دِينِيَMy religionفَصْلِChapterاَسْمٌNameقَالَSaidالْمُصَنِّفُThe authorأَبُوAbuحَنِيفَةَHanifaرَضِيَMay Allah be pleasedاللَّهُ عَنْهُwith him:(وَنَقْرُ(And we acknowledgeبِأَنَّthatالسُّؤَالَthe questioningأَنَاweمُنْكَرٌMunkarوَنَكِيرٌand Nakirحَقٌّis trueلِوُرُودِdue to the narrationالأَحَادِيثِ)of the hadiths)أَقُولُI say:سُؤَالٌthe questionمُنْكَرٌMunkarأَنَاweوَنَكِيرٌand Nakirحَقٌّis trueوَهُمَاand they areمَلَكَانِangelsإِذَاwhenوُضِعَplacedالْعَبْدُthe servantفِيinقَبْرِهِhis graveيَأْتِيَانِthey comeوَيَقْعُدَانِand sitالْعَبْدَthe servantسَوِيًّاtogetherوَيَسْأَلَانِهِand ask him:مَنْWhoرَبُّكَis your Lordوَمَنْand whoنَبِيُّكَis your Prophetوَمَاand whatدِينُكَis your religion?فَيَقُولُHe saysالْمُؤْمِنُthe believerفِيinالْجَوَابِthe answerاللَّهَAllahرَبِّيis my Lordوَمُحَمَّدٌand Muhammadنَبِيٌّis a Prophetوَالإِسْلَامُand IslamقَالَHe saidبَعْضُهُمsome of themتَدْخُلُentersالرُّوحُthe soulفِيintoالْجَسَدِthe bodyكَمَاasفِيinالدُّنْيَاthe worldly (life)الْبَعْضُهُمsome of themالسُّؤَالَthe questionلِلرُّوحِfor the soulدُونَwithoutالْجَسَدِthe bodyوَقَالَAnd he saidبَعْضُهُمsome of themتَدْخُلُentersالرُّوحُthe soulإِلَىtoالصَّدْرِthe chestوَقَالَand he saidبَعْضُهُمsome of themيَدْخُلُentersالرُّوحُthe soulبَيْنَbetweenالْجَسَدِthe bodyوَالْكَفَنِand the shroud*وَالصَّحِيحُAnd the correctنَحْنُweنُؤْمِنُbelieveبِذَلِكَin thisوَلَاand notنَشْتَغِلُwe engageبِكَيْفِيَّتِهِin its natureكَمَاasنُبِّهَit has been indicatedعَلَيْهِon itفِيinدَقائقَdetailsالأَخْبَارِthe newsوَغَيْرِهِand others*ثُمَّThenالحِكْمَةُthe wisdomفِيinالسُّؤَالِthe questionمُنْكَرٍMunkarوَنَكِيرٍand Nakir,أَنْis thatالْمَلَائِكَةُthe angelsطَعَنْتَhave accusedفِيinبَنِيthe childrenآدَمَof Adamحَيْثُas they saidقَالُوا:They said:أَتَجْعَلُWill You makeفِيهَاin itمَنْone whoيُفْسِدُcauses corruptionفِيهاin itوَيَسْفِكُand shedالدِّمَاءَblood,الْآيَةُthe verseفَرَدَّSo Allah respondedاللَّهُAllahعَلَيْهُمْto themقَوْلَهُمtheir sayingوَقَالَ:and said:إِنِّيIndeed, Iأَعْلَمُknowمَا لَاwhat you do notتَعْلَمُونَ»know."*فَيَبْعَثُThen He sendsاللَّهُAllahالْمَلَكَيْنِthe two angelsإِلَىtoقَبْرِthe graveالْمُؤْمِنِof the believerيَسْأَلَانِthey askعَنْaboutذَلِكَthatإِلَىuntilآخِرِهِthe endفَيَأْمُرُهُمَاAnd He commands themأَنْtoيَشْهَدَاbear witnessبَيْنَin front ofيَدَيَّMy handالْمَلَائِكَةِthe angelsبِمَاwith whatسَمِعَاthey heardمِنَfromالْعَبْدِthe servantالْمُؤْمِنِthe believerلَأَنَّbecauseأَقَلَّthe leastالشُّهَدَاءِof the witnessesاثْنَانِtwoثُمَّThenيَقُولُHe saysالرَّبُّthe LordجَلَّGlorifiedعَلَىٰA.
My religion is Chapter Name. The author Abu Hanifa may Allah be pleased with him said: (And we acknowledge that the questioning of Munkar and Nakir is true due to the narration of the hadiths). I say: The questioning of Munkar and Nakir is true, and they are angels. When the servant is placed in his grave, they come and sit with the servant, and ask him: Who is your Lord? Who is your Prophet? What is your religion? The believer says in response: Allah is my Lord, Muhammad is my Prophet, and Islam is [my religion]. Some say that the soul enters the body as in this worldly life, while others say that the questioning is for the soul without the body. Some say the soul enters into the chest, and some say: The soul enters between the body and the shroud. The correct belief is that we believe in this and do not engage in the nature of it as stated in the details of the news and others. Then the wisdom in the questioning of Munkar and Nakir is that the angels accused the children of Adam when they said: Will you make in it one who causes corruption in it and sheds blood? So Allah responded to their saying and said: "Indeed, I know what you do not know." Then Allah sends the two angels to the grave of the believer to ask him about that and so on. He commands them to bear witness in front of the angels of what they heard from the believer, because the least number of witnesses is two, then the Lord says.
