For Him to be seen with the eyes, it necessitates that God, the Exalted and Majestic, cannot be a seer, nor knowing, nor able.

لِأَنَّbecauseالْعَالِمَthe one who knowsالْقَادِرَthe ableالرَّائِيthe seerجَائِزٌis permissibleأَنْtoيَرَىhe sees

Because the one who knows, the able, and the seer is permissible to be seen.

فَإِنَّSo ifقَالَsaidقَائِلٌa speakerقَوْلُthe sayingالنَّبِيِّthe Prophetلَاnotتَرَوْنَyou will seeرَبَّكُمْyour Lordيَعْنِيmeaningتَعْلَمُونَyou knowرَبَّكُمْyour Lordاضْطِرَارًاnecessarily

So if a speaker said the saying of the Prophet, 'You will not see your Lord,' meaning that you will know your Lord necessarily.

قِيلَit was saidلَهُto himإِنَّthatالنَّبِيَّthe Prophet(Peace be upon him)قَالَsaidلِأَصْحَابِهِto his companionsهَذَاthisعَلَىonالْبُشْرَىthe good tidings

It was said to him that the Prophet, peace be upon him, said to his companions, 'This is on the good tidings.'

فَكَيْفَSo howبِكُمْwith youإِذَاifرَأَيْتُمْyou sawاللَّهَGodعَزَّthe Exaltedوَجَلَّand Majesticوَلَاnorيَجُوزُit is permissibleأَنْthatيُبَشِّرَهُمْhe gives them good tidingsبِأَمْرٍabout somethingيُشْرِكُهُمْassociates themفِيهِin itالْكَافِرِينَthe disbelieversعَلَىwithالنَّبِيِّthe Prophet(Peace be upon him)

So how about you if you saw God, the Exalted and Majestic, and it is not permissible for him to give them good tidings about something that associates them with the disbelievers about the Prophet, peace be upon him.

قَالَsaidتَرَوْنَyou will seeرَبَّكُمْyour Lordوَلَيْسَand is notيَعْنِيmeaningرُؤْيَةًseeingدُونَwithoutرُؤْيَةًseeingبَلْbutذَاكَthatعَامٌّgeneralفِيinرُؤْيَةِseeingالْعَيْنِthe eyeوَرُؤْيَةِand seeingالْقَلْبِthe heart

The Prophet said, 'You will see your Lord,' and it does not mean seeing without seeing, but that is general in the seeing of the eyes and the seeing of the heart.

(دَلِيلٌ(Another evidenceآخَرُAnother))إِنَّIndeedالْمُسْلِمِينَthe Muslimsاتَّفَقُواagreedعَلَىonأَنْthatالْجَنَّةَthe Paradiseفِيهَاin itمَاwhatلَاnotعَيْنٌan eyeرَأَتْhas seenوَلَاnorأُذُنٌan earسَمِعَتْheardوَلَاnorخَطَرٌthoughtعَلَىonقَلْبِthe heartبَشَرٍof a humanمِنَofالْعَيْشِthe livingالسَّلِيمِthe soundوَالنَّعِيمِand the blissالْمُقِيمِperpetual

Indeed, the Muslims agreed that Paradise contains what no eye has seen, nor ear has heard, nor what has crossed the heart of a human from sound living and perpetual bliss.

وَلَيْسَand there is notنَعِيمٌa blissفِيinالْجَنَّةِParadiseأَفْضَلُbetterمِنْthanرُؤْيَةِseeingاللَّهِGodعَزَّthe Exaltedوَجَلَّand Majesticبِالأَبْصَارِwith the eyes

And there is not a bliss in Paradise that is better than seeing God, the Exalted and Majestic, with the eyes.

وَأَكْثَرُAnd mostمِنْofعَبْدِthe servantاللَّهِGodعَزَّthe Exaltedوَجَلَّand Majesticعَبَدَهُhis servantلِلنَّظَرِto lookإِلَىtoوَجْهِهِHis face

And most of God's servants, the Exalted and Majestic, worship him to look at His face.

فَإِذَاSo whenلَمْnotيَكُنْit wasبَعْدَafterرُؤْيَةِseeingاللَّهِGodأَفْضَلَbetterمِنْthanرُؤْيَةِseeingنَبِيِّهِHis Prophetوَكَانَتْand it wasرُؤْيَةٌseeingالنَّبِيِّthe Prophetاللَّهِof Godأَفْضَلُbetterلَذَّاتِfor the delightsالْجَنَّةِof Paradiseكَانَتْit wasرُؤْيَةُseeingاللَّهِGodعَزَّthe Exaltedوَجَلَّand Majestic

So when there is not after seeing God better than seeing His Prophet, as for the delights of Paradise, seeing God, the Exalted and Majestic, is better than seeing the Prophet of God.

وَإِذَاAnd ifكَانَthere wasذَاكَthatكَذَلِكَsuchلَمْnotيُحَرِّمْhe forbidsاللَّهُGodأَنْبِيَاءَهُHis prophetsالرُّسُلِthe Messengersوَمَلَائِكَتَهُand His angelsالْمُقَرَّبِينَthe close onesوَجَمَاعَةَand the congregationالْمُؤْمِنِينَof the believersوَالصِّدِّيقِينَand the truth-tellersالنَّظَرَlookingإِلَىtoوَجْهِهِHis face

And if that is such, God did not forbid His prophets, the Messengers, and His close angels, and the congregation of the believers and the sincere ones, looking at His face.

وَذَٰلِكَAnd thatأَنَّthatالرُّؤْيَةُseeingلَاnotتُؤَثِّرُaffectsفِيinالْمَرْئِيِّthe visibleلِأَنَّbecauseرُؤْيَةُthe seeingالرَّائِيthe seerتَقُومُstandsبِهِby it

And that seeing does not affect the visible because the seeing stands by it.
