For I, if God wills, will mention the clear phrases and not mention the doctrines of the misguided sects independently. And also, I will add in it, if God wills, nice and great benefits of encouragement and warning, and I named it: "The Magnificent Jewel in Explaining the Will of Imam Abu Hanifa."

Then know that whenever I mention the commentator in absolute terms, my intention is the most complete scholar that commented on this book, and whenever I mention the explanation of the Amali, my intention is the explanation of 'Shams al-Din Muhammad bin Abi al-Lutuf al-Maqdisi', and whenever I mention the sea of discourse, my intention is the book of the scholar 'Seyf al-Haq Abu al-Mu'in al-Nasafi'.

And by God, success be upon him, the compiler Abu Hanifa said: (Faith is the confession with the tongue and the confirmation with the heart. I say, and it is found in some copies of the text: and the knowledge with the heart; and the heart, with the opening, is the heart as said by al-Akhtari. And faith in the language is an expression of confirmation. God said, reporting about the brothers of Yusuf, peace be upon him: "And what you are to us a believer..." that is, as a confirmer, as the commentator said, may mercy be upon him, as in the sea of discourse. Faith legally is the confession with the tongue and the confirmation with the heart of the oneness of God, the Exalted, and in the greater fiqh for the compiler: It is mandatory that he says, 'I believe in God, His angels, His books, His messengers, and the resurrection after death.' The confession alone is not a faith.
