnd His saying﴿[يَرْفَعُwill raiseاللَّهُAllahالَّذِينَthose whoآمَنُواbelievedمِنكُمْamong youوَالَّذِينَand those whoأُوتُواwere givenالْعِلْمَthe knowledgeدَرَجَاتٍthe ranks.﴾]
Or coupled with those who were given knowledge, as in His saying: "And those who were given knowledge and faith" [Ar-Rum: 56]. And His saying: "Allah will raise those who have believed among you, and those who were given knowledge" [Al-Mujadila: 11].
وَحَيْثُمَاAnd wheneverذُكِرَit is mentionedالَّذِينَthose whoآمَنُواhave believedفَقَدْit hasدَخَلَenteredفِيهِمin themالَّذِينَthose whoأُوتُواwere givenالْعِلْمَthe knowledgeفَإِنَّهُمْfor they areخِيَارُهُمْthe best of them.قَالَIt is saidتَعَالَى(the Most High)::وَالرَّاسِخُونَAnd those firm in knowledgeفِيinالْعِلْمِknowledgeيَقُولُونَsayوَأَمَنَّاand we have believedبِهِin it.كُلٌّEveryoneمِنْfromعِندِatرَبِّنَاour Lord.﴾[آلِعِمْرَانAal-E-Imran::٧7﴾],,وَقَالَand said﴿[لَكِنَّButالرَّاسِخُونَthe firm onesفِيinالْعِلْمِknowledgeمِنْهُمْfrom themوَالْمُؤْمِنُونَand the believersيُؤْمِنُونَbelieveبِمَاin whatأُنزِلَwas revealedإِلَيْكَto youوَمَاand whatأُنزِلَwas revealedمِنfromقَبْلِكَbefore you﴾[النساءAn-Nisa::١٦٣163﴾]
And whenever those who have believed are mentioned, it includes those who have been given knowledge, for they are the best among them. The Most High said: "And those firm in knowledge say: 'We believe in it, everyone from our Lord, ﴾[Aal-E-Imran: 7]' and He said: 'But the firm in knowledge among them and the believers believe in what was revealed to you and what was revealed before you'" [An-Nisa: 163].
وَيُذْكَرُAnd it is also mentionedأَيْضاًalsoلَفْظَthe wordالْمُؤْمِنِينَof the believersمُقَرُوناًcoupledبِالَّذِينَwith those whoهَادُواwere Jewsوَالنَّصَارَىand the Christiansوَالصَّابِئِينَand the Sabians،,ثُمَّthenيَقُولُhe says::مَنْWhoآمَنَhas believedبِاللَّهِin Allahوَالْيَوْمِand the Dayالآخِرِof Judgmentوَعَمِلَand has doneصَالِحًاrighteous deedsفَلَهُمْfor themأَجْرُهُمْis their rewardعِندَwithرَبِّهِمْtheir Lordوَلَاand there is notخَوْفٌfearعَلَيْهِمْupon themوَلَاnorهُمْtheyيَحْزَنُونَwill grieve.﴾[البقرةAl-Baqarah..فَالْمُؤْمِنُونَSo the believersفِيinابْتِدَاءِthe beginningالْخِطَابِof the addressغَيْرَnotالثَّلَاثَةَthe three,,وَالْإِيمَانand faithالْآخَرُthe otherيَعُمُّهُمْencompasses them,,,كَمَاjust asيَعُمُّهُمْit encompasses themفِيinقَوْلِهِHis saying::الَّذِينَthose who have believedآمَنُواwhoوَعَمِلُواhave believedصَالِحَاتٍand acted﴾[ٱنظُرْLookصَحِيحٍauthenticالْجَامِعِAl-Jamiالصَّغِيرِas-Saghirوandالرَّقَمِthe number٧٧٠٧7707وَالرَّقْمِand the number٧٧٠٦7706وand٧٧٠٨7708
It is also mentioned the word "believers" coupled with those who were Jews, and the Christians, and the Sabians, then he says: "Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, and does righteous deeds, for them is their reward with their Lord, and there is no fear upon them, nor will they grieve" [Al-Baqarah]. So, the believers at the beginning of the address do not include the three, and faith encompasses them, just as it encompasses them in His saying: "Those who have believed and acted righteously..." [Look at the authentic Al-Jami: 7707, 7706, and 7708].
