خَمْسِينَfiftyأَلْفٍthousandسَنَةٍyearsكَمَاasفِيinدَقائقَdetailsالأَخْبَارِof news
Fifty thousand years, as in the details of the news.
وَandفَصْلٍdiscussionكَofقَالَsaidالمُؤَلِّفُthe authorأَبُوAbuحَنِيفَةَHanifaرَضِيَتْmay [Allah] be pleasedاللَّهُAllahعَنْهُwith him
And the discussion goes: The author Abu Hanifa, may Allah be pleased with him, said:
وَنُقَرِّرُand we affirmأَنَّthatقِرَاءةَreadingالْكِتَابِthe bookيَوْمَon the dayالْقِيَامَةِof resurrectionحَقٌّis true::«"اقْرَأْReadكِتَابَكَyour bookكَفَىsufficientبِنَفْسِكَby yourselfالْيَوْمَtodayعَلَيْكَupon youحَسِيبًاa reckoner»"
And we affirm that the reading of the book on the Day of Resurrection is true, as Allah Almighty said: "Read your book; sufficient is yourself upon you this day as a reckoner."
أَقُولُI say::يُقَالُit is saidلَهُto him::اقْرَأْReadكِتَابَكَyour bookالَّذِيwhichأَمْلَأْتَهُyou filled itبِالظُّلْمِwith oppressionفِيinالدُّنْيَاthe worldكَفَىsufficientبِنَفْسِكَby yourselfالْيَوْمَtodayعَلَيْكَupon youحَسِيبًاa reckoner،,
I say: It will be said to him: "Read your book, which you filled with oppression in the world; sufficient is yourself upon you today as a reckoner."
وَإِذَاAnd whenجُمِعَgathersاللَّهُAllahالْخَلَائِقَthe creaturesفِيinعَرَصَاتِthe plainالْقِيَامَةِof resurrectionوَأَرَادَand He wantsأَنْtoيُحَاسِبَهُمْhold them to accountتَطَايَرَتْthey will be scatteredعَلَيْهِمْupon themكُتُبُهُمْtheir booksكَتَطَايُرِlike the scatteringالثَّلْجِsnowوَيُنَادِيand calls outمِنْfromقَبْلِthe presenceالرَّحْمَانِof the Most MercifulيَاOفُلَانَperson so-and-soخُذْtakeكِتَابَكَyour bookبِيَمِينِكَin your right hand،,وَيَاand Oفُلَانَperson so-and-soخُذْtakeكِتَابَكَyour bookبِشْمَالِكَin your left hand،,وَيَاand Oفُلَانَperson so-and-soخُذْtakeكِتَابَكَyour bookمِنْfromوَرَاءَbehindظَهْرِكَyour backفَلَاso that notيُقَدَّرَis ableأَحَدٌanyoneأَنْtoيَأْخُذَtakeكِتَابَهُhis bookإِلَّاexceptكَمَاasأَمَرَcommanded،,فَالْمُتَّقُونَthe piousيُعْطَوْنَare givenكُتُبَهُمْtheir booksبِأَيْمَانِهِمْin their right hands،,وَالأَشْقِيَاءُand the wretchedبِشُمَالِهِمْin their left hands،,وَالكُفَّارَand the disbelieversمِنْfromوَرَاءَbehindظُهُورِهِمْtheir backsكَمَاasقَالَsaidاللَّهُAllahتَعَالَىٰthe Exalted::وَأَمَّاAnd as forمَنْwhoأُوتِيَis givenكِتَابَةًthe bookبِيَمِينِهِin their right handالْآيَةَthe verseكَمَاasفِيinدَقائقَdetailsالأَخْبَارِof news
And when Allah gathers the creatures on the plains of the Day of Resurrection and wants to hold them to account, their books will be scattered upon them like snow. He will call out from the presence of the Most Merciful: "O so-and-so, take your book in your right hand; and O so-and-so, take your book in your left hand; and O so-and-so, take your book from behind your back. No one will be able to take their book except as commanded. The pious are given their books in their right hands and the wretched in their left hands, and the disbelievers from behind their backs, as Allah said: 'And as for who is given the book in his right hand,' the verse is as mentioned in the details of the news.
وَفِيAnd inالْخَبَرِthe news::إِذَاIfأَرَادَHe intendsاللَّهُAllahتَعَالَىٰthe Exaltedمُحَاسَبَةَto hold to accountالْخَلَائِقَthe creaturesيُنَادِيcalls outمُنَادٍa callerمِنْfromقَبْلِthe presenceالرَّحْمَانِthe Most MercifulأَيْنَWhereالنَّبِيُّthe Prophet,,الْهَاشِمِيُّthe Hashemiteالْحَرَمِيُّthe sacredفَيُعْرَضُHe will showرَسُولُthe messengerاللَّهِof Allahفَيَحْمَدُand praises
And in the news: If Allah Almighty intends to hold the creatures to account, a caller will call out from the presence of the Most Merciful, 'Where is the Prophet, the Hashemite of the sacred?' Then the messenger of Allah will be shown, and he will praise Allah.
وَيُثْنِيand he glorifies
And he glorifies Allah.
فَتَتَعَجَّبُSo the masses are amazedالْجُمُوعُthe massesمِنْهُby himوَيَسْأَلُand asksرَبَّهُhis Lordأَنْthatلَاdo notيَفْضَحَexposeأُمَّتَهُhis nationفَيَقُولُand he says
So the masses are amazed at him and ask his Lord that He does not expose his nation, and he says.
قِرَاءةُReadingالْكِتَابِthe bookوَالْحِسَابِand the reckoningيَوْمَon the dayالْقِيَامَةِof resurrectionحَقٌّis true
Reading the book and the reckoning on the Day of Resurrection is true.
