هَذَاthisقَالَsaidخَفِتُI fearedوَاللَّهِby Godأَنْthatيُقَدِّمَhe comesعَلَيَّto meفَأَعْطَيْتُهُso I gave himالتَّقِيَّةَthe taqiyyaوَذَكَرَand he mentioned
He said, "I feared by God that he would come to me, so I gave him the taqiyya and he mentioned... "

سَمِعْتُI heardإِسْمَاعِيلَIsmailبْنَthe son ofأَبِيAbuالْحَكَمِal-HakamيَذْكُرُmentioningعَنْaboutعُمَرَOmarبْنَthe son ofعُبَيْدٍUbaydالطَّنَافِسِيِّal-TanufsiأَنْthatحَمَّادٍHammadيَعْنِيmeaningابْنَthe son ofأَبِيAbuسُلَيْمَانَSulaymanبَعَثَsentإِلَىtoأَبِيAbuحَنِيفَةَHanifaإِنِّيI amبَرِيءٌinnocentمِمَّاfrom whatتَقُولُyou sayإِلَّاexceptأَنْthatتَتُوبَyou repentوَكَانَand there wasعِندَهُwith himابْنُthe son ofأَبِيAbuعُنْبَةٍAnba
I heard Ismail the son of Abu al-Hakam mentioning from Omar ibn Ubayd al-Tanufsi that Hammad, meaning the son of Abu Sulayman, sent to Abu Hanifa, 'I am innocent of what you say except that you repent,' and there was with him Ibn Abu Anba.
قَالَ:he said:فَقَالَso he said
So he said:
أَخْبِرْنِيinform meجَارَكَyour neighborأَنْthatأَبِيAbuحَنِيفَةَHanifaدَعَاهُinvited himإِلَىtoمَاwhatاسْتُتِيِبَwas repented fromمِنْهُfrom itبَعْدَafterمَاwhatاسْتُتِيِبَwas repented from
He informed me that Abu Hanifa invited him to what he was repented from after he was repented from it.
وَذَكَرَand he mentionedعَنْaboutأَبِيAbuيُوسُفَYusufقَالَ:he said:نَاظَرْتُI debatedأَبَاAbuحَنِيفَةَHanifaشَهْرَيْنِtwo monthsحَتَّىuntilرَجَعَhe returnedعَنْfromخَلْقِthe creationالْقُرْآنِthe Quran
He mentioned from Abu Yusuf who said: "I debated Abu Hanifa for two months until he returned from the creation of the Quran."
وَقَالَAnd he saidسُلَيْمَانُSulaymanبْنُthe son ofحَرْبٍHarbالْقُرْآنُthe Quranغَيْرُnotمَخْلُوقٌcreatedوَأَخْبَرَand informed
And Suleiman ibn Harb said, "The Quran is not created," and he informed...
