يَدِينٍhandsبِلَاwithoutكَيْفَhowكَمَاasقَالَhe saidخَلَقْتُI createdبِيَدَيَّwith my hands
He has hands without how, as he said: "I created with My hands."
وَكَمَاAnd asقَالَhe saidبَلْratherيَدَاهُHis handsمَبْسُوطَتَانِare outstretched
And as he said: "Rather His hands are outstretched."
وَأَنَّAnd thatلَهُHe hasعَيْنَيْنِtwo eyesبِلَاwithoutكَيْفَhowكَمَاasقَالَhe said
And that He has two eyes without how, as He said.
تَجْرِيThey flowبِأَعْيُنِنَاwith our eyesوَأَنَّAnd thatمَنْwhoزَعَمَclaimedأَنْthatأَسْمَاءَthe namesاللَّهِof Allahغَيْرَهُother than Himكَانَwasضَالًّاmisguided
They flow with our eyes, and whoever claims that the names of Allah are other than Him is misguided.
وَأَنَّAnd thatاللَّهَAllahعُلُوًّاis exaltedكَمَاasقَالَhe saidأَنزَلَهُHe revealed itبِعِلْمِهِby His knowledgeوَكَمَاAnd asقَالَhe saidوَمَاand nothingتَحْمِلُgets pregnantمِنْofأُنْثَىfemaleوَلَاand notتَضَعُgives birthإِلَّاexceptبِعِلْمِهِby His knowledge
And that Allah is exalted, as He said: "He revealed it by His knowledge," and as He said: "And nothing gets pregnant of female and does not give birth except by His knowledge."
وَنُثَبِّتُAnd we affirmاللَّهَAllahالسَّمْعَhearingوَالْبَصَرَand sightوَلَاand notتُنْفِيdenyذَلِكَthatكَمَاasنَفَتْهُthey negated itالْمُعْتَزِلَةَthe Mu'tazilaوَالجَهْمِيَّةَand the Jahmiahوَالخَوَارِجَand the Khawarij
And we affirm Allah's hearing and sight, and do not deny that as the Mu'tazila, Jahmiah, and Khawarij denied.
وَنُثَبِّتُAnd we affirmأَنَّthatلِلَّهِfor Allahقُوَّةًpowerكَمَاasقَالَhe saidأَوْHaveلَمْnotيَرَوْاthey seeأَنَّthatاللَّهَAllahالَّذِيwhoخَلَقَهُمْcreated themهُوَHe isأَشَدُّstrongerمِنْهُمْthan themقُوَّةًpower
And we affirm that Allah has power, as He said: "Have they not seen that Allah who created them is stronger than them in power?"
وَنَقُولُAnd we sayإِنَّthatكَلَامَspeechاللَّهِof Allahغَيْرُis notمَخْلُوقٌcreatedوَأَنَّهُand that
And we say that the speech of Allah is not created and that He has not created anything except that He said to it "Be!"
كَمَاasقَالَhe saidإِنَّمَاverilyقَوْلُنَاour sayingلِشَيْءٍto somethingإِذَاwhenأَرَدْنَاهُwe intendأَنْthatنَقُولَwe sayلَهُto itكُنْbeفَيَكُونُand it is
As He said: "Verily, our saying to something when we intend to say to it 'Be!' and it is."
وَأَنَّهُAnd thatلَاnotيَكُونَthere isفِيinالْأَرْضِthe earthشَيْءٌthingمِنْofخَيْرٍgoodوَشَرٍّand badإِلَّاexceptمَاwhatشَاءَwilledاللَّهُAllahوَأَنَّand thatالْأَشْيَاءِthingsتَكُونُareبِمَشِيئَةِby the willاللَّهِof Allahعَزَّ وَجَلَّthe Exalted and Majestic
And that there is no thing in the earth of good and evil except what Allah wills, and that things are by the will of Allah, the Exalted and Majestic.
وَأَنَّAnd thatأَحَدًاanyoneلَاnotيَسْتَطِيعُis ableأَنْtoيَفْعَلَdoشَيْئًاsomethingقَبْلَbeforeأَنْtoيَفْعَلَهُhe does itوَلَاand notيَسْتَغْنِيbe independentعَنْfromاللَّهِAllahوَلَاand notيَقْدِرُis able toعَلَىtoالخُّرُوجِexitمِنْfromعِلْمِknowledgeاللَّهِof Allahعَزَّ وَجَلَّthe Exalted and Majesticوَأَنَّهُand thatلَاnotخَالِقٌcreatorإِلَّاexceptاللَّهُAllahوَأَنَّand thatأَعْمَالُactionsالْعَبْدِthe servantمَخْلُوقَةٌare createdلِلَّهِfor Allahمُقَدَّرَةٌordainedكَمَاasقَالَhe saidخَلَقَكُمْHe created youوَمَاand whatتَعْلَمُونَyou know
And that no one is able to do anything before Allah does it, and that actions of the servant are created for Allah, ordained as He said: "He created you and what you know."
وَأَنَّAnd thatالْعِبَادُthe servantsلَاnotيَقْدِرُونَare ableأَنْtoيَخْلُقُواcreateشَيْئًاanythingوَهُمْwhile theyيَخْلُقُونَcreate
And that the servants are not able to create anything while they create.
وَكَمَاAnd asقَالَhe saidهَلis thereمِنْanyخَالِقٌcreatorغَيْرُother thanاللَّهِAllah
And as he said: "Is there any creator other than Allah?"
وَكَمَاAnd asقَالَhe saidلَاnotيَخْلُقُونَthey createشَيْئًاanythingوَهُمْwhile theyيَخْلُقُونَcreate
And as he said: "They do not create anything while they create."
وَكَمَاAnd asقَالَhe saidأَفَمَنْSo whoيَخْلُقُcreatesمِثْلَlikeمَنْofلَاnotيَخْلُقُهُcreates him
And as he said: "So who creates like the one who does not create?"
