يَشْفَعُintercedeعِنْدَهُwith himإِلَّاexceptبِإِذْنِهِby his permissionوَهُوَand it isإِثْبَاتٌaffirmationالشَّفَاعَةُthe intercessionلِمَنfor whomأَذِنَhas permittedلَهُfor himبِهَاwith it
No one shall intercede with Him except by His permission. This is the affirmation of intercession for those whom He has permitted it.
قَالَHe saidرَسُولُ اللَّهِthe Messenger of AllahشَفَاعَتِيMy intercessionلِأَهْلِfor the people ofالْكَبَائِرِmajor sinsمِنْfromأُمَّتِيmy nationمَنwhoكَذَّبَdisbelievesبِهَاin itلَنْshall notيَنَالَهَاobtain it
The Messenger of Allah said: "My intercession is for the people of major sins from my nation. Whoever disbelieves in it will not obtain it."
وَقَالَAnd he saidرَسُولُ اللَّهِthe Messenger of Allahﷺ(peace be upon him)يَشْفَعُwill intercedeيَوْمَon the dayالْقِيَامَةِof Resurrectionثَلاثَةٌthreeالْأَنْبِيَاءِprophetsثُمَّthenالْعُلَمَاءَthe scholarsثُمَّthenالشُّهَدَاءِthe martyrs
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "On the Day of Resurrection, three will intercede: the prophets, then the scholars, then the martyrs."
وَالشَّفَاعَةُAnd intercessionمَصْدَرٌis the source ofالشَّفِيعُthe intercessorوَهُوَand he isمَنْwhoيَطْلُبُseeksقَضَاءَto fulfillحَاجَةًthe needغَيْرَهُof anotherمُشْتَقٌّderivedمِنَfromالشَّفَعِthe pairوَوَزْنٌand weighingالأَعْمَالِof deedsبِالْمِيزَانِwith the scaleيَوْمَon the dayالْقِيَامَةِof Resurrection
Intercession is the source of the intercessor, who is one that seeks to fulfill the need of another. It is derived from the pair, and the weighing of deeds with the scale on the Day of Resurrection is a truth.
حَقٌّis the truthقَالَsaidاللَّهُAllahتَعَالَىthe ExaltedوَالْوَزْنُAnd the weighingيَوْمَئِذٍthat dayالْحَقُّis the truth
It is true that the weighing on that day is the truth, as Allah the Exalted said.
وَالْإِقْرَارُAnd the acknowledgmentبِالْوَزْنِof the weighingيَوْمَon the dayالْقِيَامَةِof Resurrectionمِنَofمَذْهَبٍthe creedأَهْلِof the peopleالسُّنَّةِof Sunnahوَالْجَمَاعَةِand the community
The acknowledgment of the weighing on the Day of Resurrection is from the creed of the Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jama'ah.
وَاللَّهُAnd Allahتَعَالَىthe Exaltedأَعْلَمُknowsبِكَيْفِيَّتِهِhow it isوَقَالَAnd he saidالإِمَامُthe Imamالأَعْظَمُthe greatestفِيinكِتَابِthe bookالْوَصِيَّةِof the testament
And Allah the Exalted knows how it is, and the greatest Imam said in the book of testament.
وَقِرَاءةُAnd the readingالْكُتُبِof booksحَقٌّis the truthلِقَوْلَةِfor the sayingتَعَالَىthe ExaltedاِقْرَأْReadكِتَابَكَyour bookكَفَىsufficientبِنَفْسِكَfor yourselfالْيَوْمَtodayعَلَيْكَupon you
And the reading of books is the truth for the saying of the Exalted: "Read your book; sufficient is your soul against you today."
وَحَوْضُAnd the basinالنَّبِيِّof the Prophetعَلَيْهِupon himالصَّلَاةُpeaceوَالسَّلَامُand blessingsحَقٌّis the truthقَالَHe saidرَسُولُ اللَّهِthe Messenger of Allahﷺ(peace be upon him)حَوْضِيَMy basinمِسِيرَةٌis a journeyشَهْرٍof a monthوَزَوَايَاهَاand its cornersسَوَاءٌare equalمَاؤُهُits waterأَبْيَضُis whiterمِنَthanالَّبَنِmilkوَرِيحُهُand its smellأَطْيَبُis more fragrantمِنَthanالْمِسْكَmuskوَكِيَازْنَتُهُand its vesselsكَالنُّجُومِare like the starsالسَّمَاءِof the skyمَنْwhoeverشَرِبَdrinksمِنْهُfrom itلَاneverيَظْمَأُwill thirstأَبَدًاever
And the basin of the Prophet (peace be upon him) is the truth; he said: "My basin is a month’s journey, and its corners are equal, its water is whiter than milk, and its smell is more fragrant than musk. Its vessels are like the stars of the sky; whoever drinks from it will never thirst again."
وَالْقِصَاصُAnd the retributionفِيْمَاbetween whatبَيْنَbetweenالْخُصُومِthe adversariesبِالْحَسَنَاتِby good deedsيَوْمَon the dayالْقِيَامَةِof Resurrectionحَقٌّis the truthوَإِنَّAnd indeedالْكَلَامُthe speechكُلَّهَاallمُسْتَوِيَةٌis equalفِيinالْفَضِيلَةِvirtueوَالْعَظَمَةِand greatnessإِلَّاexceptأَنْthatلِبَعْضِهَاsome of themفَضِيلَةٌvirtueالذِّكْرِof remembranceوَفَضِيلَةٌand the virtueالْمَذْكُورِof the mentioned
And the retribution between the adversaries by good deeds on the Day of Resurrection is the truth. And indeed, all speech is equal in virtue and greatness, except that some of them have the virtue of remembrance and the virtue of the mentioned, like Ayat al-Kursi.
