فِضَّةٌSilverوَحَصَبَاؤُهَاand its pebblesاللُّؤْلُؤُPearlوَالْيَاقُوتُand rubyوَمَلَاطَهَاand its mortarالمِسْكُMuskوَتُرَابَهَاand its soil
Silver and its pebbles are pearls and rubies, and its mortar is musk and its soil.
الزَّعْفَرَانُSaffronمَنْWhoeverيَدْخُلَهَاenters itيَنْعَمُwill be pleasedوَلَاand will notيَئْيَسُdespairوَيَخْلُدُand will be eternalوَلَاand will notيَمُوتَdieلَاNoتَبْلَىworn outثِيَابَهُhis clothesوَلَاand notيَفْنَىperishشَبَابَهُhis youth
Saffron. Whoever enters it will be pleased and will not despair, will be eternal and will not die. His clothes will not wear out, nor will his youth perish.
كَيْفَThusفِيinالدُّرِّthe pearlالْمَنْثُورِthe scattered
Thus in the scattered pearl.
**الْمَلَاطُThe mortarبِكَسْرِis brokenالْمِيمِthe letter 'm'هُوَIt isالَّذِيthat whichيُجْعَلُis madeبَيْنَbetweenلَبِنَةٍthe brickالذَّهَبِof goldوَالْفِضَّةِand silver
* The mortar is that which is made between the brick of gold and silver.
وَعَنْAnd narrated byعَبْدِ اللّهِAbdullahبْنِson ofعُمَرَOmarرَضِيَmay Allah be pleased with himعَنْهَاabout herقَالَsaidرَسُولُ اللّهِthe Messenger of Allah:«"الْكَوْثَرُAl-Kawtharنَهْرٌriverفِيinالْجَنَّةِparadiseحَافَّتَاهُon its banksمِنْofذَهَبٍgoldوَمَجْرَاهُand its streamعَلَىonالدُّرِّthe pearlوَالْيَاقُوتِand the rubyوَتُرَبَتَهُand its soilأَطْيَبُmore fragrantمِنَthanالْمِسْكِmuskوَمَاؤُهُand its waterأَحْلَىsweeterمِنَthanالْعَسَلِhoneyوَأَبْيَضُand whiterمِنَthanالثَّلْجِthe snow»"رَوَاهُNarrated byابْنُ مَاجَهIbn Majahوَالْتُّرْمِذِيُّand Tirmidhiوَقَالَand he saidحَدِيثٌhadithحَسَنٌgoodصَحِيحٌauthenticكَذَاThusفِيinالتَّرْغِيبِthe encouragementوَالْتَّرْهِيبِand the warning
And narrated by Abdullah bin Omar may Allah be pleased with him, he said: the Messenger of Allah said: "Al-Kawthar is a river in Paradise, lying on its banks of gold, and its stream is on pearls and rubies, and its soil is more fragrant than musk, and its water is sweeter than honey and whiter than snow." Narrated by Ibn Majah and Tirmidhi, and he said, the hadith is good and authentic. Thus in the encouragement and the warning.
وَعَنْAnd narrated byأَبِيAbuسَعِيدٍSaeedرَضِيَmay Allah be pleased with himعَنْهُabout himقَالَsaidرَسُولُ اللّهِthe Messenger of Allah:«"إِنَّIndeedأَدْنَىthe lowestأَهْلِthe peopleالْجَنَّةِof Paradiseمَنْزِلَةٌa stationالَّذِيthat whichلَهُfor himثَمَانُونَeightyأَلْفٍthousandخَادِمٌservants
And narrated by Abu Saeed may Allah be pleased with him, he said: the Messenger of Allah said: "Indeed, the lowest of the people of Paradise is the one who has eighty thousand servants."
الْحَدِيثُThe hadithرَوَاهُNarrated byالتُّرْمِذِيُّTirmidhiوَتَمَامُهُand its completionفِيinالتَّرْغِيبِthe encouragementوَالْتَّرْهِيبِand the warning
The hadith is narrated by Tirmidhi and its completion is in the encouragement and the warning.
وَفِيAnd inدَقَائِقَthe subtletiesالأَخْبَارِthe news:قَالَIt is saidكَعْبٌK'ab:سُئِلَwas askedرَسُولُ اللّهِthe Messenger of Allahعَنْaboutأَشْجَارِthe treesالْجَنَّةِof Paradise،,فَقَالَHe saidلَاNoتَيَبَسُdry upأَغْصَانُهَاits branchesوَلَاnorتَسْقُطُfall offأَوْرَاقُهَاits leavesوَلَاnorتَفْنَىperishأَرَاطَبُهَاits fruits
And in the subtleties of the news: it is said that K'ab was asked about the trees of Paradise, he said: No, their branches do not dry up, nor do their leaves fall off, nor do their fruits perish.
وَفِيAnd in itأَيْضًاalsoعَنْaboutأَبِيAbuهُرَيْرَةَHurairaاللّهُAllahتَعَالَىthe Exaltedعَنْهُabout himأَنْthatفِيinالْجَنَّةِParadiseشَجَرَةٌa treeيَسِيرُthe rider walksالْرَّاكِبُthe riderفِيinظِلِّهَاits shadeمِئَةٌone hundredعَامٍyearsلَاnoيَقْطَعُهَاcut it off,,وَفِيAnd in itأَيْضًاalsoقَالَsaidالنَّبِيُّthe Prophet:«"الْجَنَّةُParadiseبَيْضَاءُis whiteتَتَلَأْلَأُsparklingلَاnoيَنَامُsleepأَهْلُهَاits peopleوَلَاnorشَمْسٌthe sunفِيهَاin itوَلَاnorلَيْلٌnightفِيهَاin it
And in it also, narrated by Abu Huraira may Allah be pleased with him, that in Paradise there is a tree under which the rider walks for one hundred years and does not cut it off. And in it also, the Prophet said: "Paradise is white, sparkling, its people do not sleep, nor is there sun in it, nor is there night in it."
