يَطْرَأُoccursعَلَيْهِنَّon themعَدَمٌlack
There occurs a lack on them.
عَنْfromعَلِيٍّAliرَضِيَpleasedاللَّهُAllahعَنْهُfrom himقَالَsaid
From Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, he said.
رَسُولُmessengerاللَّهِof Allahإِنَّthatفِيinالْجَنَّةِthe paradiseلَمَجْتَمَعٌthere is a gatheringلِلْحُورِfor the hourisالْعِينِthe beautiful onesيَرْفَعْنَthey raiseأَصْوَاتَهُنَّtheir voicesبِأَصْوَاتٍwith voicesلَمْnotيُسْمَعْheardالْخَلَائِقُthe creaturesمِثْلَهَاlike it
The Messenger of Allah said that in the paradise there is a gathering for the beautiful houris who raise their voices with voices that the creatures have not heard like them.
يَقُلْنَthey say::نَحْنُwe areالْخَالِدَاتُthe eternal onesفَلَاso notنَبِيدُwe die،,وَنَحْنُand we areالنَّاعِمَاتُthe comfortable onesفَلَاso notنَبْأَسُwe suffer،,وَنَحْنُand we areالرَّاضِيَاتُthe satisfied onesفَلَاso notنَسْخَطُwe become angry
They say: 'We are the eternal ones, so we do not die, and we are the comfortable ones, so we do not suffer, and we are the satisfied ones, so we do not become angry.'
طُوبَىblessednessلِمَنْfor whomكَانَwasلَنَاto usوَكُنَّاand we wereلَهُfor himقَوْلُهُhis saying
Blessedness for whom was to us and we were to him, his saying.
فَلَاso notنَبِيدُwe will perishأَيْthat isفَلَاso notنَهْلِكُwe will dieكَذَاlike thatفِيinالْمَصَابِيحِthe lampsوَلَاand notيَفْنَىperishعِقَابَpunishmentاللَّهِof Allahتَعَالَىthe exaltedوَثَوَابَهُand his rewardسَرْمَدًeverlastingly
So, it is said that we will not perish, that is, we will not die like that in the lamps, nor will the punishment of Allah, the Exalted, and his reward perish everlastingly.
السَّرْمَدُeverlasting::الدَّائِمُthe eternalقَالَsaidاللَّهُAllahتَعَالَىthe exalted«"وَفِيand inالْعَذَابِthe punishmentهُمْtheyخَالِدُونَare eternal
The everlasting is the eternal; Allah, the Exalted, said: "And in the punishment, they are eternal."
أَيthat isبَاقُونَthey remainدَائِمُونَeverlastingوَقَالَand saidاللَّهُAllahتَعَالَىthe exalted«"وَالَّذِينَand those whoآمَنُواbelievedوَعَمِلُواand didالصَّالِحَاتِgood deedsسَنُدْخِلَهُمْwe will enter themجَنَّاتٍgardensتَجْرِيflowمِنْfromتَحْتَهَاbeneath themالْأَنْهَارِthe riversخَالِدِينَeternalفِيهَاin themأَبَدًاforever
That is, they remain eternal; and Allah, the Exalted, said: "And those who believed and did good deeds, we will enter them into gardens from beneath which rivers flow, remaining in them forever."
وَعْدُpromiseاللَّهِAllahحَقًّاtrulyوَالْآيَاتُand the versesوَالْأَحَادِيثُand the hadithsفِيinخُلُودٍeternityأَهْلِthe peopleالْجَنَّةِof paradiseوَخُلُودٍand eternityأَهْلِthe peopleالنَّارِof the fireكَثِيرَةٌmany
The promise of Allah is truly a reality; and the verses and the hadiths regarding the eternity of the people of paradise and the eternity of the people of the fire are many.
( وَاللَّهُ(And Allahتَعَالَىthe exaltedيَهْدِيguidesمَنwhomeverيَشَاءُHe willsفَضْلاًout of favorمِنْهُfrom Himوَيُضِلُّand misguidesمَنْwhomeverيَشَاءُHe willsعَدْلًاwith justiceمِنْهُfrom Himوَإِضْلَالَهُand misguidanceخَذْلَانَهُand abandonmentوَتَفْسِيرِand the explanationالْخَذْلَانِof abandonmentأَنَّthatلَاnotيُوَفَّقُguidesالْعَبْدَthe servantإِلَىtoمَاwhatيَرْضَاهُhe is pleased withعَنْهُfrom himوَهُوَand it isعَدْلٌjusticeمِنْهُfrom Him
(And Allah, the Exalted, guides whomever He wills out of favor from Him, and misguides whomever He wills with justice from Him; and misguidance and abandonment, the explanation of abandonment is that the servant is not guided to what he is pleased with from Him, and it is justice from Him.)
وَكَذَلِكَAnd likewiseعُقُوبَةُthe punishmentالْمَخْذُولِof the abandonedعَلَىforالْمَعْصِيَةِthe sinعَدْلٌis justiceلَاnotظُلْمٌinjusticeفِيهَاin itلَأَنَّbecauseاللَّهُAllahتَعَالَىthe exaltedالْعَظَمَةُthe greatnessوَالْفَضْلُand the favorلَاnotتَفَاوُتٌdifferبَيْنَهَاamong themوَقَاسِمٌand Qasimوَطَاهِرٌand Tahirوَإِبْرَاهِيمُand Ibrahimكَانُواthey wereبَنِيthe sonsرَسُولِmessengerاللَّهِof Allahوَفَاطِمَةَand Fatimaوَرُقَيَّةَand Ruqayyahوَزَيْنَبَand Zaynabوَأُمِّ كُلْثُومٍand Umm Kulthum
And likewise, the punishment of the abandoned for the sin is justice, not injustice in it, because Allah, the Exalted, and the greatness and the favor do not differ among them; and Qasim, Tahir, and Ibrahim were the sons of the Messenger of Allah, and Fatima, Ruqayyah, Zaynab, and Umm Kulthum.
