كُلَّهَاallلَكُانَwould have beenمَسْتَوِيًاsettledعَلَىonالْعَرْشِthe throneوَعَلَىand onالْأَرْضِthe earthوَعَلَىand onالسَّمَاءِthe skyوَعَلَىand onالْحَشُوشِthe bathroomsوَالْأَفْرَادِand individualsلِأَنَّهُbecause He isقَادِرٌcapableعَلَىonالْأَشْيَاءِthingsمَسْئُولٌresponsibleعَلَيْهَاfor themوَإِذَاAnd ifكَانَwasقَادِرًاcapableعَلَىonالْأَشْيَاءِthingsكُلَّهَاallوَلَمْand notيَجُزْit is permissibleعِندَatأَحَدٍanyoneمِنَofالْمُسْلِمِينَthe Muslimsأَنْto sayإِنَّthatاللَّهَGodعَزَّ وَجَلَّthe Almightyمَسْتَوٍis settledعَلَىonالْحَشُوشِthe bathroomsوَالْأَخِيلَةِand the visionsلَمْnotيَجُزْit is permissibleأَنْto beيَكُونَto beالِاسْتِوَاءُthe settlingعَلَىonالْعَرْشِthe throneالِاسْتِيْلاءُthe conqueringالَّذِيwhichهُوَisعَامٌّgeneralفِيinالْأَشْيَاءِthingsكُلَّهَاallوَوَجَبَand it is necessaryأَنْto beيَكُونَbeمَعْنَاهُits meaningاسْتِوَاءٌsettlingيَخْتَصُّspecializesالْعَرْشَthe throneدُونَwithoutالْأَشْيَاءِthe thingsكُلَّهَاall
If everything would have been settled on the throne, on the earth, and on the sky, and on the bathrooms and individuals, it is because He is capable of things responsible for them.
وَزَعَمَتْAnd they claimedالْمُعْتَزِلَةُthe Mu'tazilaوَالْحَرُورِيَّةُand the Haruriyyahوَالْجَهْمِيَّةُand the JahmiyyahأَنَّthatاللَّهَGodعَزَّ وَجَلَّthe Almightyفِيinكُلِّeveryمَكَانٍplaceفَلَزِمَهُمْso it follows themأَنَّهُthat He isفِيinبَطْنِthe bellyمَرْيَمَMaryوَفِيand inالْحَشُوشِthe bathroomsوَالْأَخِيلَةِand the visionsوَهَذَاand thisخِلَافٌis contradictingالدِّينِthe religionتَعَالَىExaltedاللَّهُGodعَنْaboveقَوْلِهِمْtheir saying
The Mu'tazila, Haruriyyah, and Jahmiyyah claimed that God Almighty is in every place, so it necessitates that He is in the belly of Mary and in the bathrooms and visions, and this is contrary to the religion. Exalted is God above their saying.
(جَوَابٌ)AnswerوَيُقَالُAnd it is saidلَهُمْto themإِذَاifلَمْnotيَكُنْis notمَسْتَوِيًاsettledعَلَىonالْعَرْشِthe throneبِمَعْنَىin a meaningيَخْتَصُّspecializesالْعَرْشِthe throneدُونَwithoutغَيْرِهِother than itكَمَاasقَالَsaidذَاكَthatأَهْلُthe peopleالْعِلْمِof knowledgeوَنْقَلَةُand narratorsالْآثَارِof the reportsوَحَمَلَةُand carriersالْأَخْبَارِthe newsوَكَانَand if it wasاللَّهُGodعَزَّ وَجَلَّthe Almightyفِيinكُلِّeveryمَكَانٍplaceفَهُوَso He isتَحْتَunderالْأَرْضِthe earthالَّتِيwhichالسَّمَاءِthe skyفَوْقَهَاis above it
And it is said to them: If He is not settled on the throne in a way that specializes the throne without other than it, as the people of knowledge and narrators of the reports said, and if God Almighty is in every place, then He is under the earth that the sky is above.
وَإِذَاand ifكَانَwasتَحْتَunderالْأَرْضِthe earthوَالْأَرْضُand the earthفَوْقَهَاis above itوَالسَّمَاءُand the skyفَوْقَaboveالْأَرْضِthe earthوَفِيand inهَذَاthisمَاwhatيَلْزَمُكُمْmust you sayأَنْthatتَقُولُواyou sayإِنَّthatاللَّهَGodتَحْتَunderالتَّحْتَthe underوَالْأَشْيَاءِand the thingsفَوْقَهُabove itوَإِنَّهُand that He isفَوْقَaboveالْفَوْقَthe aboveوَالْأَشْيَاءِand the thingsتَحْتَهُbelow itوَفِيand inهَذَاthisمَاwhatيَجِبُit must beأَنْthat He isتَحْتَunderمَاwhatهُوَisفَوْقَهُabove itوَفَوْقَand aboveمَاwhatهُوَisتَحْتَهُbelow itوَهَذَاand thisالْمُحَالُthe impossibleالْمُتَنَاقِضُthe contradictingتَعَالَىExaltedاللَّهُGodعَنْaboveإِفْتِرَائِكُمْyour fabricationsعَلَيْهِagainst Himعُلُوًّاgreatnessكَبِيرًاbig
And if He was under the earth and the earth is above Him and the sky is above the earth, there is what you must say: that God is under the under and the things are above Him, and that He is above the above and the things are below Him. And in this, it must be that He is under what is above Him and above what is below Him, and this is the impossible contradicting. Exalted is God above your fabrications against Him in great status.
